Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I am sorry if this has been answered i could not find it or missed it
I have this on a site it's amazing it was all new and only 70 skus.
However I want to add it to another site and it has 5,000 SKU's. Needless to say I don't want to manually open each one and save it thus generating the new address.
PLUS I don't want to lose the settings as the db is updated using ezpopulate and those updates are frequent.
Am I missing something or is there add on software to automate this process because I am scared to even start that one.

Read this post, it was posted a few pages back.

or
as several of us have spoken of FREQUENTLY you can purchase the Ceon URI Mapping Manager from Ceon's website. This was just recently mentioned a few days ago on this support thread (
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...&postcount=449) which is why I always say it's a good idea to read through the support thread.. there's ALWAYS good information posted, and most questions are already answered..
The Mappings Manager will do many things including auto generating URIs for existing stores.
Not buggy at all.. Conor makes oneof the few mods that I can say is TRULY bug/trouble-free.. Like Conor said, it really sounds like you've made some mistakes with your install.. Roll back to the state BEFORE installing Ceon URI and simply start over making sure you take care to carefully MERGE the core file overwrites to include any modifications you may have already made to these files..

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I am hoping someone can help me with this and that I'm not posting something someone else did. I apologize if I have.
I have a site where the 1st thing is a wordpress blog. So in the root directory I have rewrites for the blog in the .htaccess. The Zen Cart store is a couple of subdirectories under the main directory.
I have added the Ceon rewrite statements to the end of that .htaccess but they don't work (I get a 404). If I remove the blog rewrite stuff then the categories will work (the product pages don't, the product pages work, but the links are not canonical).
Anyone have an idea for a resolution?
Thanks for the assistance.

Stop wordpress overriding the Ceon rewrite rule by adding an exclusion condition to its rule (for the shop directory/URI parts), or, since you are running the store at least one level down, put the Ceon rewrite rule before the wordpress one, whatever it is (never used WP myself, it's a [poor man's] competitor to Ceon's aarck/aawe system ;) ), and add an exclusion for wordpress' URIs.

That's a mistake by you then. You've missed something when installing Ceon URI Mapping or your template is missing the necessary Zen Cart code to use it - the $canonicalLink stuff (on 1.3.8 this is easily missed as html_header.php also needs modified in that ancient version).
Make sure you have the Ceon URI Mapping modified version of init_canonical.php in the includes/init_includes/overrides directory.
Hopefully the above is enough to get you sorted.
If not then you should install the software from scratch again to fix whatever you missed.
All the best..

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
My website of course have the basic zen-cart urls, i would like to add the ceon to my site. My question: my website is connected to a warehouse, so when a new product comes out, get discontinued, stock changes or any other info, it automatically updates the products. Will CEON still work with this type of website with a data feed from a warehouse?

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Just wondering if anybody has this mod installed along with Magic Zoom and working properly ?

You have a custom script to update your products. Just update it to include the generation of URIs, shouldn't be hard.

I am still running zencart 1.3.8 version can I install the latest CEON add-on on it.
Also my site is under mysite.com/estore . Is it best for ranking purpose to put it in root directory?
Thanks a lot for your contribution and answer.

Re: new sessions showing ?zenid
I have the same problem as was mentioned in previous post - http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...&postcount=235
The URI's on EZpages links show as &zenidXXX rather than ?zenidXXX, creating a "Page Not Found" error.
I am using the EZpages links as side menu items as they are entered on the EZpages admin section as Internal links, with no content.
I have one EZpage with content, and this is showing up with the proper ?zenidXXX link.
However, I have the Testimonials Manager module on my site, and those links show up as http://www.teafromtaiwan.com/index.p...h8gblqv8132rv6, and work correctly.
You can see that this link uses &zenidXXX - and there is no error with this link.
So why do my EZpages links create an error, and the testimonial page not.
And can anyone suggest a fix for this?
http://www.teafromtaiwan.com - EZpages links are found in the side menu.
zc 1.5 and ceon 4.0.8

This doesn't happen with a standard Zen Cart and Ceon URI Mapping so the problem must be caused by some modification on the respective bit of your site.
Find and fix that and things will be fine..
Look for Zen ID being manually added on with an & in the template source and pass the zenid as a parameter to zen_href_link instead.

