I looked at post #110 (As did 132)

It referred to a file main_template_vars_attributes.php
in /public_html/includes/modules/pages/product_info

The thing is. I looked into my directory and did not see that file.
Which gets me a little worried. I am thinking I have a different version of this mod.
But seemed to be working fine (Without the modifications I need.)

But I also looked at the new file in the download section and the file was not in that one either.

Grayson's method was constructed for Zen Cart 1.2. The file structure changed for 1.3, but if you keep following the thread, that's explained. Sorry, I can't be more specific. I've never implemented this change myself.

Still looking for the solution.

If there is anyone who figured it out, please let us know. There are
alot of people interested in this tread. Just look at all the posts asking for the help.
It seems like the obvious step for this mod.

I will put up a perfect how to if I figure it out first.

I was googling around and saw this post on a forum. Now I am not a programer, So I thought perhaps someone can get a clue how to put the qty next to the attribute names from this post here:

Now they put " ** " next to products that might be low in stock.

The files in the download modify files that are in the current install of zen,
however I think if I edit these files would interfere with this mod. If I had it say at least " Sold Out " Next to the attribute name that would work too.

My other thought is, If QTY was 0, Would there be a way for the attribute not to show up at all???

I've been searching through the forums to find the answer to the following question and haven't figured it out. If there is an answer in a previous post, feel free to redirect me.

I have downloaded Kuroi's Stock by Attributes mod v4.6 to my Zen Cart version 1.3.7.1.

I sell clothing mainly, and each product's attributes include both the size and color of the piece of clothing. I was able to stock a particular product's attributes, so that say, Red, XS has 2 in stock; Red, S has 5 in stock; Red M has 5 in stock, and Red L has 2 in stock.

The cart is allowing me to put up to 14 Red, XS into my shopping cart--as in the total number of the product in stock. A warning comes up if I try to put 15 into my cart. But in reality, a warning should come up if I try to put 3 Red, XS in my cart.

I have my Stock settings set so that customers are unable to checkout if the products they attempt to put in their cart exceed the amount of products in stock (hence the warning at 15 items and no warning at 14 items).

What am I missing? How do I make sure the cart recongnizes the stock for each individual attribute?

The info in the wiki said to make the changes to the includes/modules/attributes.php file instead of includes/modules/pages/product_info/main_template_vars_attributes.php

Ok, never mind. We found the solution in the Wiki! Everything works!

Your right, I did a text search but couldnt find a matching string.
But found the locations. Made the changes...
But Zilch. Not working. Like nothing changed.

Does anyone have this working for 1.3.8?
Not sure what to look at next.

I made the changes that I posted about starting with message #407 so that the available quantity for the attributes show. The problem I'm having is things get wacky if I add a different attribute. For example, one attribute is color, and another attribute is type of back--a pin (for a pin-back button) or a magnet. Nothing shows up in the newest attribute--it it's a pull-down menu, there is only enough room for 2 letters, but it's blank.

It works fine if I undo the modification to show the quantity. BUT, I have the same problem as yellow1912 in post #374

even if I add stock quantity for each attribute, I get an error that there isn't enough stock.

When I do this with the mod to show quantity, it mixes both attributes together. I am wanting to have an option where quantity isn't an issue (with the type of back), but with the 2nd attribute (color) for the same product, it is.

Anyone have the same issues? What did you do?
