Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi There,
After running the updater my Admin login has died. Unsure to what else this could be effecting.
Any ideas on how to resolve?

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Check for blank lines at the end of the php files. That should fix it.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Thank you.
All working now.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Spoke too soon!
No error.. just module not working at all. Select different prices fro color and for sizing however no dynamic update.
I do have image Handler 2 installed, Ajax image swapper and Fual Slimbox if that could conflict ?
Sigh :(
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Issue resolved..
Thanks it is now loading dynamically!
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Spoke to soon again!
All working and loading dynamically. However..
I have a base product of say $100 for a product. This loads when you view the product. I then have say 3 attribute colors. Blue, Red, Green. Red costs more than the other products. If I click on red it loads the new price dynamically no problem. But if I then select Blue or Green the price does not go back to the base product value. It does show correct value when you enter the shopping cart just not on the dynamically edit amount!
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
To add to above.. the drop down size box works perfectly. Just not the radio values.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
What version are you using? There's an update that fixed many of my issues: New multilangual Version, posted by web28. I posted a refereance a few posts back. I did continue to have issues with radio buttons regardless, so I just switched to dropdowns for everything.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
There have been some issues with radios and it's mostly down to the text they contain in the label... Are there any brackets (other than the price adjustment) in your attribute names? This could be the issue
If not can you provide a link to a page that's failing?
Cheers
Dan
PS It's a little tricky for me to work on this at the minute as my wonderful telco terminated my service before the weekend because it has a complete inability to understand addresses... Trying to fix issues using only my phone is interesting to say the least
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan,
Had a chuckle about your connection predicament. Seen better days I take it.
Anyways in regards to radio values etc.. I'm not using any brackets myself but they are being added by attributes defaults.
In the attributes section under price and weight I have the price field edited only.
I'm using the latest Multilingual version.
http://www.yodgee.com.au/index.php?m...roducts_id=232
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
You're seeing there one of the other parts of the Updater that hasn't yet been fixed... What's happening is the 0 value radios aren't resetting the main price (I've tried a couple of times but it is a bit of a weird one)
The workaround for this is to set your 0 value attributes to a value of 0.0001... This should allow the Updater to reset the price
Let me know if this works or not
Good luck!
Dan (starting to get edgy now with no ADSL... Take a leg, just give me my connection back!)
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Thanks for getting back to me.
The method you suggested works which is great.
However, having ( +$0.00 ) under attributes looks a bit messy.
Hopefully there will be a work around for the option radio issue soon.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater...does it work with different quantities?
Thank you so much for all of your work on this module. I have read through the different posts and have looked at many examples of how it works, but I still have one question...I can't tell if the updater works with different quantities. I am very sorry if I missed this in one of the threads...I sell stationery products and most of our products have a 12 minimum with a discount at different quantities. We also offer different sizes for a different price. So, for example, we offer an invitaiton that comes in the following:
5x7
4x9.25
4x5.5 postcard
4x5.5 with envelope
Each of those are priced by attributes and have the same discount for the same qty breakdowns, but start at different prices. They have a minimum of 12, but customers can order any number thereafter. So, could the customer enter a number, say 57, and then select 5x7 and would the updater work? Or, would they have to add the 57 to their cart to see what the total cost would be (which is what they have to do now). Would your mod work with something like this? Any info would be a great help.
Thanks in advance for your time.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Didn't find anything about discounts. When use discount the price not uppdate with the discount price. this should be nice to see.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
Yeah, sorry, no discount support at the minute... The good news is I do now know how to do it :smile: (I know, this is taking ages... Sorry)
Dan
P.S. web28: Can I make adjustments to your updated Updater? (Just making sure)

Yes you can make adjustments.

Hey Chrome,
Since you're considering adjustments, I have another suggestion that most likely is not much additional coding. If you could include an option for a weight updater, that be awesome. :)
To add to that a little, I plan to add a ups shipping estimator on the product page sometime down the line, but it wasn't a priority because the attributes changed the weight, so the UPS estimator would be off until the weight was calculated. If the updated weight was shown on the product page I could have that date pulled to to the UPS shipping modual, and in a perfect world maybe I could have the shipping dynamically update as well. :yes:

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
@web28: Thanks... I'm currently doing some research (between many other projects)
@byoriginaldesign: Nice idea (though I may have to pick your brains over the finer details :wink:)... I do have a priority list for the Updater and sales are top of it because many people have been asking about it... New ideas and directions are always appreciated :smile:
I'm currently trying to catch up on everything after my stupid telco cut me off... It's surprising how much things mount up!
News soon hopefully!

