I have a rather demanding client who wants to see all of the users and all of the clicks via this lovely mod.
So, instead of clicking 'view session' for each session, could it be changed easily to show 'all sessions' somehow?
That would be great.

Does anyone know if this mod is still being maintained? All was working fine until the latest security update was made.
I’m having the same problem as stated in post #384. I tried that fix, but then got another error, and no response from the poster. If anyone else has had this problem and fixed it, please post the entire file changes or pm them to me. When I click user tracking in my admin, here is what I see:

I recently changed host from 123 Reg to Blue host - (which speeded up my website 3-5 times faster) - I had noticed people where bouncing off at 000 seconds because of the unstable and slow loading times.
This problem has been solved - they are not bouncing off anymore.
My new problem is: "Page Not Found /favicon.ico"
Upon switching servers the tool isnt tracking the pages correctly. Its not finding them......
Does any one know what the problem is? I am using latest Zen Cart version...
I have the latest version of User tracking mod installed and everything works fine. However every day there will be a session which will click through my website and user tracking mod will also track this session and display all the pages it went through. I believe this maybe a search engine robot crawling activity. Is there any way in user tracking mod that I can turn off to track search engine crawling?

What version of zen cart do you have?
I also installed it over 1.3.8a and nothing is showing, I made sure that all the troubleshootings steps in the read me file were followed but nothing is showing?
Is user_tracking_for_zen 1.3.6.2 compatible with Zen cart V1.3.8a? Thanks.

I was just poking around the UT code a bit and noticed that the user tracking function file is checking to see if there's a customer id (in other words its checking to see if the person is logged in or not) and then querying the database for the customers first name and last name every single time a new page loads up for that person.
So if the person is logged in we don't have to query the DB, their first and last name are already in the $_SESSION.
As long as your user tracking code snippet isn't one of the first things to be loaded, to help improve your load time you may try the following.

I upgraded my site yesterday. Everything was running smoothly. I went to check on a product I added early this afternoon (admin working fine) and I got a blank page.
I installed the debugging and got this error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function zen_update_user_tracking() in /includes/templates/custom/common/tpl_footer.php on line 67
I went in an retyped the text into the tpl_footer as directed by the install directions but the error keeps showing. The whole site is non accessable except the admin side. I went in and "dropped" the user tracking table but that didn't work either.
Anything I can do besides re-upgrade the site?
just wanted to note my line 67 is :

Got it figured out. I "uninstalled" the mod by removing all the files and dropping the table. Then I ran the debugger again and found a weird t-spring error in english.php so I replaced that with my backup version and now site is up.
Hi all, been using this mod for a while now and have to say its great :) only minor problem ive got with it is that it seems to constantly get the users originating country wrong. Is this a known issue and is there any fix for it?

Hi, i am using 1.39h, with User Traking off course :clap:
When i open User Tracking, by default it opens me the first user that whas recorded without a session_id.
In my case web crawlers as google, yahoo....
This may be only particular to me as i have in config-> Sessions :
Prevent Spider Sessions
Prevent known spiders from starting a session = True
And they have a lot off hits in one day > 5000
it is a headake to scroll to the real users sessions throh so many hits
the solution is that in admin/user_tracking.php around the end there is the line that shows the clicks off a certain user, for me this line returns true by default in the case off spiders as they dont have session IDs.

I just installed and I'm not getting everything under the admin (configuration) user tracking config. Pictures to show what I have. Also, I had an error message when I installed the sql pictures as well. Any help will be kindly appreciated. thanks in advance!

2nd. The only fields showing on the admin are: Title/Value &Action. I thought it would be more (perhaps I'm wrong)
We're running ZC 1.3.9H with user tracking with no problems. Cart contents don't show but am working on that. will post back if and when I have an answer.
Some of these issues you guys are having sound like there is likely a conflict with one or more mods you have installed.
You should carefully read through each mods readme to see which core files may need to be merged with other core files you may have overridden previously.

No if you have not added the admin tables inside your SQL simply download the version for your ZenCart version upload and overwrite the files.Quote:

You do not have to run a full backup to remove the tables you inserted simply run the SQL Query below from the store admin located under the "Install SQL Patches" under tools menuQuote:

Just out of curiosity which SQL file did you use when you installed the mod?
new_install_user_tracking.sql or UPDATE_user_tracking.sql. After looking at a test store using 1.3.xxx and the install schema file there is no admin_pages table in the database in these versions so it seems you may have not installed the admin_pages alteration into the database at all, which in your error it says the tables does not exists.. Which would be what you want since your not using V1.5.0 which is only beta and not recommended for use anyway on a live site.
Either/Or the New Install and The Update SQL sheet inside Module folder for version 1.5.0 does not create admin_pages table for you (Only Updates) so I would be 99.8% certain the table does not exists hence there is nothing to worry about as far as the admin_pages insertion goes.

