Thanks.
The person had a problem and I posted some options for him to consider. He seemed to be fine after that and that was that.
Why do you have a problem with that?
There is no call for such rudeness. You should be ashamed of yourself particularly given your role elsewhere and you are doing that endeavour quite a bit of harm with your poor behaviour here.
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
at first I thought maybe the main image was a .jpg with the additional ones either a .png or .gif ---I found that if you start with a gif the additional ones need to be a gif too.
but they seem to be .jpgs too which leads me to think maybe the size restrictions you added are possibly too large for the space you have.
play with the percentage and instead of 60% try 33% or something like that just to check out the theory
or remove your restrictions to see if it behaves properly and try to do the sdjustment in store admin/configuration/images for both the regular image sizes and the ih2 section.

Salam aleykum.
Where is the rudeness?
I gave the person a correct answer: there is no way a process can hijack the ownership once it is chowned (that was his original question), and told him that this is unrelated to IH2.
There is no problem with helping him with server configuration, this is just not the right place, if I were a moderator here I would have just moved the post to the right spot, leaving behind a shadow topic.
You have to understand that I am very well aware of roles, my role here is (or was) to help people with IH2, but not to the extent where their questions are unrelated or have already been answered.
My role elsewhere is clearly delineated in certain common sense rules that I just enforce, without letting any personal bias or animosity interfere.
I don't see how one can affect the other.
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
No one ever answered my question. :( I'll try again. If you go to www.midsouthcoin.com/midsouthcoin store and click on say small cents category on the left...then click of one of the items, and then click on the large image.....the background gets messed if if you scroll down. Can some look and give me advice on the...click on the large image and scroll up and down on the page with your mouse wheel? Thanks.

did it behave immediately after you did IH2?
sorry with the drama going on I did not see your post...hope it will stop.
did you install slimbox first then IH2 or the other way around. Did they behave right when you installed them?
what theme are you using -- sometimes it may have to do with it. if slimbox overwrote one of the files.
I use lightbox not slimbox and so far mine is behaving with both ih2 and lightbox installed.

Though this is covered in the readme, I want to make sure it's clear for others reading this thread.. It's not just GIFs.. You cannot have mixed file types at all for your product images.ALL of your product images must be the same file type.. If your main product image is a JPG then the additional images must be JPGs too.. If the main image is a PNG, then the additional images must be PNGs.. IH2 will not error out or stop you from uploading mixed file types. The additional images will simply just not display..