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I love this addon.
Is there a way to have the updater, update when you change the amount of words in the pay per word sections?
If not automatically, is there an update button?
Thanks
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
The words thing is something I am aware of (there are notes about it at the beginning of the thread) but thus far no-one has needed the functionality so I put it aside temporarily
In my research for the next version I'm planning ways to add this... There's still no timescale roadmap for the next version I'm afraid... I can only ask for your patience please
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Thank you.
In the meantime is there a way of maybe pressing a button to get it to update without adding it to the cart?
Thanks

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
What ist the meaning of:
Onload quantity: Cart add INPUT discovered (1)
Initial phase failure: Price not found!
The jscript_updater.php I got from DynamicPriceUpdater_en_v092.
My System is zc 1.3.8a on Apache/1.3.34 (Unix) PHP/5.2.6.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
ok. The "Initial phase failure: Price not found!"-failure I got. There are no SPAN-Tags nor classNames "productSpecialPrice", "normalprice" or "productPriceDiscount".
But why? The tpl_product_info_display.php has this in:
Code:
<!--bof Product Price block -->
<h2 id="productPrices" class="productGeneral">
<?php
// base price
if ($show_onetime_charges_description == 'true') {
$one_time = '<span >' . TEXT_ONETIME_CHARGE_SYMBOL . TEXT_ONETIME_CHARGE_DESCRIPTION . '</span><br />';
} else {
$one_time = '';
}
echo $one_time . ((zen_has_product_attributes_values((int)$_GET['products_id']) and $flag_show_product_info_starting_at == 1) ? TEXT_BASE_PRICE : '') . zen_get_products_display_price((int)$_GET['products_id']);
?></h2>
<!--eof Product Price block -->
Any ideas?

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
No, it wasn't the span-tag. The problem is, that I use:
Currency: SFr.
defaultThousands_Point: '
This looks for example like: SFr. 1'500.00 (or in HTML SFr. 1'500.00)
One pageload, the debug-msg is:
Code:
Onload quantity: Cart add INPUT discovered (1)
Onload base price: 500.00
Currencies Format: SFr. 1'000.00
Onload default currency locator: Left: SFr. - Right: 1'000.00
Price Format: .
defaultDecimal_Point: .
Price Format: .
defaultThousands_Point: '
Onload SELECT: Name - id[3] : ID - attrib-3
Onload: --- End of loading procedures ---
But, if I click on the first select-option, the price ist calculated wrong!!!
Ex: On a product with price: SFr. 500.00 should be added just SFr. 1.29 to result in SFr. 501.29, but I do get fantastic SFr. 5.001'000.00!
The debug-log grows with:
Code:
updatePrice: SELECT ID attrib-3 is now NULL
updSP: Cancelled
Any hints?
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
Unfortunately there isn't a workaround currently for this... The problem is being caused by the currency format... It's going to be one of the issues addressed in the upcoming release
Incidentally the last debug messages you have provided are standard:
Code:
updatePrice: SELECT ID attrib-3 is now NULL
This is assigning internal values to the attributes
This is saying that the 'second price' feature (used for displaying a price next to the add cart button) is not in use
Apologies for not having an immediate solution for this

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I added the file in the correct folder, refreshed a product page, started choosing attributes, and I don't see any changes in price. Am I missing something? From the readme, it looked like all you had to do was install the file.
ZC: 1.3.8

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
That certainly should be the case
Can you provide a link to the page that's failing?
Dan

Re: Dynamic Price Updater

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
Try this: there is a line in the Updater file that starts with
Code:
var _secondPrice = 'cartAdd';
Change 'cartAdd' to false
Don't use quotes or remove the semicolon (;)
Let me know if this works
Dan
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
That didn't work. Just to verify, I changed it to...
Code:
var _secondPrice = false;
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
Sorry, I'm an idiot... I meant this line:
Code:
var _sidebox = 'manufacturers';
Set this to false as you did with the second price bit
Let me know how it goes
Cheers
Dan
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
That didn't work either.
Just for future clarification, I've set them both back to the default, since they didn't work.
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan,
I was ignoring a script error, because I'm fairly sure I know the cause of it...
The line is:
Code:
while (objlab.nodeName != "LABEL" && Zaehler <= 3) {
and I'm fairly sure the error is happening because my attribute names contain HTML for a java tooltip.
I don't need the add-on to pull the attribute option name at all and am leaving the sidebox off due to the error being obvious there, but I'd love to get rid of the error altogether.
Any thoughts?
The best example product page is: http://www.wholesale4realtors.com/ca...roducts_id=193

