Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
I want to remove the /category-c-1_2/ portion from the url, and I am having a tough time locating how SSU builds the URLs.
apj_apj, did you run across the URL build function when looking at the files for http/https?
With USU, I didn't have to worry, IIRC (or maybe it was an easy hack). The advantages are that any product in more than one category shows up on all other pages using the same URL and it is so much cleaner.

If you have not already, make sure you have Set Link Alias Status to true in admin/configuration/seo and Set Auto Alias Status to true. Clear your cache and that should take care of the c-1_2/ portion from the url.

Okay, good to know. However, I take it from your wording that these steps will not remove category keywords. Is that correct?

I'm giving you example of what it looks for mine.

Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
Hi guys,
i followed instructions and now all my (nicley re-written) links direct users to the root.
Using IIS6 and isapi rewrite 3. .htaccess is working but every link now redirects to the homepage. Please see attachement for ssu check results.

any help will be appreciated!
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
I'm having a problem with EZ Pages when I try to save the page I created I receive a page not found error!
Also If I access the internal link directly it works fine but when the URL has zenid= ... added to it, the error appears again!
Page Not Found
Page Not Found
The page you are trying to access has been moved or it is deleted ...
but if everything from zenid= is removed it works again ...
may be a configuration parameter I am missing?

Go to admin/extras/Simple SEO URL manger/Alias Functions Manage Aliases and set it like you want it to look.
Re: Simple SEO URL [support thread]
Some of my URLS are now displaying the weird c_xxx in the URLS after wiping out my cache last night:
http://www.kids-n-cribs.com/bob-stro...uallie-c-85_87
Before, the URL was like this:
http://www.kids-n-cribs.com/bob-stro...lution-duallie
Similarly, one like this:
http://www.kids-n-cribs.com/bob-stro...-duallie-p-386
Used to be:
http://www.kids-n-cribs.com/bob-stro...lution-duallie
Any ideas why clearing the cache would have changed these?
Thanks!
