Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
Hi,
I've installed the Simple SEO URL Mod - excellent I must say! - but I do have a slight issue with my advanced search. When I try and do a search it comes up with the following error:
Quote:
Moved Permanently
The document has moved here.
Additionally, a 400 Bad Request error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
The site is: http://www.rinatoofficefurniture.co.uk/advanced_search
Is anyone able to help me out on fixing this issue??
Many thanks.

1146 Table 'zencart3.links_aliases' doesn't exist
in:
[show fields from links_aliases]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields
I expereince the problem above, when i press admin, extra, simple seo, there are a few folders, that have been replaced, but i am not sure, if i am doing correctly, they are mainly include/classes/ssu/ core, i have some modules installed in my site, including module manager, jqlightbox and ih2, i am not sure if they crash to each other or not
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
well, yellow, i applied your soloutioin to delte some line in module manager and solved the 1164 error,
however, i know have the problem, when i press on the links, it shows
Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 404
I run a multi language site, i am not so sure where the problem is, i change the local.config file as you mentioned, please advise, thank you!!
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
Good Lord! I think I just figured out why I'm going broke not selling any of my best items. It appears this SEO software has my site screwed up. When I click on "Sport Bike Stands" it just reloads the home page. I've tried and tried with both IE and FF to reset the cache in the SEO Manager but it won't let me do it. I just continually won't load the next page. Does anyone know how to fix this mess? Please help; I make my living on this website or at least I try.

Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
Update: So, I realized through copying and pasting the link locations that the pages are actually still there and it's only the link that was not working correctly. To combat this since I cannot empty the alias cache I slightly renamed those two folder names and now the links work properly again. Problem solved....for now. I tried emptying the alias cache on two zencart sites I did for friends and low and behold it won't let me do it to their sites either. I even tried this with my iPhone to make sure it wasn't a problem with my pc. I even restarted my pc. Still doesn't work. Do we have a fix for this?

You could go to your host sever control panel open file manger and delete them from there. I have to do this sometimes.

That sounds all well and good but don't you agree that we need something implemented so that we don't have to discover our websites not working properly and then fix it. Surely someone knows how to cut this problem off at the source?

Yellow has improve the clearing of the cache function in admin right much. It still has some problems but over all it still does OK most of the time. I found out it depends on what host and what kind of server you are on. Some host will work better than others when clearing the cache. I clear my cache everyday to keep it building up so many. By doing this my sites operates pretty much like I want it to.
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
I fixed the two previous problem, but I dont have a clue, my site runs on traditional chinese and simplified chinese, is there anything i need to change in the includes/classes/ssu/plugins/languages/ and the folders to aimplified chinese and TC??
furthermore, i am already running on a utf-8 site~~
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
How do you tell what version of SSU you are running. I notice the latest version on the website seems to be 3.7.1 wanted to know if I was up to date.
I checked the original zip I downloaded and there didn't seem to be any mention of a version number. Is it hidden somewhere?