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I have just installed the Dynamic Price Updater v. 98 and it's working great as far as dynamically updating the price both at the top and bottom of the page. Awesome! Love it!
One problem. In the side box it is changing all the prices by two decimal points. A $45.00 shirt is showing up as $4500 in the side box. Any suggestions for fixing that?
http://www.oddbodkin.com/shop/index....roducts_id=402
Thanks for any help you can offer. :)

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi all
I wonder, could I ask a favour? For experimental purposes could you try replacing v0.98 with the older version in my signature? I'm unfamiliar with the specific issues and a comparison may well help
byoriginaldesign: I'm disinclined to think it's any HTML code you may have in a Javascript tooltip (it may be possible) but I'm thinking something else may be afoot (I still haven't had proper time to scan the code additions that have been made by web28 so who knows what I'm missing :smile:)
devlyn: Never seen that before! Try changing out the script to see what happens; if something else breaks at least I can narrow down the solution
Changing the file should be easy: rename the original file you uploaded to include an underscore (_) at the beginning then upload my slightly older file
Drop me a line here if this is possible
Apologies for the inconvenience
Dan
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I have installed your older version and the price is fine, but doesn't work with the other types of attributes like the 98 version does. I believe it has something to do with how the 98 script calls up the decimal places which is different than yours. I've been comparing the two with winmerge but haven't really had much luck with it. I have no real knowledge of PHP except really basic stuff.
Any suggestions?

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Is there a way to make the prices adjust and calculate how much more or less a different option would be?
example:
Option A which costs $10 (shows -$10)
Option B is Selected which costs $20
Option C which costs $30 (shows +10)
thank you,

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I had blank page issues with the cart but fixed it... it was caused by extra lines at the end of rl.vat_info.php after installing the multilingual version... now working great, thank you for the great mod.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
stevenlee: Are you talking about priced by attributes? I was under the impression that the Updater worked for that... If not please enlighten me and it can go in my ever-increasing list for V1 (proper)
spiritcraft: Ah, yes, the old 'headers sent' error... The blank lines at the end of the file may have been causing the session headers to fail... A trick for anyone experiencing a blank page is to add the following line to index.php (before the require for application_top.php)
Code:
define('STRICT_ERROR_REPORTING', true);
This should tell you the error that is occurring

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
You might want to try changing this line:
Code:
var _secondPrice = 'cartAdd';
to
Code:
var _secondPrice = false;
That should stop the erroneously located price display from appearing

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hello-
I uploaded the code to my website but the price updater seems to be working quite sporadically - I had it working once or twice and then it stopped working. Any ideas why it could be messing up?

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I got the price updater to work; however, there is an issue.
when you select an item off the default it correctly subtracts the correct sum of money, however if you switch back to the default selected item the price does not adjust back up accordingly.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi,
Thanks so much for the enormous amount of time you've spent on this. I would love to use it, but I'm having a tough time getting it to work for some reason. I've gone back and forth over this forum, and tried a few things, but to no avail.
Here is a link to the site I'm trying to make it work on. http://blackoliveeastnursery.net/zen...oducts_id=2231
I haven't added attributes to other pages, so I know it won't work on them, but I thought I would try it with this page first.
I have my variables set as listed below:
thank you if you are able to help.
var objPrice, origPrice;
var defaultCurrencyLeft, defaultCurrencyRight;
defaultCurrencyLeft = defaultCurrencyRight = '';
var quantity = false; // do not alter this
var showQuantity = true; // show the quantity the customer has requested in the main price header
var showQuantitySB = true; // show the quantity the customer has requested in the sidebox
var prArr = nameArr = new Array(); // holds an array of prices to be adjusted (for multiple price adjustments)
var _oflag = false; // do not alter this
var seeker = new RegExp(/\(\s*([+-]?)([^0-9]*)([0-9,]+\.[0-9]+)([^0-9)]*)\s*\)/);
// Updater sidebox settings
var _sidebox = false; // set this to: false - don't use or the ID of the sidebox you want the display to insert above (must be exact)
var objSB = false; // this holds the sidebox object
// Second price setting
// the following settings allow a second price to be displayed... if a page is very long this allows you to add another price display
// thanks to Ryk on the Zen Cart forums for the idea and pointing out the issue
var _secondPrice = false; // set this to either false for disabled or supply the ID of an element for the price to appear BEFORE... for example, cartAdd
var _SPDisplay = 'always'; // governs the behaviour of the second... 'always' permanently displays and 'update' shows the second price only when an attribute is selected
var objSP = false; // please don't adjust this
// debug settings
var _debug = true; // set to false to disable debug output
var _db = '';
var _dbdiv = false;