2nd it's been said several times in this support thread and I believe in the readme as well that you can't use internal links for EZ Pages with Ceon URI.. BTW, it would help if you gave a specific URL for an example of the issue you are speaking of.. I spent a little time "hunting" for an example and don't see the issue.. It would be easier for folks who want to help if you didn't make folks "hunt" through your site looking for an example of the issue you are experiencing..
-
Re: new sessions showing ?zenid
Thanks for your reply. I did indeed see Conor's reply about finding the module that is creating a hardcoded "&". I have been looking for this, but the thing that is confusing me is why the Testimonials Manager can get away with using &zenid, while EZ pages cannot.

You have to delete the zenid cookie in order to see what's happening. Here is an internal link for an EZ page that creates a ?zenid: http://www.teafromtaiwan.com/reward-points - so it seems that internal links for EZ pages DO work sometimes. The only difference between this link and my other menu links is that this EZ page takes its content from the EZ page admin panel, whereas the other links point to content created by the "About Us Page" addon - http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=182
Here is an EZpage internal link creates a &zenid link : http://www.teafromtaiwan.com/shop/loose-tea
Here is a Testimonials link: http://www.teafromtaiwan.com/index.p...v20p1q4lr1b6n3
So the testimonials link is creating "&zenid" - but perhaps the difference here is the question mark after index.php - "index.php?"
Anyway ... I was basically looking for an explanation about why some EZpage links work correctly and not others. I can convert them to external pages, but I think there should be a way for the zenid to be added to these links.
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Addendum to above:
My mistake - the EZpage link that DOES work correctly uses the "URI Mapping" box. The other links were inserted as internal links and give me "&zenid" with new sessions.
I would still like to know - what are the consequences of omitting the zenid session info from links within the website?

Because the problem isn't that there is an ampersand in front of zenid= but that there is an ampersand in front of zenid when it should be a question mark.
The first query string parameter in a URI must always have a question mark in front of it, all following parameters are preceded by ampersands.
If you search the net for "URIs" you can read more about the format of URIs.. worth doing if you are running a website, it's pretty useful to know how web addresses work.

You can have static URIs for ANY Zen Cart page.. the software is capable of matching any query string parameter string you like. :)
You have to enter a record in the database manually but this is very easily done, just filling in a simple form in PHPMyAdmin.

Actually I wonder if this is right, some of my ez-pages have internal links to define_pages - both with Ceon url's, and all SEEMS well.
However, just seen this from Conor!

Yes, "internal links" have no place when you've installed Ceon URI Mapping. Instead of creating fake pages that redirect to others, you can add a record to the URI mapping table for the page.
So add a mapping for the define page to the Ceon URI mapping table and add a link to this nice new URI to your site.

I find the need to create a number of 'fake' pages (which is what a blank redirected ezpage would be). Say for instance I want to have specific pages in the top nav bar or displayed in the 'footer columns mod', these links need to be ezpages, but the site-map, contact-us form and product reviews, for example, cannot be created as an ezpage so an internal link to a define page is required.
Quote:

I didn't mean to imply that my ezpage internal links aren't working - they are. So the quote that I referred to - 'you can't use internal links for EZ Pages with Ceon URI' is not, in practice right and with the examples I've given above is in practice sometimes necessary. Unless there's something I'm not seeing here.
cheers

I wasn't saying that they can't work.. they can.. but that they shouldn't be used. They are a leftover from the use of dynamic URIs in Zen Cart which aren't needed when you use static URIs.. using them results in unnecessary redirections.

Got it.. I misunderstood your previous posts on this matter and was repeating what I thought was valid information..
Personally I don't use EZ Pages at all ESPECIALLY for internal links.. When using your add-on, I simply create proper redirects for my defined pages and get on with my day.. I also know how to add defined pages to my menus and such so that I don't have to be bothered with those silly internal links.. I also stopped creating EZ Pages to create additional pages as I simply create custom defined pages for any additional pages I need.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi, I am using ZC v1.3.9h and barebones template.
I have read the faq but do not see anything that matches my problem. (or I missed it)
I installed CEON uri mapping yesterday following all instructions and since then received 2 errors and 192 warnings on Googles webmaster tools. (Which is basically a warning on every product page).
The issue is
Url blocked by robots.txt ( my robots.txt is set to Allow: / till I get everything set up) so I wondered if I missed somethin in the configuration.
Error message example is
URL restricted by robots.txt
Sitemap: /sitemapezpages.xml
Warning message example is
Sitemap: /sitemapproducts.xml
Value: http://www.mywebsite.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=180
What I have done so far:
Because uri mapping only works on new inputs, I manually added uri mapping on categories and sub-categories. I have not done the products yet. I also unticked the box to have the URI auto-generated for this category. Should they be ticked?
This morning, I turned uri mapping off till I can get the problem resolved.

Sorry but your problems are nothing to so with Ceon URI Mapping itself but something to do with Google Webmaster Tools or your sitemap or your robots.txt file.
I don't use Google Webmaster Tools so I'm afraid I can't help you.
If no-one else can help you here, it might be worthwhile posting in a more appropriate thread, like the Google Sitemaps thread or something?
At least you know the problem's not Ceon URI Mapping, but the use of static URIs on your site, given how your site is set up.
Hopefully that information helps you to find and fix the problem.

If you tick it then a URI will be automatically generated, if you don't then you have to enter one yourself. Either method is a perfectly fine way to work.
Have a nice weekend!

it could well be the sitemaps are causing a problem and manifested itself when I installed uri mapping. I hope I did not sound disparaging. I will investigate the site maps as well.

The truth is I don't know.. check out the site maps and anything else which affects the reports you are getting back from this Google Webmaster Tools thing.
Obviously the URIs on your site work with Ceon URI Mapping installed, but you are getting reports from a 3rd party tool (GWT) that appears to be having problems with site maps or robots.txt.. so I'd imagine that's what you need to fix, not Ceon URI Mapping. Try finding a problem with the sitemaps or delete your robots.txt file and see what happens.

You've made a mistake when upgrading.
Either you've forgotten to upload some files, your FTP software has failed to upload some files (happens) or you have uploaded files intended for the includes/ directory to your admin/includes directory.
If you look in the debug logs in your store's cache folder you'll probably be able to find out what file(s) you've missed uploading or put in the wrong place.
Start the upgrade again from scratch, taking care to follow all steps carefully and to make sure all files upload and that you haven't uploaded any to the wrong place.
Hope that helps.

I'm really sorry but you've messed something up and it would take direct access to your server to see what. I suggest you check in your cache folder for debug files and if there are any they should help you find and fix the problem you've created.
Hopefully you can find and fix the problem easily with info from the debug logs!

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I cant figure out how to add other pages to friendly URL
I am not sure how to go about adding it to the database
I have a page define_about_maine_wreaths.php that used to work with this url http://familytraditionwreaths.com/ab...e_wreaths.html when i used Ultimate SEo URL mod
What exactly do i enter into the database to get this link to work again
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I figured out how to enter it, but is it not possible to enter it so it works with .html? If not all my indexed pages for my old links will be broken

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Ceon thanks for a great contribution.
Unfortunately I have not been able to get it working after reinstalling several times checking each directory to make sure all the files are in the correct places. I have gone throught the FAQ and I am suspect other issues are lurking which have to do with me or shared hosting.
I have ZC 1.5 and the latest of your addon. I am on bluehost. I have installed similar mods/addons for Wordpress and Drupal.
I have used the suggested rewrite rules and placed in the root as suggested.
I still continue to get a 404 on the generated pages.
Any ideas?

Get in contact with FTP and admin details and I'll take a look.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Conor,
Thanks for the fast support! Just can't believe the obvious was overlooked be me because the documentation is supurb. Anyhow so pleased how the free version works with easy populate and google sitemaps xml l did get the paid version and worth every penny ... love the aust generated urls would have took me quite a while to update and still have several thousand products to update and finish up the store. Any ETA on the next version?

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Thank you for your plugin, it's very helpful! But I got a little problem with my ez-page. when i visit /index.php?main_page=contact_us, i got the contact us page. But after I rewrite the url in the ez-page, I can just see the blank page. Only if I add some content into the contact us ez-page html area. Then I can see something. It seems that ceon creates a new ez-page when rewrite the url. Not same as the old contact us or review page. So please help! Thank you in advance! :bigups:
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi,
Glad you like it.
/index.php?main_page=contact_us isn't an EZ-Page, it's a standard "other" Zen Cart page.
To add a URI Mapping for it you need to follow the instructions in the configuration documentation about adding URI Mappings for "Other" pages using PHPMyAdmin.
main_page will obviously be contact_us in this case.
Hope that helps!

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi, I have been struggling with the installation because of some error in copying over files. I re-copied twice more and I have a unique problem. Original problem was a blank log in screen to my admin ( no place to enter user/password). Finally I corrected that and I now have a login screen - BUT - when I login it redirects me to the login/registration page in my store!!!!
Any ideas what I am missing or copied incorrectly??
The store works fine. I have navigated through out the store and no problems.
Thanks for help.

Check that you haven't accidentally uploaded the files meant for the store's includes folder to the admin/includes folder.
Especially the files in init_includes/overrides.
I've a feeling you've made that mistake and this is breaking the sessions functionality.
If you have, delete all the files you uploaded and then start again, paying close attention to the installation instructions.

Thanks for the reply.
I still consider myself an newbie but a more experienced newbie than some. BUT in this situation I give up and need help from a GURU ( that's you).
I deleted all the files I copied over ( went through folder by folder.) I then started from scratch with the installation and I am back at the same problem. Logging in to the ADMIN takes me to the STORE LOGIN/REGISTRATION PAGE.
The last debug file in my cache folder is as follows:

This is saying that the cache folder, where your sessions are stored, is either missing or doesn't have the correct permissions. Check it exists and that the webserver has write access.

This is saying that you need to set the date.timezone option in your PHP.ini file. If you don't have access to your php.ini file, you may need to do taht in some sort of control panel.

Neither of these are in any way related to Ceon URI Mapping. Hopefully my info above is enough for you to fix things?
If not then you can send me details but I'm afraid it's not work I'd do for free, I'm sure you can understand, this thread is to support Ceon URI Mapping issues only.

Changing Master Categories
Hi,
I want to move my products into categories based on manufacturers to make it easier to set up sales.
If I change the master category of products, how will that affect the mappings, is it safe to generate new URI's and will the old mappngs point to these new mappings.
Thanks
Mick

Yes, that should be fine as long as you do indeed generate new URIs. The old URIs for the products will simply remain in the database as historical URIs and will redirect to the products' new URIs.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi
I've installed this module but i'm getting the following errors and i'm not sure how to fix them.
Store Configuration Files Check
The value for HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER in the store's admin configure.php file is wrong.
The current value for HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER is “https://secure-server.co.uk/my-store.com/”.
The value for HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER cannot include a subdirectory.
This value must be a domain name preceded by https://, with no subdirectory after the domain name and no slash at the end.
The only valid formats are https://store-domain.com or https://www.store-domain.com etc.
The path to the subdirectory must be removed from after the domain name definition in HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER.
If the store is in a subdirectory, then the name of the subdirectory should instead be placed in DIR_WS_CATALOG, preceded and followed by slashes, e.g. /store/ - the subdirectory name cannot be part of the HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER domain name setting.
The value for HTTPS_SERVER in the store side's configure.php file is wrong.

I understand what the text say.
It's the way my host has the secure server setup. For me to use the secure server my site needs to be a subdirectory.
I think my question is, is there away around this and still use my secure server and uri mapping.
Thanks

You MUST use an SSL certificate for your site if you want to use static URIs and SSL.
You cannot use a shared certificate which uses a sub-directory.
So either buy an SSL certificate (they cost as little as $9.95 a year so you've no excuse) or disable SSL on your site.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
ZenCart 1.5
EP 4.0
Fairly new.. I was about the install the "Ceon URI Mapping" but step #8 Add the Rewrite Rule to the Webserver (Apache/IIS etc.) has me a little concern.
Not sure what's involved.
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I have just updated to the latest version of uri mapping as I was having redirect problems which I found in the error log in cpanel
The installation has gone ok but I am still getting loads of errors like the following
File does not exist: /home2/simo4121/public_html/Silver_and_Formal_Canes, referer: http://www.allgoodideas.co.uk/Silver..._imagehover.js
currently on 1.39h
the /home2/simo4121/public_html/ is the COMPLETE path to Zen Cart files as in configure.php
What is going wrong?
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I have zen-cart 1.50
Apache server on Linux at GoDaddy.com
Installed Latest uri mapping v4.0.8
Ran check utility, all was good
top level categories and products work
http://my-site/category works good.
http://my-site/category/product works good
http://my-site/category/ => 404 error (trailing slash)
sub-categories and products in sub-categories return 404
http://my-site/category/sub-category => 404 error
http://my-site/category/sub-category/product => 404 error
any ideas?
Great module by the way. Just missing something here.:dontgetit

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I solved it! I happened to have a directory in root with same name as the category. Thus, mod_rewrite rule blocked everything below that category. Feel free to delete my posts.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I'm having a strange problem. I'm running ZC 1.39H, installed everything, etc... BUT, what is strange is that if you click on a category that has products under it or sub categories, nothing shows up. I get a page for the category, but no products. I've searched high and low for an answer, even in the faq and docs. Couldn't find a solution. Even if I turn off SEO, it still has the problem. There was no prob before the install. I ran the diagnostics and such and it says everything is fine. Please help. I'm losing business. Ugh...

Do you mean a third party news module? (Like News and Articles manager or something?).
If so, then no, mappings can't be added for those automatically.. but they can be added if you manually enter URI mappings in the database using software such as PHPMyAdmin.
You'd have to set the main_page and query_string_parameters fields (e.g. maing_page set to "news" and query_string_parameters set to "article=13" or something along those lines), as well as uri (/news/this-is-the-name-of-the-article), current_uri, language_id and date_added.
More info about adding custom URIs is in the configuration documentation, I'm afraid that's as much as I have to say about it here.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi,
I have searched and searched and cant find a fix to allow CEON URI to work with wordpress intergrated into Zencart.
I'm not using the MOZ mod, but instructions from
https://www.numinix.com/blog/2009/09...n-cart-1-3-8a/
I just cant get mydomain.com/blog to work unless I disable CEON. I have added wordpress and /blog as exceptions and added the suggestion to the htaccess but still no luck.
Any help is very appreciated.
Thanks guys

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
ive just installed ceon uri mapping 4.0.8
and ive got everything working as far as the url's go
however as you can see in the included image right sidebox
is now off to the right about 130 pixels.
ive read thru the faq about template problems and the fix suggested however this was no help
the site is modified a bit (inc custom sidebox, header menu, better cattegories, twitter and facebook etc)

No longer receiving admin order notification emails.
I added module Ceon URI Mapping (SEO) to Zen-Cart 1.50
Hosted on Apache with GoDaddy Linux server.
URI's are working.
I ran check, and all was good.
Just one problem. I no longer get admin email notifications for orders. I still can get contact_us emails. Order confirmation emails are being sent to customers. If I turn off URI Mapping in admin config the problem still persists. I assume that when I added the URI module I made an error in a customized file edit somewhere when I couldn't simply transfer the whole file.
So, what file could I have edited that would only disable admin email notifications?
At this point I am just trying to narrow down what I need to look at.
I did edits manually in custom files...
admin/includes/english/product.php
admin/includes/modules/update_product.php
admin/includes/modules/prod_cat_header_code.php
admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php
admin/includes/modules/product/preview_info.php
Thanks for any help. Bruce J.

Are you using Ceon URI Mapping 4.0.8? it has NO known issues whatsoever, so any problems need to be fixed on the wordpress side, not Ceon URI Mapping.

Hi Bruce,

I can help you narrow things down by telling you that you are looking in the wrong place. It's impossible for Ceon URI Mapping to have the effect you are describing, NONE of its files interact with e-mail.
So you must have been changing something else at the same time.
None of the core files you listed use notifications. None of the modified core files in Ceon URI Mapping do.
At least you know you didn't make a mistake in any of those files and can discount them as the source of your problem.
Sorry I don't have any more info than that.
Maybe check your e-mail settings?
At least enable E-mail Archiving so you can see that the e-mails are being sent. Maybe it's a simple spam filter issue.
Good luck sorting this! Obviously you can start a new thread if you're still having trouble, this isn't the right thread for it anymore.

Thanks! You solved it. Google Mail spam folder was the issue. I even had a filter set up to put these messages in a separate inbox. Ceon URI Mapping 4.0.8 worked on first install! I am going straight to the Ceon website to make a donation for the AWESOME addon.

You need to make sure you've correctly added the following exclusion condition:
Code:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/blog [NC]
That will stop anything with /blog at the start from being handled by Ceon URI Mapping.

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi Connor,
Thats been added which is why I'm puzzeled.
##############################___
RewriteRule ^blog(.*)$ /index.php?main_page=blog&$1 [E=VAR1:$1,QSA,L]
# Don't rewrite any URIs ending with a file extension (ending with .[xxxx])
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.[a-zA-Z]{2,4}$
# Don't rewrite admin directory
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/admin.* [NC]
# Don't rewrite editors directory
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/editors.* [NC]
# Don't rewrite cPanel directories
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/cpanel.* [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/frontend.* [NC]
# Don’t rewrite blog directory
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/blog.* [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/wp.* [NC]
# Handle all other URIs using Zen Cart (index.php)
RewriteRule (.*) /index.php?%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
# Do rewrite blog directory
#RewriteRule ^blog(.*)$ /index.php?main_page=blog&$1 [E=VAR1:$1,QSA,L]
########################################__
Any ideas?
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Also worth mentioning if I create a link in the db ceon_uri_mapping for main_page=blog the /blog works but obviously subsequent blog link dont.
-
Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi,
This doesn't look right to me:
RewriteRule ^blog(.*)$ /index.php?main_page=blog&$1 [E=VAR1:$1,QSA,L]
If your rewrite software is checking against the path including the starting slash, the above will never match. Maybe try:
RewriteRule ^/blog(.*)$ /index.php?main_page=blog&$1 [E=VAR1:$1,QSA,L]
The "^" means "start of", and "$" means "end of".
Actually, I just realised all this is mostly irrelevant.. why are you rewriting to index.php?main_page??!! That is just you manually calling Zen Cart again then!
You need to have the rewrite rule for the blog actually use the blog PHP file, not Zen Cart's index.php!!
The instructions you were given for integrating appear to be wrong.
All the best...

