Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Done another install of the latest version and installed the SQL patches etc.
It's creating the product feed fine but when it comes to uploading I get this:
Google Base Feeder v.1.5.3 28.08.2007 10:25 started 2007/10/23 11:10:55
Feed file - /home/httpd/vhosts/prideofthefleet.org.uk/httpdocs/feed/domain
Processing: Feed - No, Upload - Yes
Upload started...
Login failed:
Connected to: uploads.google.comWarning: ftp_login() [function.ftp-login]: Login incorrect.
Upload failed...
Is the address not uploads.google.com?
I use the same username and password at base.google.com and it logs in fine so not sure where to go from here?

That is your mistake. Read the readme.txt.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hi,
I'm in the UK and have been having problems with getting my items to show on google product search, they are in google base fine, but not showing when i do a search in google products. I found this information on a forum:
<-------
the problem is that you submitted to the wrong country. im assuming
that you want to submit your items to google base uk. there's this re-
direction issue that sends uk providers to the us.
so this is what you should do. delete your current files, and log in
to base.google.uk (not from the my accounts link, that'll send you
to .com). create new bulk uploads, using different filenames.
its weird, but submitting to google base us will get your items on
both uk and us properties, but wont work for product search.
--->
I was just wondering if i need to be careful when doing the bulk upload. I'm a bit confused since when I log into http://base.google.co.uk/ it shows the same settings as http://base.google.com. ftp account looks the same etc..
I'd be interested to hear other people opinions on this. I have seen a few other emails from people in the UK that seem to be having problems with this as well.
Thanks.

I must have missed something somewhere as I have over 1500 products that should be in the feed.
Any ideas?
MG
I still don't get any product in my file and can't find a solution can anyone help?

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Did you migrate your store from OSC? How do you add products? What restrictions have you put on in the configuration?
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
numinix
store is a fresh install or 1.3.7. Products added through catalogue/catagories, maually over the last year. Have had a google froogle feed which I have deleted files and config database settings for and now tried to install a fresh install with your google base mod.
No problems or erros with install but no products in xml file.

MG
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I just installed it, the configuration works, but tools > google base feeder in the admin seems to not exist.. anyone able to help me out?
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Ignore the last post, my mistake was so terribly stupid I would like it stricken from our timestream if it were possible.