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
@Nlussi219: Sorry for not responding sooner... The issue you are experiencing is a fairly common one... If I'm not mistaken the fix (which was not discovered by me) is to set your 0 cost attributes at 0.0001... This should force the update
@lndlyb4: I'll take a better look at your site later today but on first inspection I can't see that there is anything for the Updater to do on the page you have linked to... I will apply for an account later so I can see if anything changes (the 'login for price' will immediately scupper the Updater)... I also noticed that the dropdown has no prices listed in it but this may be because I need to log in
Watch this space!

Hi
I've taken another look at the site and seen the error... We may be dealing with a new strain here... I've only had a brief look but I'll investigate further when I finish work (although it is the weekend and I've been very much looking forward to it)
Oh, I've also changed the password to the account you created for me (security and all that)... If you have a need for the password please IM me (it's not one of the ones I use for my own security :wink:)

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan
I truly hate to bother you as I appreciate how much time and effort you generally give on the subject of your Dynamic Price Updater.
However, I am at my wits end not knowing if/what I am missing to get the updater to work on a site which I am developing.
http://www.prestigeringcompany.com/i...products_id=55
I previously had it working on this product, although oddly it only worked on this one product and no more! And when I say 'worked' this was only on 1 of the 2 attributes - Carat but not Metal. I changed the sort order of these attributes and it swapped to change the Metal price but not the Carat!
Aaargh! Since this, I have deleted a currency converter mod as well as deleted and reinstalled your updater.js file. And now the updater does not work at all.
Am I missing something painfully obvious that will not take too much of your time to advise on? I am viewing in IE where I continuously receive a Javascript 'error on page' error on each product page which may / may not be relevant:
Message: '1' is null or not an object
Line: 124
Char: 3
Code: 0
If you can help/advise me on getting this working I would be very grateful.
Regards,
Steve

Re: Dynamic Price Updater

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi.
I just want know, if can price updater work with dual pricing. I try to dual pricing but i get this:
Code:
UPDATER_PREFIX_TEXT€NaN$
and when I click on the another attribute i get another error:
Code:
UPDATER_PREFIX_TEXT€NaN (499$)
Can somebody help me and tell me what is wrong???

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi
I don't believe the Updater is compatible with dual pricing although I've never had occasion to test it... Could you provide a link so I could check it out?
On this note I will be getting round to looking at sites (for Steve and Bill) but I've had another mad week (I forgot my sister is visiting from Australia)... I'm sorry I haven't got round to it sooner

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Oli
You need to open the jscript_updater.php file in a text editor and find the line that says
If you change that to
Code:
var _debug = false;
You should be good to go
Let me know if there are any other issues
Dan

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Now why didn't I spot that...