Not sure what you mean... when I re-run the SQL I get the error above. Looking at my DB I see there is no "admin_pages"
The only table I see relating to this module is "user_tracking"
If I go to the Config > User Tracking... The page is blank (has the top banner Title Value Action, but nothing else on the page.
Under Tools, it is not listed at all.
I have tried running the SQL both from Zen and PHP MyAdmin and still get this:

First thing is your trying to install UT 1.5.0 Version.. You want to download the Version for 1.3.7 not 1.5.0.
The version you need can be found right under the 1.5.0 version here <--click this link -- then run the SQL file included with those files. Leave and forget about 1.5.0 for now it will not work for you.
Download the Version I linked above upload all files run the SQL file.. Make necessary file changes as the readme in the 1.3.7 Version states. See what happens then.
Ok... Done that and its still not working ALTHOUGH slight progress lol.
I have triple checked every file and dir. everything is where it should be. Before, User Tracker Config AND User Tracker in Tools were both blank.
Now I have a User Tracker Config menu option under both "Config" and "Tools" - Both are still blank. (has the title but no options)

Okay lets take one step at a time so we both know we are on the same page. I have numbered the steps below so you can follow along easily.
1. If you are using a custom named admin directory and then yes you did this correctly. Simply upload the contents of admin in the module folder to your actual admin_directory you have on your FTP.
2. Run the following SQL command from inside your ZenCart Admin tools --> Install SQL Patches"
3. Login into your phpMYadmin or host account database management panel search for "User Tracking" (without the quotes) insure yourself that the actual configuration ID table was removed. If the results come back something like below (May Not Be Exact) but should be similar then you know it was removed.Code:DROP TABLE IF EXISTS user_tracking;
DELETE FROM configuration_group where configuration_group_id = '999';
4. Now Run the attached zipped SQL file for the older version of User Tracking. Once inserted check all places to see if the data was entered without blank pages.Code:MySQL returned an empty result set (i.e. zero rows). ( Query took 0.0005 sec )
(Note: Upload using direct upload from the admin --> tools --> Install SQL Patches upload feature instead of pasting the code in to the empty text box)
Post back here the results...
On another note be sure you back up all SQL (Download a Full Copy) before inserting or removing tables.. It is just good practice to do so..

I just installed User Tracking (1.3.7 version) on a fresh install of 1.3.9h and am having problems with the Shopping Cart being displayed.
If I go to Who's Online, I can see all active sessions each with their own individual carts showing. But when I go into User Tracking, every session has the identical cart showing - the cart associated with the most recent session.
Has anyone else seen this?

Hello, I have a fresh install on 1.39h using the User Tracking v.1.3.6.2 for ZEN1.3.7 mod for user tracking. I hope this is the right thread for questions...
user tracking comes up in my configuration menu, but not under the tools menu. Anybody have this problem, or am I looking in the wrong place? I have looked at over 100 posts, hope I am not repeating a solved problem.
My FTP program told me it uploaded the pages, but it did not, so that is the reason why it did not work. Had to go into webshell to figure that out, sorry that I could not find a delete or edit function on the forum for my previous post. Mike
In user Tracking Config I've entered the IP address of Google in the "Exclude this IP" heading.
Am I restricted to one IP address, I'm getting visited all the time by crawl.yahoo.net and would also like to exclude this IP address.
It's a toss-up which of these visits the most, but I'd like to not track them both.
Is both possible, or am I restricted to one.

I installed this on a fresh version of 1.50, followed the directions as written, however when I click on User Tracking I am getting a white page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have also the latest version of User Tracking, and ZC 1.5.0.
Everything was working fine until the host upgraded to PHP 5.3 - then I got the HTTP 500 error when accessing "User tracking" from the admin page (both "User tracking Config" and the logging itselves are working, as I can access the data directly from the database).

Finally I've found the solution to my problems with the HTTP 500 error. Just add If-conditions to two of the functions in the geoip.inc file, located in <admin>\includes\

I am having issues with this mod, I've installed the latest version on a v1.5.0 store. I followed the instructions the only bit I skipped was the code to track admin pages. I had a syntax error when I tried to install the sql in phpmyadmin, I change TYPE=MYISAM to ENGINE=MYISAM and everything seems to have been added correctly. I've uploaded the files to my server (except the readme folder and the sql folder). When I goto the admin of my store goto configuation, there is no user tracking config listed, however it is listed in tools along with user tracking so thats fine. When I click on user tracking or user tracking config I get a HTTP 500 error and can go no further.
I tried the modification to the geoip.inc file as recommended a few posts ago but no change.
I have had this mod working on a previous store and have found it to be a very valuable tool so I would really like to get it working on my new store.
Any ideas what has gone wrong and how I can fix it?

