Re: Image Handler 2 Support
BlessIsaacola,
You're right, removing that code means that any additionel images are removed both on the product page and in Gallery View. So it didn't solve my problems.
Nevertheless, many thanks for your quick reply.
Cheers,
Kim

And I'm using IH2.
So I have an Example.jpg which I upload. The small thumbnail is loaded from a bmz_cache location with a watermark. The medium thumbnail also loads from a bmz_cache location with a watermark. The "larger image" that pops up from the product page is loading the original image from the /store/images/ directory, and it's not watermarked. If I can only get images to watermark from this directory, we would be GOLDEN!
Any more ideas? I appreciate your help!
Just for kicks what happens if you copy your watermark_LRG.png to root/images/ as well and then copy watermark.png to root/images/large/ as well.
Also, are you putting watermark to promote branding or to prevent people from stealing your images?
If it's to prevent people from stealing your images, you're simply wasting your time because with a Firefox plugin they can get to all your images that doesn't have watermark on it.
The Firefox plugin simply makes the process easy but can be done with any browser.
If watermarking for branding, that's a completely different story.

If I may ask, what are you trying to accomplish as that might help in figuring out a solution. Is this more of dealing with presentation so your page is cleaner or is there something else behind what you're trying to achieve?
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I went ahead and put the watermark.png in the images/large folder, and also put the watermark_LRG.png into the store/images folder. Still no watermark. Note that I haven't cleared any cache though, but didn't think that would make a difference since it's not loading this from the bmz_cache directory, but rather from the root images folder.
And I am using it for branding AND to deter image theft. It also helps spread the word about our site for those who may link to the image and see our name on it.

Stop the press! Hold your horses!
I did what I probably should have done from the beginning: I reinstalled. I didn't see why that would matter, since I never touched the installation for IH2, but since upgrading to a newer version of ZC, it probably would have been a good idea to do it for good measure. Now that I upgraded, things are working.
Thanks again for all your help!

Glad it's working for you now.

Which IH2 version are you running?? There have been two upgrades to IH2 for Zen Cart 1.3.9 compatibility.. (including support for PHP 5.3 and other important updates -- watermarking is still included and has never been removed from any release) There have been a few changes and improvements so I suggest reading the readme installation instructions before upgrading and follow the upgrade instructions...
I suggest upgrading to the latest version available in the downloads section..

In my case I want to add an additional image (i.e an additional image after the first default image has been added manually) of a generic gift box included with all products within said category/categories - it would save me a few hours work
Thanks.
I would try giving it a new name for each item you want to upload it to for instance...
giftbx.jpg then giftbx1.jpg
but if you are going to upload it eachtime with the new item via the IH control center then make sure it is the additional images not the main image you upload...product main image gets uploaded first then any of your next images since the software will rename it to that items main image name and append a number to it.
so if you have necklace.jpg as the main one the software will rename the next images you place thru the controls---or you can name them to upload directly to server as:
necklace_01.jpg with necklace_02.jpg as the next one showing and so forth for as many images you wish to show for that particular item.

The latest version also runs faster which is another reason to upgrade (this may not be an issue for some but we have 1,000s of products on our site).

Yes, I want to make my page cleaner and I don't want my customers to see the detail image before they have clicked on the main product image.
As you (hopefully) can see on my attachment, I have circled and arrowed the additionel image.

Kim