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Me again...
I'm not great with JavaScript, so can't work out how to do this...
What I'm trying to do, is to change the sidebox the Updater creates, so it follows the same structure as other sideboxes, and so I can use the same (or similar) CSS. Ie;
Code:
<div id=updaterSB" class="box" style="width: 175px;">
<div class="box_head">Price Breakdown</div>
<div class="box_body">
<div id="updaterSBContent" class="sideBoxContent">
blah blah
</div>
</div>
</div>
Is this possible?
Cheers
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi again
Yes that's possible... The javascript that creates the sidebox will need to be updated... More concerning is that the sidebox update code will also need altering to accomodate locating the new div to update (wrapping it in another DIV will move the sidebox in the DOM tree)
I am going to be looking at sites tonight so I'll quickly code up a new sidebox creation routine (this will be specific for your site) that you will need to add to jscript_updater.php
From there there may be some trial and error getting the locator right but it shouldn't take too long
I do have priorities to other posters on the thread but I will try my best to get all issues addressed this evening
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan
Many thanks for your response. Apologies that I have only just replied as I have been away.
Is this an issue caused by the currency converter Mod which I installed as I have un-installed this now but the problem still exists?
I look forward to an update.
Regards,
Steve
-
Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Bill
In order that the issues have come to me I'll try to address yours first... Hopefully this will work... Firstly, find the line that says:
Code:
objPrice = document.getElementById('productPrices');
and change it to:
Code:
objPrice = document.getElementById('price').getElementsByTagName('P')[0];
Your template has a different document structure to what the Updater is expecting... Hopefully that's the only difference but give it a try and let me know what happens
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Steve
I think I might have found the problem with your site... Find this line
Code:
var temp = origHTML.match(/.*:\s*([^0-9 ]*)([0-9.,]+)(.*)/);
and change it to
Code:
var temp = origHTML.match(/s*([^0-9 ]*)([0-9.,]+)(.*)/);
I hope that works... Fixing problems is never easy when there's no way to test :smile:... Give it a try and let me know how it goes
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Oli
I've got something for you to try... Find the function called createSB()... After the line that contains
There is a solid block of code... This needs to be replaced with
Code:
objSB = document.createElement('DIV'); // create the sidebox wrapper
objSB.id = 'updaterSB';
objSB.className = 'box'; // set the CSS reference
// create the heading bit
var tempH = document.createElement('DIV');
tempH.id = 'updateSBHeading';
tempH.className = 'box_head';
tempH.innerHTML = 'Price Breakdown';
objSB.appendChild(tempH);
// create the content div
var tempC = document.createElement('DIV');
tempC.id = 'updaterSBContentBody';
tempC.className = 'box_body';
objSB.appendChild(tempC);
// create special inner inner div
var tempD = document.createElement('DIV');
tempD.id = 'updaterSBContent';
tempD.className = 'sideBoxContent';
tempD.innerHTML = 'innerHTML is cheating!';
tempC.appendChild(tempD);
Next you need to find this line
Code:
objSB.getElementsByTagName('DIV')[0].innerHTML = hText + newText;
and change it to
Code:
objSB.getElementById('updaterSBContent').innerHTML = hText + newText;
and hopefully that should do it... Either that or break the whole thing in a spectacular way... Let me know
Cheers

Hi Oli
I have to confess at being quite surprised, and very pleased, that that worked... I wrote it completely blind and couldn't test it
Glad it works though!

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Works perfectly!
Might be good to package it up like that for download, as it's now the same format as the standard sideboxes etc.
Cheers mate!

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan
We've lost the IE javascript error but the price update is still not working when there is more than one attribute with a price difference.
http://www.prestigeringcompany.com/i...products_id=55
Only updates the price from the second of 2 priced attributes.
http://www.prestigeringcompany.com/i...roducts_id=137
Updates from the first and only priced attribute, of two attributes.
Hope you can help further with this.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Steve
I think here that the type of attributes you are using are causing the Updater to get confused... It is really only effective when a base price is specified and every other attribute is an increase on that (this will give the attribute prices the format of, e.g., (+£100) rather than (£100))
The Updater is trying to change 2 base prices... I think this issue was first addressed when the Updater was in its infancy but it's something I wasn't able to resolve at that time... I'm not sure what I can do about it now but the Updater is a constant beta (always in development) so I will look into it
Let me know what you think
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan
Ooooooh that's a blow. Due to the nature of the product ranges and the variable attributes, a base price is not what my client wants to use, but he also really wants the dynamic price updater. I have advised him of the situation and await his feedback to see if he is happy/prepared to restructure pricing or lose the dynamic price updater.
Do you feel with time you could achieve a resolution for the problem and if so is this likely to be in the near or distant future? I understand your time and effort is precious, therefore I have no problem in asking if a resolution could be achieved at a price?
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Steve
Unfortunately Updater plans for base price in this version doesn't look too good at the moment... I will keep the thread updated if anything arises though... I can say that there is no timescale currently
If you would like to discuss alternative options feel free to send me a PM on here or visit my site (http://chrome.me.uk) to contact me directly
Sorry I couldn't be more help at this time