Did you try to run this on a test store before testing on your LIVE store. Which is highly recommended before proceeding to ensure your server and/or add-on would cooperate with this one if the other add-on require the same files for use of IP tracking?
Thanks for the quick reply, i'm not at my computer at the moment so testing is a bit limited but i can tell you:
1. I did rename the admin folder to my_admin (not the actual name) and uploaded the files.
2. I ran the sql file in phpmyadmin, not on the zen admin. I did this by copy and pasting the sql statements but had to change TYPE=MYISAM to ENGINE=MYISAM.
3. I inserted the tracking code into the footer file and uploaded it. The tracking works as if i go into my datase directly the records are adding to the user tracking table.
4. Going to admin -->tools -->user tracking returns HTTP 500 error so i assume it must be an issue with the uploaded files? When i get back to my computer i will delere the files and upload them all again.
5. I am installing on a live store which has other mods installed, these mods are
Image handler 4
User currency
Andover modern template
Bestsellers with image
Thats all i can think of off the top of my head
With the 500 Error this does not mean the files are missing but permissions are not granted to access them on that server. Examples: Missing, Corrupted. this is an internal error of the web application or server configuration.Quote:

maybe contact your host support and see if they can assist you viewing the logs causing the problem. Most likely php related but without seeing it that is a wild guess.

I got it working the problem was in the admin/user_tracking.php and admin/user_tracking_config.php files some of the links had ../admin/ at the start and because I have renamed my admin folder it wasn't finding the right files so I removed all instances of ../admin/ and it works.
I have this mod working but I have noticed that when someone adds items to their shopping cart it doesn't show in the user shopping cart column on the user tracking mod. Is this something that is not supported in v1.5.0 because it worked on previous versions?
I have the same "problem". Previously all session was stored as plain text in the session table, but with Suhosin (my guess), all sessions values are now encrypted - thus making it unreadable in user tracking.Quote:

Hello everyone I think I got the problem fixed.
Firstly I checked the MYSQL version on my hosting server and that is 5.5.27-cll. looks like newer than all versions I tested before.
Please NOTE: The given SQL patch can work free of probelms in all of those old MYSQL version so I make one change to the SQL patch.
I located the "TYPE=MyISAM"
and switch it to "ENGINE=MyISAM"
Then the SQL patch can run without problem!
I am using 1.5.1. I was experiencing a blank page for User Tracking and for User Tracking Configuration. I was able to solve my problem. Maybe what I did will help others.
My ZC database has a prefix of "zen".
- I edited the SQL file to put "zen" in front of the databases referenced.
- I changed "TYPE=MyISAM" to "ENGINE=MyISAM".
- I noticed line "999" referenced another module I installed. The next open line available in my zen_configuration table was 1084 (again, 1084 was not being used.). I changed all reference to "999" in the SQL file to "1084".
- I also changed all reference to "999" in user_tracking.php and user_tracking_config.php to "1084" in the admin folder.
This is what worked for me. Please make a backup of your files and your database before you begin to "tinker" with it.

Thank you for the notice and update. We will rewrite for newer versions of MySQL for other users and upload it. For the particular accounts this was used on was for older versions. As you posted BACKUP is always an important factor for tinkering with a live database. Always use a test site or dev site with an actual live database installed on the dev site with any other modules you may or not have installed to insure everything works before transferring to a live site.Quote:

The plugin will track all data collected on a day to day basis. When you delete the data from the time your reviewing and click delete it will delete any data stored from the past 72 hours. Only data that would remain is from the past 24 hours of reviewing said data on screen.Quote:

If you want to collect the weeks worth or months worth of data it is not wise to delete any data from the past of 72 hours. Data is stored each day within the 24 hour period. You can click on SELECT VIEW: Back to DATE (Will Have Actual Date Shown) and it will show the previous day and so on.
Be advised data can take up serious space on your server, if you are on a hosting package with low disk space you may want to monitor the plugin to avoid over usage of disk space or performance decrease in your website. The plugin can also decrease in performance of your website depending on server specs. Always monitor the data to insure you keep the tables optimized and clean for best results with your days of information.

I am not able to duplicate the issue you reported. You did not enter your own ip to be excluded in the tracking_config, so there must be a file missing somewhere or your web host may not allow GEO Tracking, which is a very rare thing so I would count this out before I would anything. Just in case did you upload files using an FTP client? if so did you also try to upload the files using File manager of some sort through your cPanel? or Control Panel of some sort to see if it works then?
For extra precaution there is no MySQL errors inside either section of the tracker mod in the admin correct?
And no other tracking modules installed correct? Do you have a list of addons you have installed, if any?
Well, I just loaded all the files again through FTP and now it is working. I don't know if I missed one or if somehow the transfer messed up. I don't see any of the files listed in my failed to upload information, so I am not quite sure what I was missing. I just went and clicked on a few things and now I see it, so it must have been one of them got missed. I apologize for this . . and thank you for your help.Quote:
