Hi Steve,
I did check the CSV file and the master category was blank.
I populated the master category with the same data that's in the category, this generated no products in admin but if you go to the product description table in the database the products do show.
Do I just have a corrupt CSV file?
Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

So you have imported=created products with no master category? I didn't think the Apsona import allowed that.
Look at the database, products tables to check this.

What do you mean? You restored the database to the state prior to the import and then tried the import again?
Or you manually added the master category into the products table?

That's correct....that's how the first attempt was completed. The products showed in the admin categories/products list page but when you clicked on the edit icon for the product the oddness started.

I restored the database to the prior, copied the category titles to the master category in the csv file and then tried again.

Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
Try not using "Master Category" at all. Just build your category structure (At Home: Small Appliances: Cookware) and put that into Category column and it should work just fine.
Hope that helps.
-
Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
When importing, is Apsona mapping all the field names to the CVS column titles correctly?
Do all the categories pre-exist or are you creating them at the same time?
-
Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
I've *always* had to do the following after an import from Apsona to get round the "categories showing but product names blank" issue.
Before you do this: BACKUP THE DB! Also, we don't use any custom sort order on attributes etc so if this matters to you
TOOLS > STORE MANAGER (store_manager.php)
Click the following buttons in this order:
Update All Products' Attribute Sort Orders
Update ALL Products Price Sorter
Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID
and finally
Optimize Database
It might be co-incidence, but it also seems to speed up the store a fair bit by doing that.
Let me know if this works!

I don't have this import problem...resetting the master categories on my shop would be a self-destruct button!
I do Update ALL Products Price Sorter but thats just because I can't be bothered to include that column in the CSV.
Since this seems not be be an isolated issue, if you (plural) want to pm me and send a copy of your csv I'll see if I get the same issue.

Hi Gary,
I tried this but it didn't work for me....I still get the original issue. When I the view the admin Categories / Product list the product names are there, if I click the "Edit" icon to view the product details the product name is not there it appears blank. If you then click cancel the product name still shows in the Categories / Product list but if you click "Update" without changing a thing the product name disappears. I've checked the database table zen_products_description and the product names are there.
Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi Kelvin,
I'll give this a try.
After you upload do your product names show in the admin categories / product list but disappear when you click edit to view the product details?

Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
Hi Folks,
I just came across Apsona ShopAdmin after struggling with Easy Populate. I have a few questions about it if anybody would care to help enlighten me?
1. Are Apsona still alive and supporting this product?
I emailed them yesterday but have received no replies.
2. Can anyone explain their business model? How do they make money with free service and free support?
3. Can I import/alter product attributes with SA? (ie the tables: products_attributes, products_options_values and products_options)
I price all of my products via Catalog -> Attributes Controller.
4. Can anyone tell me how much of my shop data would be passed through Apsona's server? I see that they effectively control the service but, as my shop is confidential (sales, finances, and especially customer data), I would need to know what data gets sent where and what control I have over that.
Any answers to these questions, or any other info/opinions on the product would be welcome, thankyou.
Gavin

Yes, I think so...but they are always very busy with paying customers.

Custom work, I think.

Yes - although I don't use it for that.

None is sent to their servers. The code is downloaded from their site each time you start it up and that's it.
I've been using it for ages and if one day they start to charge, I'll still use it. It works.

Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
Hi,
I am using version 1.5.1, www.fossilandrock.co.uk. I have just added the Product Cost Display add on (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1444). It created a new table in my database and the site works fine. I have just tried to do an update with Apsona, changing Manufacturers and adding the cost. It hangs during updating, and I closed it. I then noticed in my site that the Manufacturers were updated, not the cost price.
Does this mean Apsona is not compatible with the module, what can I do to get it to work? When I download my products from the Apsona Panel from the Tools - Export option, it does show the option to select Cost to be included. Can someone help with this?

Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
Hi I have just installed apsona shop admin to my zencart 1.51 on a local host machine for testing. It does not appear to have created the table in the database and when I try to run it from the admin menu it just goes to a blank page with the header showing. Any help on this would be fantastic. I have installed on zencart 1.39h on same localhost machine and that one works ok.

Re: Odd admin glitch with newly uploaded products
Blank page means an error is occurring. Read the logs for the error, and fix the error: http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?124-blank-page

Firefox 23/Chrome blocks mixed content so Apsona does not load when Admin uses SSL
Firefox 23 blocks mixed content with no popup warning, just an easily-missed (by me anyway) icon in the address bar.
There is also no whitelist for this: on every page reload you have to manually permit it.
https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/2013/...in-firefox-23/
If your admin pages use ssl, when you use apsona this will attempt to load via https too which results in the apsona page not loading as the jquery and apsona code is blocked.
Solution, change the sources of the unencrypted content.
In apsona_config.php
change
$APSONA_BASE_URL = 'http://shopadmin-svc.apsona.com';
to
$APSONA_BASE_URL = 'https://service.apsona.com';
In apsona_index.php
change
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
to
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script>

Apsona not loading with php 5.5
For early adopters using php5.5 already, i.e. Xampp 1.83, mysql_connect is deprecated and the attendant error message triggering stops Apsona from loading:
Quote:
Deprecated: mysql_connect(): The
mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli
or PDO instead in D:\My Documents\....\apsona_functions.php on line
176
Despite putting @ in front of it (as in Zen Carts query_factory which also uses mysql_connect) to supress the error, I still could not get it to work despite trying to turn off all error reporting.
Apsona is aware of the issue.
-
Re: Apsona not loading with php 5.5
Same issue. I have updated to the new files recommened by Apsona and still a blank screen when trying to run this GREAT add-on. Good thing I am trying to migrate to the new version of ZenCart for all my sites and not having to run live, YET.

I would forget it for now and use php5.4/Xampp 1.82 for local development as your hosting won't be using 5.5 for a long time yet.

Re: Apsona not loading with php 5.5
I am trying to do a mass update using Apsona of a category > product in 1.5.1.
I want to change the below field from "y" to "n" for all my products:
Products Quantity Box Shows: o Yes, Show Quantity Box o No, Do not show Quantity Box
But when I go to Apsona and select "All Products" and look in the "Product Details" screen, this exact field is not available.
Any ideas?
-
Mass change of a product field
If you want to do them all:
Products->Tools->Update All and select your field.
If you want to choose which products, use a filter first or export to csv, change, import.
-
Re: Mass change of a product field
Yes understood torvista, but my problem is different - simply that I can't "select the field" because this particular field does not seem to appear in the choice of available fields..

Apsona...Spinning Circle
Hello Everyone,
I've been using Apsona since 2011 without issues until now, I'm now getting the spinning circle. The odd thing is we have a dev version on the same server in a sub folder which is essentially an exact clone(cloned two weeks ago) of the live site and Apsona works perfectly. I've reinstalled all of the Apsona files from scratch but still no luck! I'm really puzzled by this!!
Can you only have have one instance of Apsona running on a domain?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

thats the symptom I got when the javascript was being blocked by firefox, it may not be related to your issue but check post #525.
Look for an icon appearing in front of the address that tells you something is being blocked.

Thanks Torvista.
A Winmerge of my admin configure.php file turned up an inconsistency @ line 18 in the define('HTTP_SERVER', etc... once I matched this up with the working dev version it worked as it always has.

Re: Apsona...Spinning Circle
I have zen cart 1.5.1. I installed Apsona and it seemed to go ok but when I try to use it I get this error message "The server is not responding. Please check your network connection.
Status: error"
I have tried it in Firefox and Safari with the same result.
I have Apsona installed on another site running ZC 1.3.9 which works with no problem. Any ideas?

Help! Apsona and Zencart not corresponding
I have been using Apsona ShopAdmin for 3 years and have not had any problems until now.
When I try to import new products into a new category, they do not show up in zencart. They appear in Apsona, and everything looks right about them, but they are nowhere to be found in zencart.
However, If I import that product into an existing category it will appear.
Also, Apsona DID create the new categories.
I did not change any preferences or do any updates. This is just out of the blue.
Did anyone else have this problem or can anyone help me out?
Thanks

Yeah, we started getting this too. Here's what we do - first of all, of course, BACKUP your database!
Then, go to "Store Manager" and then...
* Update All Products' Attribute Sort Orders
* Update ALL Products Price Sorter
* Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID
This never seemed to affect anything about out store other than making the products appear and speeding things up a bit.
Just check that it hasn't messed up any sort orders you might have set.
and then, just for good measure if you've not done it lately:
* Optimize Database to remove wasted space from deleted records.
* Cleanup Debug Log Files
Let us know if that worked!

Ok, I found the box indicated above in Torvista's post but it turned out not to be what I was looking for after all. I was looking for a place where you could add product fields that weren't included with ZenCart install. I have a couple of datafeeds that need different fields than what is showing as options.
Anyone have any ideas if this is possible or not?
Thanks,
Jim

I did the first 2 steps but I am unsure of "Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID".
What exactly does this do?
I have a lot of products and they are all linked to multiple categories.
Will this cause any problems?
Thanks!

ShopAdmin can only update a portion of my prices
I have about 10,600 SKUs on the site. I calculate the prices based on the current cost of gold and silver. The prices are calculated in an elaborate Excel spreadsheet. I save the file as a csv file for uploading. The file consists of the model # and the current price. The file also contains the current date and 2 more bits of data that are not uploaded. In the past I have been able to update all of the prices in one pass.
After extensive testing, I have determined that I can only upload 2500 SKUs at a time. This means that I have to upload 5 files, but at least it works.
When I exceed the 2500 limit, the upload process will pause partway through. Sometimes for as much as a minute. It always does restart at some point. In those situations, when I check a price on my website, I search for the model and I receive the following error:
"The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading"
I then have to shut down my browser. Sometimes I have to wait before my website will relaunch. When I finally get to my site, the last price in the file was not uploaded. I have not checked to see of some are uploaded and some not, as that would be very tedious.
Does anyone have any ideas of where I can go from here.

Check your php errors and hosting error and access logs (server, mysql) to look for some clue about what is timing out.

I had this problem when my store was hosted on Hostgator. There timeout is set to 30 sec. and they won't change it. In cpanel you should be able to check your server settings, or ask support what is the server timeout set to.

Re: ShopAdmin can only update a portion of my prices
Ok, quick and probably an easy question but before I do it and mess things up...with my luck, I thought I'd ask to be sure. I have my products uploaded ok, when I need to update the inventory count, just what fields do I need have in the csv file that I upload other than the 'Quantity in Stock' field?
Thanks,
Jim

Re: ShopAdmin can only update a portion of my prices
Still having some issues trying to get descriptions to show up. I went into my admin/configurations and set the maximum number of characters to 400 which should cover almost everytihng.
When I download my .csv file from my supplier, the description column is good, I deleted the columns they had on there that I didn't need and copied it into Apsona to upload it. I'm still getting shorten descriptions, is there a setting within Apsona that might be cutting them off?
-
Re: ShopAdmin can only update a portion of my prices
Think I've got the cutoff descriptions figured out, I hope.
Now I've got a problem with Apsona. When I go in and export a file with only the name, model number, quatity in stock, and the description, I save it to the desktop. Then I open it with excel (have tried several ways of opening it) and when it opens, all that is in the description column are # signs and each line appears to have the same number of # signs in it. I click on any of the description cells and they look up in the formula bar where the contents would normally show up, nothing but # signs in there either.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
Thanks for any help,
Jim

Well, I had to do a restore on my database but I got rid of the # symbols in the description column when downloading using Apsona, now that has been corrected. Now to go back and try again to upload full descriptions and hope they work this time and try to get rid of whatever is keeping Google Merchant feed from hanging up. This is getting frustrating but hopefully I'll eventually get it figured out.

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
Is this a problem with Apsona, possibly a bad install?
I have a clean csv file (checked it line by line), I used Apsona and copied/pasted it into Apsona, checked to update database and uploaded it.
When I check some products, the description showing on the site for several also include numerous other item numbers and their descriptions all in one. The extra item numbers if brought up on their own, do not have a description showing.
I went back to my clean csv that I copied from and those item numbers are showing a correct description. I'm thinking there is a problem or glitch in the way Apsona is uploading them. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone think it could be a bad Apsona install maybe?
Any help is appreciated, I've written to Apsona but haven't heard back yet so thought I'd also check on here.
Thanks

UPDATE:
Think I found the problem or at least it seems to have fixed it for now. I have in the past always saved my spreadsheet to a csv(ms-dos) format to upload to Apsona and it's been good to go. This time for some reason it messed up random description columns so I was reading up on Easy Populate and found a post about having to save it to another format recognized by EP so I thought, what the heck, it's not working the way it is so I saved it first to a text(ms-dos) and that didn't work so I tried text(tab delimited) and it took it. I haven't checked very many items yet but did check the few I had written down as being messed up and they were all in order after this one.
Can anyone familiar with Apsona confirm this was most probably my problem or not so I'll rest tonight? LOL
Thanks
Jim

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
Since I work with a spanish site and accented characters, I long gave up on the vagaries of excel and only use Libreoffice, as you can tell it what encoding to use when both opening and saving your csv.
I have no problems with Apsona but am only importing about 3k products at most.
Maybe you should try Libreoffice to see if there is something in your text/Excel it doesn't like.
-
Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
Thanks, I'll take a look at it, I guess in the past I just never noticed the descriptions were cut short, either that or what I was loading for the customer didn't have long descriptions.
Thanks

I am still struggling with Apsona not updating all of my prices. have contacted GoDaddy, and they showed me how to extend the upload time to well beyond what I need. I have also expanded the file size max upload to well beyond what I need, and there is still no change.
Now I am getting an additional error: Something about the script stopping "Script: http://shopadmin-svc.apsona.com/ec/zencart/apsona-ec.1103152126.min.js:12"
What does this mean?

I hate to throw out the obvious, but are your columns wide enough to display the titles? When word wray is off and there is too much text to display, excel will replace it with ##s

Yep, already checked that, it turned out to be the format I was saving it in an reopening it, think I've got it figured out...at least for this supplier. Fixing to start on my other supplier's datafile and see how it goes.

Not sure on this, I'm guessing you've already set the permissions on each of the Apsona files. I don't know if a wrong permission would cause it or not. I usually carry around 3000 items and haven't run into a problem updating prices or stock levels. Sorry couldn't be of any help.

Is anyone other than me using this with 10k+ SKUs? Maybe I just hit Apsona's max number.

I've sent an email but haven't gotten any response from it either. Is anyone else having this kind of issue. I upload a clean csv file (checked, double checked, and triple checked) but the description for a few items is combined with several others to make one very long description. I have several items that now show up with these faulty descriptions. Also, when I download a copy of the store's database (product.csv), there are several items that are no longer lined up under the correct column heading, it's like each cell entry was moved over one column and not all items have a product id assigned to them.
I'm pretty sure this is a problem within Apsona and it's what is causing my problems with trying to get a good Google Merchant Feed file download.
If there is anyone from Apsona still on here, can you please let me know something? I've used Apsona for several years without any problems but this is really causing problems.
Thanks, if anyone else has any ideas I'm open......

Thanks

If you can write a filter to select those products, go to Products, top center select the drop down for Filters and select "new filter". A new dialogue box will appear that allows you to define the filter. For any characteristic you use, you can create the filter. Once you select that filter, select the "Search" button at the bottom of the dialogue box, the items that would be selected appear on the left. BE CERTAIN THAT THESE ARE THE ITEMS THAT YOU WANT TO DELETE. Then, under tools, select "Delete all". This cannot be undone, so you may want to back up your database first, or test it out on only 1 of the products or something similar!

That did it, thanks.

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
Is Apsona support still in this thread?
I tried to contact them because I want to use the software in my testing site, and as it's been too long I forgot my user and password with them, I went to their website and placed a support ticket to no avail. They never replied.

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
Hoping someone can point me to the post or posts that will tell me how to mass delete products using Apsona. I'm pretty sure it's in here as I've used it before but I can't seem to find it now. I put a prefix on all the products from this one supplier that I need to delete and I've created a filter for everything with that prefix but when I click on Delete, the box tells me to choose an item from the list. Im pretty sure there is a way to mass delete these items.
Thanks

Yes, it worked great, I knew I had done this before but couldn't find the post with the instructions but I finally found it. I hadn't had to do it since asking before. Worked like a charm, thanks.

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
I just installed Zen Cart 1.5.3. I also signed up with Apsona and installed ShopAdmin starting with the files that they had me download after signing up and then I installed the update for Zen Cart 1.5. When I try to open ShopAdmin, I get a blank page with only the ShopAdmin Logo, banner, my name, account link, and feedback link.
The questions I have are:
Does Apsona for Zen Cart 1.5 work with Zen Cart 1.5.3?
If not is there another program that I can use to do bulk product imports and updates that also supports custom product fields? I have 9,000+ products to upload to my store and there are 13 custom product information for each record.
Will the most current version of Easy Populate do what I need? Or is there another module?

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
Anyone having an issue that when the new window opens for apsona the circle loading icon just continues to spin and does not load? Have tried with both IE and Chrome.

Re: Apsona ShopAdmin install does not work
"the circle loading icon just continues to spin and does not load"
- that's the symptom for the issue described in post #525.

Apsona mysqli
Has anyone modified the Apsona database access to use mysqli?
I am finding it not working locally on the later Xampps due to this.
-
Re: Apsona mysqli
I learned that that's the main problem with Asona ShopAdmin at least with Zen Cart 1.5.3. I was told that 1.5.3 now uses MySQLi and Apsona was coded in MySQL. After calling Apsona and sending them an email and not getting a return call or email, I decided to look for another solution. I decided to install Easy Populate 4.0 (EP 4.0). I am not techie. But I got it to install. Yesterday I uploaded 1,697 product records to Zen Cart. The upload was 100% free of errors and took 16 seconds. From reading Apsona's Blog, it is apparent (I am tempted to use the word evident) that their work with SalesForce related solutions and other consulting work has left them with virtually no time to support or re-code ShopAdmin for MySQLi.
It would however be helpful if they would clearly and definitively state whether or not they plan to re-code it or allow someone else to do so.

It's open-source.. So unless there's some dependence on some external resource, anyone who has the time and willingness could re-code this..

Re: Apsona mysqli
My hosting is php 5.4.28 and Apsona works fine.
Locally Xampp is on 183-4 (php 5.5.11) which doesn't work: I have to use 182 (php 5.4.27) when I need Apsona.
The "re-coding" is fixing a few functions in apsona_functions.php.
I spent about 10 minutes on it about a year ago without success (early adopter that I used to be...) so I was just wondering if someone had fixed it yet so I can bin the older Xampp install.

Re: Apsona mysqli

I am interested in knowing the same thing as well.

Re: Apsona mysqli
Hi.Diva,
I have a little time but no technical skills. Let me know if some capable person does the re-coding.
BTW are you the current developer of TPP?

Updating using Chrome
Just a FYI that there is a problem using Chrome as the browser with Apsona.
Scenario:
1) load in english.
2) import/insert some new products from a csv. ok.
3) change to secondary language.
4) import/update these products with second language information from same csv. Flags errors as it cannot find the model number, (nor product id if added to the csv prior to the update).
Attachment 14443
The process works ok with Firefox and IE.

Quote:

No there isn't...
Be aware that when Shopadmin first loads it creates a snapshot of the database. It uses this for error-checking in the browser prior to doing imports.
It is cached and the cache does not renew with changing language, nor with reloading the Shopadmin page nor with closing and reopening it from the admin: you have to manually delete it.
This caused me a problem as I do multiple test-drives of importing large, complex .csvs locally to get them note-perfect before importing them to the real shop.
By not clearing the cache after completing local testing, Shopadmin was error-checking the csv against the wrong database info.
So, the moral is, use one browser for local work and another for remote work when using Apsona Shopadmin.

update of apsona_functions.php to use mysqli
I have modified the apsona_functions.php file to use mysqli.
I only use Apsona for exports and imports so it would be prudent for all and sundry to try this out on their DEVELOPMENT servers and see if it is working in all instances.

I have it working on php 5.5.15.

Yes...and I was about to say that's irrelevant but there is a problem with the self-determination of the admin path in the admin configure.php using the new function zen_parse_url that I haven't figured out yet which means you need to hard-code the admin path in the defines that use that function otherwise the shopadmin index page does not load.

How do I hard-code the admin path in the defines?
From 1.51 the admin configure.php figured out where it was all by itself, eg in 1.53 we have:
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', preg_replace('#^' . str_replace('-', '\-', zen_parse_url(HTTP_SERVER, '/path')) . '#', '', dirname($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'])) . '/');
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', preg_replace('#^' . str_replace('-', '\-', zen_parse_url(HTTPS_SERVER, '/path')) . '#', '', dirname($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'])) . '/');
For Apsona Shopadmin index page to load, you need to hard-code the admin path:
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/shop/ADMIN_DIRECTORY/');//steve apsona
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', DIR_WS_ADMIN);//steve apsona
and note that when using a /local/configure.php there is a problem with the calculation of DIR_FS_ADMIN as mentioned and ignored here:

Re: update of apsona_functions.php to use mysqli
Hi Torvista:
I just saw your response. I made the changes you suggested in the quote below to my /admin/includes/configure.php and it worked.
Thanks a million.
Now I have to figure out how to slay the custom product fields / zen cart product page / TPP dragon... and then I will be able to launch. Other tweaks, enhancements and changes can be implemented as I go along. I am a middle aged "dog" learning new tricks. But with the insights that you, Chadd, MC1234567, Diva Vocals, Delia Designs, Dr.Byte, Apsona etal contribute to the forum, noob-eCom-boomers like me can actually learn.
Thanks again.

Just FYI, this is the old style..cira v1.3.9 that I had in my v1.5.1 by accident and kept IH4 from self installing. Once I used the newer version for determining DIR_WS_ADMIN, the IH4 install worked fine. I wonder what effect changing this back now would have? Frankly my store is working and I do not want to mess with it lol.

If there's something that needs to be changed from my host configuration, could anyone please guide me what it is?
Thanks in advanced.

Re: update of apsona_functions.php to use mysqli
I'm trying to install Apsona Shop admin in my ZC 1.5 in localhost.
I've downloaded the files, after the registration process, and copied them into their respective locations. After that I've downloaded the Apsona Update for ZC 1.5 and again I've copied them.
After all I've run into the admin and nothing appears.
No Apsona logo or any reference to it.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: update of apsona_functions.php to use mysqli
Originally, Apsona was conceived as a money making idea. I cautioned them early that I didn't think it would be that. They decided to release it for free. Why do you expect technical support from a free - now open source - script? All the answers are here in the forum just like every other mod. Torvista just posted the fixes needed for 1.5.3 functions that require the mysqli. It all still works in my client's 1.5.1 carts.
How about posting your problem (after seeing if you can find an answer first if possible as you would for any forum thread)?

As I asked before, doesn't anyone have a useful answer to this problem yet? I looked through every single post on this thread and there has not been one single answer to why anyone would keep getting "The server is not responding. Please check your network connection.

My network connection is just fine or I wouldn't be able to post here, or even get that error in the first place. Please don't come back with nonsense like "Why do you expect technical support from a free - now open source - script? " If you don't have something constructive to add to try and help with this problem, don't add anything at all. If you do have some helpful suggestions, I gladly welcome your input and advice. I'm sure the others that have posted the same, or similar problem, would also appreciate a straightforward answer.

Re: update of apsona_functions.php to use mysqli
To recap all the issues I've run into and their solutions:
all zen cart versions
secure admin: if you are running admin in secure mode two changes must be made to the files provided by apsona
apsona_config.php - change url to https://service.apsona.com
apsona_index.php - about line 42 change the url to https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/lib.../jquery.min.js (adding in the s for https)
1.5.3
Use the apsona_functions.php file posted twice in this thread most recently in post 601
Change the admin configure file to hard code in the admin path as it used to be done. This is not difficult simply comment out this line in yourShopAdmin/includes/configure.php:
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', preg_replace('#^' . str_replace('-', '\-', zen_parse_url(HTTP_SERVER, '/path')) . '#', '', dirname($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'])) . '/');
and replace it with this
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/your shop admin folder/');//steve apsona
Then replace this line
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', preg_replace('#^' . str_replace('-', '\-', zen_parse_url(HTTP_SERVER, '/path')) . '#', '', dirname($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'])) . '/');
with this line
PHP Code:
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', DIR_WS_ADMIN);//steve apsona
(Commenting out means placing // with a following space before the line.)
If you have done both of these for 1.5.3 and still get an error, try using an entirely new browser to check again. If nothing works your hosting company may be the problem. I've tested this on three different servers including my own which is highly secure with many closed ports etc. Apsona does not require anything special in the way of a hosting environment but there was mention earlier in this thread of possible mysql problems with a hosting company. This should work on every server.
wtashby, I was not getting anywhere until I made those changes to the admin configure and was getting both loading with that error message and a load of a non-working apsona page where no data was displayed between the three servers. Let me know if this works for you.