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi Conor,
Its calling main_page=blog as this is integrated wordpress into zencart, it works perfect with the rewrite above but only when ceon is disabled.
The aim is to have the blog appear seemliness integrated within ZenCart.

Then the integration software simply doesn't work "properly".. change it so that instead of calling index.php?main_page=blog, it calls a file like blog.php and have the blog.php file load the Zen Cart initsystem if necessary. Piggy backing things as above is just messy.
As this is third party stuff I'm afraid that's as much help as I can give.
Hope you can get this sorted.

Thanks Conor I think thats the route I will take, one last idea is hard code main_page=blog to be excluded as it seems the exclusion list isn't taking this into account

An alternative may be to edit includes/classes/CeonURIMappingHandlerBase.php and have it check to see if you are calling Zen Cart via a /blog URI:
After
PHP Code:
if (!$this->_normaliseServerEnvironment()) {
// Couldn't establish a reasonable value for PHP_SELF
}
Add
PHP Code:
if (strpos($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], 'blog') !== false) {
return;
}
All the best..

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Conor,
I installed the module on my website w/ zen 1.3.9h.
I tried to login to my admin but instead went to this page on my website - http://www.sourceforherbs.com/index....n_page=login??
I deleted all files and reinstalled THREE TIMES with the exact same problem. My admin and website have been working without a problem since 12/11 when I did my last changes on my site??
Any clues why??

Make sure you upload the files to the right places. Don't put any files for the ini_includes directory inside admin/includes/init_includes!
Hope that helps!

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU! You were right, as usual.
I did mis-copy and corrected. Installation check was perfect. Hope the rewrite rule setup will be ok.
Thanks again

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Issue Resolved Turns Out it wasnt the URI Mapping after all.
It was the html table in the listing itself.
many thanx to mydigitalfixation.com

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hello, I installed the Ceon URI Mapping to my 1.5 version of Zen Cart. I LOVE the program... however, now my Facebook share does not show images for the pages that have been changed by the mod. And if you copy and paste a page into facebook, it doesn't show an image thumb nail. It is only on the pages that I have updated the web address to. Is there an adjustment that I can add to my site to make the mapped pages show an image on facebook?

Really glad to hear you like the software!
I'm afraid I've never used facebook before so I don't actually know what you mean about copying and pasting pages into it?
If you copy the URI from your browser's address box or the URI mapping textfield in the admin, surely it's just plain text that you copy and paste into this place in facebook? :dontgetit
It shouldn't make a difference whether the page uses a dynamic Zen Cart URI or a Ceon URI Mapping static URI?!
All the best...

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
I am seeing duplicate title tags and meta descriptions. Is there something I do not have configured correctly? I have checked my sitemaps and they have the correct clean urls.

That's nothing to do with Ceon URI Mapping but a problem with how you've set the store up for Meta tags.
I'm afraid I don't know what you should be doing, but at least you know that this is the wrong thread for this.. try searching the forum or starting a new thread.
Hope you get this sorted easily.
Have a nice weekend!

Re: Ceon URI Mapping v4.x
Hi
I have just installed Ceon URI Mapping, everything appears to be working fine, urls are being rewritten etc
The problem I have is with the .htaccess rewrite rule I used the auto generated rule & the .htaccess is in my root. but when i try to access other installations / directories on my domain i get sent back to my website with a 404 error. Remove the .htaccess file & turn off mapping & everything is back to normal.
I think the don't write rule isn't working?
Hope this makes sense

The "Don't Rewrite" conditions are made based on the names of directories for your site.. the software only generates an "Example" rewrite rule.
It's up to you to customise the conditions as appropriate for your server.
Read the documentation on adding exclusions and add exclusions for any other paths on your server used by "other" software/installations.
All the best..
