Re: Categories Dressing
/includes/templates/template_default/images
You should not be using /template_default/ to save your custom template files in any case; they should be in /includes/templates/your_template_name/images/.
The Categories Dressing code looks in /your_template/images/ for the file, and does not look in /template_default/images/ ever. Move the files to the correct folder and it should work, as you appear to have done everything else right.

Re: Categories Dressing
hi
i moved images to classic template now i see the .gif image but the rollover effect is not working
i have an image with the right link to the categorie but no hover effect

Re: Categories Dressing
From the information you have given, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Can you give a link to see your site live? That often allows diagnosis when no amount of description will.

Re: Categories Dressing
Glen...........big thanks.......
Got it working now i left it a little while and went back to it. I simply had to transfer the files over manually because of the structure of the files.
Its working now, obviously i have not done much but i will have a play later.

Re: Categories Dressing
You might want to hold off on serious work on the categories box, as I am a day or two away from officially releasing a major upgrade to Categories Dressing which will make modifications considerably easier.
By all means play with it for a while now.

Re: Categories Dressing
Thanks for the info................i'll hold off as there's plenty other stuff to sort on this site for now.
As soon as i know of the update i'll install it, properly this time.:smile:

Re: Categories Dressing
Categories Dressing v2.5 has been submitted to Free Addons. Until it is activated, you can download it from this post.
This is a major update, with much of the logic separated out into function files, which will hopefully ease the way to adaptation to ZC v2.0. I have built in some features that have been requested repeatedly in the forum, principally the ability to make separate categories boxes (though they will still be lined up in one column) and the ability to hide top, sub or inactive categories (though this is not an "expanded categories" function).
Various function improvements;
Categories now structured as ul lists;
Multiple language support built in;
Category active/level control added;
User settings all moved to define file.
# You can group categories under desired headings, and style the groups as
separate boxes.
# You can use multiple languages just by adding a new set of images and
definitions.
# You can control which categories display, by active cat tree, or by level,
hiding top and/or subcats.
# All of these changes are controlled by modifying defines in one language
file; no user code changes are required in the template file.
Image file naming system unchanged, so images from previous mod versions
will work as-is.
I have tested this thoroughly on my local test site (in FF3 and IE6), but I would appreciate feedback from the field.

Re: Categories Dressing
While writing the above post, I thought of a way to enable ids for the individual category groups, so that they can be styled and moved independently of the rest of the sidebox.
This is now tested and integrated into the code, and will be released as v2.6, since the dev team's lightning-fast response has already approved v2.5. I have a bit of housekeeping to do with the file headers, and then I will post v2.6 here when I submit it.
