Re: Image Handler 2 Support
OK, dangit after I just spent about 20 minutes typing a post out I accidentally deleted it before I could actually post it to the site.
oavs, thanks so much for your help. I really, truly appreciate it very much. I have converted my site back to a backup that I had from earlier in the day right before I installed IH2 (I did do something right at least). So now I am back where I started from...I've read through the installation instructions and the docs on the IH2 website a couple of times now and I can't figure out where I am going wrong. I hate to ask such a dumb question, but maybe if someone else could walk me through it I will see that I am missing something...here goes: Under the following situation, how would you install IH2 on my website (which is shoptomlinsons.com if you didn't already know from my other posts)...
I've got about 1000 products on the site right now. Each product has only one image with that image being probably a medium to large size file. I know that I can speed up my site a little by using IH2, so I really want to use it. I was under the impression that by installing IH2, it would take the images that I already had on my site and automatically resize them to work with IH2. I might have been mistaken about that, or I might not have installed it correctly the first time (even after reading all the docs), but that did not happen on my site.
I would love to use IH2, but I simply don't have the time right now to go through and re-upload every single image again. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction? Thanks so much!

Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I upload all my images to the /images folder, and i have no problems. i just ftp them all up at once, ih2 finds them no problem.
i would be there all day if i uploaded each image....
I did at one point have the issue you are having, i fixed it by UNINSTALLING ih2 in the admin control and then reinstalling it. I have no idea why that worked, but it did. as i recall it took twice doing that.
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Hi there,
Check this out
My problem is that I would like the additional images to list horizontally, say 5 across. I have been trying to do this through css without success. Since my PHP is lacking, I was wondering if this might be a PHP thing that could be manipulated.
Cheers,

Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Did you set 'Product Info - Number of Additional Images per Row' to 5 under Configuration/Images? That should do the trick (if the colomn space allows for it).
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
OK, I've installed/uninstalled several times, but I'm still having an issue with the zooming. Some pics zoom and some don't, I don't get it  Can anyone help???
My URL is www.babyplanetboutique.com/new.
Thanks!

I finally got it to work, and yes thank you, I did get change it to 5.
Basically you have to change a couple of php files and some css to get it just right. The funny thing about this is I spent a good 5 hours and got it almost there, then I read this post
Even though on this post they are trying to get additional images to the side of the main image, it still contains great information, and will get you going in the right direction.
BTW, the Additional Images per Row didn't seem to work for me until I was at the very end and needed to move my 4th pic up in line.? I tried to do this first.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Hmm OK I thought i had re installed it.
I used the clear database and clear IH cache buttons, reloaded all the files and refreshed the admin panel, but It did not ask me to install IH2 again.....
does this mean it wasn't properly uninstalled (em still experiencing prblem I recently posted)?
how can I uninstall and check its uninstalled properly?
