You should.
Batch watermarking will not preserve your base image, it will be an irreversible change.
Just customize a nice transparent .png and with IH you can toggle on and off at will, change the image, etc., no changes are made to the base image.

Actually it does because the watermarked images are watermarked copies of the originals.. But I'll play around with IH2's watermarking again and see if I get a better result..
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
If your watermark contains text (like a web U*R*L) and you make it a dark color, give the letters a faint outer glow of a light color. With this, your watermark will be readable over images that have both light and dark areas.

Server timeout when processing a large image for IH will create a corrupt image.
Using ' " in the image description (Jon's Razor) can cause the page to break.
Using spacing in the file name also know to cause problem.
It's not a large image.. It was working before.. As a matter of fact, the problem seems to come and go.. The original file name, of the problem item now was: Pacific_5346e_sm.jpg
But doesn't IH2 rename everything? How can I determine what the IH2 names are?
Thanks
David
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Does anyone have an idea as to why the test images have the full url, yet my admin previews of my product images do not?
Here is another example using firebug which shows the incomplete path.

You stubborn lady.
You don't need to make copies if you use IH2 for that.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: Alright.. I'm going to take you and kiddo's word for this, and accept that it is something I've setup incorrectly.. I will be back to the test store to get this all hammered out..:smile:
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Hi all!
Got a problem with zen cart 1.3.8a and image handler 2.0 rev7. I don't know why but there is no "/" in images path. So I get something like this:
src="bmz_cache992b24f702b35a5f51eb48bb664226f88.image.76x80.jpg"
instead of
src="bmz_cache/9/92b24f702b35a5f51eb48bb664226f88.image.76x80.jpg"
Image handler downloaded today from link : image_handler__for_vx_Ver2-0rev7.zip
Page address: http://www.forast.pl/
Any sollution?
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I seem to be experiencing the issue described here. When I go to choose a cat or sub cat from the Manager page it goes back to the Admin page.
What can I do to fix this? Thank you in advance for all help.