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan,
I followed your instructions, but the price does not update when I choose a different option from the drop-down list. It does however, send the correct price to the shopping cart.
Thank you for helping me. If you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Bill
You're quite right that doesn't work... Sorry about that... Such is the way of coding without being able to test! I'll take another look at this later as I have to head out just now
Hopefully I'll have a fix for you soon
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Dan
The client is now going to restructure his pricing system with a base price, so hopefully all will be well from here.
Many thanks for your time.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I'm back. Gave up before, but I really need to get this working. I downloaded and installed rc1 and it isn't working either. The troubleshooting I've done in the past doesn't apply anymore because the mod has changed so much since then, so I don't really know where to begin.
http://development.carbonlessondeman...oducts_id=6897
I'll be happy to pm someone with access to the files if they could help, or if you have suggestions on what to try, I'll try it. Thinking that it might be my template, I downloaded a few of the free templates from the site here and it doesn't work with them either.

Try adding a + for the $0 option so it's set up like the +$2 option. I don't need this on my dropdowns but I am using an older version so perhaps that has something to do with it? This might help us narrow the problem.

Ran out of time to add - I don't think that it's the template. The easiest way to check is to use the default template and see if it makes a difference.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
By +, do you mean a positive number, something other than 0, like 0.0001 like I've seen suggested here before? If so, that's done now. If you mean something else, you'll have to explain. Actually, I made it a full penny so you could see that for sure.

I mean, add the + in the little box in the attributes controller to the left of the price, like you did for the $2 option. I haven't needed to make $0 be $.0001 like radio buttons need to be, but again I am using an older version so that might make a difference to what you need to do.
Just create an admin account for me and PM the details and I can check it out for you, should only take a few minutes to compare what your attributes look like. If I don't see a difference to the way I have my working ones set up then it will obviously be something else but at least that can be eliminated from the list.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
I'll be happy to try the default template if you think I should, but I'll have to download it because the old webmaster put all the template files into the classic folder instead of creating a new one. However, I did try about 5 different templates from different developers, so I doubt that's it.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Ok. I'll give you access. Give me just a minute.

Well then it sounds like it's not a templating issue which I thought was the case....
I haven't had any issues with dropdowns, they always worked correctly, it was radio buttons that took some figuring out to work right.... but I am happy to help, I am pretty familiar with this mod and we use many many attributes!:D
Just to get this out of the way, here is the version we use. Try it and see if it makes a difference.

Well, I couldn't see anything that would cause it to not work from the admin section side of things.
My ftp server appears to be down at the moment so I can't upload my older updater file to your server but you can give it a try. I will check it out tomorrow, I have an early day and need to get some sleep.

Ok. I uploaded it. Still not working. Let me know if you need anything else. I certainly appreciate your help.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi gary
I've taken a quick look at your site and have spotted the problem... The Updater isn't able to grab the original price for calculations
I'll take a look later on to see if there's an easy fix for you (I think it's an object selection issue)
I hope to also be releasing a new flashy updated Updater in the next week or 2 (provided my plan actually works!) that will be able to handle all sales and discounts
Cheers

My modified DPU 1.00 RC1 grab all prices from the ZenCart database.
So there are no more problems by grabbing prices from html-code.

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi web28
I've not reviewed your code fully but I did notice that 5 core files need to be updated... This isn't great for when an upgrade is needed and it kinda goes against the original ethic of the Updater in that it should be very easy to use, literally drag and drop
Can you upgrade to ensure these core files need no editing? I can understand the need for more complexity (my official upgrade will have a couple of extra files) but the upgrade path needs to be preserved
Cheers

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi chrome,
in my mod there are only 3 new lines in includes/modules/attributes and 1 new line in a language file
The rest is to edit the template files
This is a little bit more complicated as your concept, but it works with all price/attribute/currencies formats and the javascript is minimized for faster loading websites
Best regards

Any further thoughts for me. I'd really like to make this work on my site. It's such a great script!

Re: Dynamic Price Updater
Hi Bill
I'm really sorry and I confess I did forget :blush:... Thanks for reminding me
I'll look at the script again but it really can be very difficult to test without direct access... I can make suggestions but if you prefer you can PM me the details and I'll fix it in one go (theoretically)
Cheers

I sent you the access info via PM.
Sorry I didn't do this earlier to make it easier for you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
