Just another Cross-Sell mod (support thread)

Hey all, I have gone through this thread and came across some of the same problems other have. In the 1 sql not being loaded, corrected that. In the process of testing products are being crossed referenced and displaying on the proper pages. During testing I go "Current Cross-Sells" I see the items listed and the actions associated with them "edit and delete" Edit works but when I go to test the delete it does not remove the products from the products_xsell table this is verified through my database phpMyadmin nor does it delete through "Clean up cross-sell"

Has anyone come across this or knows what I need to do to correct this?

Never mind - I went through and removed all tables and references in my database. Then went back and uploaded the SQL's (0, 1, 2) individually and now I have full functions.

Well ... I did solve the problem, seems as though the sql patch went in as ascii rather than binary. A switch solved the problem.

I've found this solution to a problem that I am having with the cross sell not advancing beyond page 1 in 1.3.8. Can someone tell me in words of one syllable how to switch the sql patch from ascii to binary? Sorry to be so ignorant :dontgetit

Ok, I'm horrible at CSS positioning. I just installed this module and it seems brilliant, however I have a bit of a problem with the positioning.

Hey everyone, I really like this module but I am having difficulty figuring out how to display the cross-sell products in a grid fashion. What is controlling this? Sorry if this topic has already come up. Thanks,

JW, if you look under configuration then cross sell. you set how many products to display in a row (mine is set to three) and the max number of products to display. So if you had a max of 6 products they would display in two rows of three. Is that what you meant?

That's peculiar, I seem to be missing that option from the Configuration menu. Did I miss uploading one of the files maybe?

I just realized I installed the wrong cross sell add-on. What will happen if I just install the new one (Just Another Cross Sell Mod). Will it screw anything up?

I've just reinstalled the module manager so that it now appears to be working which it wasn't before. I've also completely reinstalled all "Just another cross sell mod" files to see if that solves the problem, but it hasn't. I don't have the cross sell mod appearing on the configuration menu and the advanced cross sell admin page says "Product cross sell applies to "Product XSELL_FORM_INPUT_TYPE(s):".
I'm not sure if it's relevant but when I reinstalled the module manager and asked it to install new databases as it wasn't showing cross sell, it gave me a message saying something along the lines of database xxx_xxxx.configuration does not exist, which is true, the database has the prefix zen so it is xxx_xxxx.zen_configuration. But that message has since disappeared and now the module manager tells me that there are no modules to install and only lists ri-jaxs as a current module.
The only other thing that I can think might have affected it is that I've changed the name of the admin folder as advised for security reasons.
I'm afraid that I'm a real newbie on all of this stuff so any help would be very welcome as I'm getting pretty desperate.
