can anyone tell me how to get feed include other language?
thanks a lot.
waiting for reply.................
Posting this in both support threads in case someone following either one can answer..
Question for anyone running this..
I realize that I have to add the following attributes:
Size, Color, Age Group, Gender, Material, Pattern, ISBN, EAN, UPC, and Google Product Category
Seems as if UPC, and Google Product Category are required for ALL products, but what about Size, Color, Age Group, Gender, Material, Pattern, ISBN, & EAN?? If these attributes do NOT apply to my products, do I HAVE to include these attributes for those products that they do not apply to? If the answer to this is yes, what values do I use for the option values for attributes that do not apply to my products???
Hi
My feed output this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
while it should be
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> (capital letters)
and because of this it was creating trouble and the feed was not accepted by Google.
Where do i find the code in the module to modify this utf-8?
Thanks
L.
OK, since google has decided to make their U.S. targeted feeds only usable if you use payed subscription to Google ads on October 17 we in the U.S. need to perhaps diversify the feed to other countries.
To do this for instance targeting the UK instead we need to add the VAT attribute. Since we are in the U.S. we do not charge VAT.
Can someone give explicite instructions on how to add VAT being £0.00 from U.S. sellers to Zencart so this attribute shows in the feed?
I know it probably is as simple as adding a new Zone but I for one do not understand it. I already have one zone for Washington State sales tax and do not want to mess it up.
We need to somehow force the VAT attribute in though if possible.
Thank you.
I'm trying to align the new product ads closely with my products, but my products don't fit very well into standard categories, and I can't get the product types as specific as I need them. When I set product type to 'top', it uses my top-level category. That works fine, but my ads are more closely targeted than that and I need this criteria to set the ad target. When I set it to 'bottom', the product type is left out altogether (on ALL products). Setting it to 'full' seems to work, but I still need to test if it's going to solve my Product Ads problem. I'd really prefer 'bottom', so if anybody has any idea what the problem might be, I'd appreciate any help with this.
Is there a way to make output file text not xml?
Are there any plans to add the ability to exclude products by id? It looks like it can only exclude categories.
I finally get all my products to upload without any errors. However, I get this error now:
http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/5...21120at125.png
This may be not related to his add-on per say, but I am wondering if anyone has a solution for this. Almost all my products do not have UPC codes.
Hi,
Ive done the install but get the following error when clicking on the Google Feed Option within Tools:-

Does this mean anything to anyone or could it be a number of things?
Thanks all
I've just noticed that when we've been uploading our feed to Google Merahcnt centre, it's not actually showing them in search results. The reason is the shipping. Please does anyone know why it's not adding the shipping to the feed from the following screenshots:
ERROR MESSAGE:
http://www.silkblooms.co.uk/images/google-froogle-1.jpg
ADMIN SETUP:
http://www.silkblooms.co.uk/images/google-froogle-2.jpg
According to all I've been told, the google merchant center feeds are only being used if you are doing adwords. But to fix the shipping I think you can just choose a shipping method there in the merchant center as a default and fix that.
I just found this on Google:
On May 31, 2012, we announced a new initiative to improve our shopping experience over time, so that shoppers (your customers) can easily research purchases, compare different products, their features and prices, and then connect directly with merchants to make their purchase.
As part of this new initiative, called Google Shopping, we transitioned Google Product Search in the US to a commercial model built on Product Listing Ads. This transition was completed on October 17.
We have now announced that Google Shopping is transitioning to a commercial model built on Product Listing Ads in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Australia, and Switzerland. The transition of Google Shopping to a commercial experience will be complete in these locales by the end of Q2 2013.
We believe that having a commercial relationship with merchants will encourage them to keep their product information fresh and up to date. Higher quality data — whether it’s accurate prices, the latest offers, or product availability — should mean better shopping results for users, which in turn should create higher quality traffic for merchants.
I also saw that for Canada, there's a different thing and you can only target customers on .ca sites.
They don't make it very clear do they?
I've got the error on the shipping to disappear now, thank you for that. I'm just waiting to see if the products will filter into the searches. Doesn't look like it though. We're UK based, so should't really affect our product feed but I'll give it a couple of hours and see if it propagates.
Bottomline is that for your products to show in the searches you must have an Adwords account and you must link your feed to an active campaign.. This is already true in the US, and it sounds like they are rolling out the same program worldwide this year..
they are rolling out a paid model to other regions in 2013.. So it won't be JUST the USA for long..

Ahh, ok... well I won't be paying for clicks. Not really fair on small businesses, hopefully they'll go back to the good old Google Products.
Please help me:
I do not know where my mistake or what I adjust to my module to work.
the only thing I created is this:

Any ideas to resolve this??
Hi guys,
google wrote me warning that my feed does not have the parameter "availabilty" and therefore my feed will be soon excluded.
They allow only description like" in stock" "out of stock" "available for order" "preorder".
Has anyone a solution for this?
I do not like to show the availabilty on my shop cause I do not use the zen caart inventory management, therefore I need a solution that is indipendent from the availabilty setting in admin.
Thanks in advance.
ciao from Italy
Hey Diva (and other Google Merchant folks)!
So, google will nix your products feed if you don't have a ppc campaign.
My questions is what happens to your feed if you only have PPC on only a few products in your feed? Does your entire feed show in google products (I doubt it), or only the ones with a PPC campaign.
If the later is true, then there is not sense to feeding google merchant center with your entire store. If that's the case, then this module would need some work so you can feed ONLY the products in your PPC campaign.
If I'm rambling a bit, I'm sorry. I have a client who recently wanted to start using Amazon's PPC tools. With Amazon, you supply only the products you want to feed, not your entire store.
Thoughts?
Yes it's true Google will not do anything with your feed without an active PPC campaign linked to the product feed.. I don't really see the benefit of this mod anymore unless you are an active Google AdWords client... <rant>Seems unfair for Google to build up their brand on the backs of small businesses only to turn it into a paid service..</rant>
That said, I only have two clients who use this anymore, and these two clients use the Pro version of this mod.. (didn't want to mess with installing this so we opted to pay Numinix to install it)
but like Design75 stated, there is a way to include or exclude categories and/or manufacturers from the feed.
I'll have to look at the exclusions options. It may require a little modifying to categories so you only have worthwhile products in it.
Despite my GREAT concerns and adamant warning to proceed with great caution, this one client decided to dump $500 dollars into your PPC account which emptied in 3 days. Oh, and no conversions!
It would be different if a click resulted in a purchase. That would mean something, but this is truly meaningless and subject to abuse. It would not take a genius to write a script to run through a randomizing TOR browser and eat up your competition's PPC accounts.
At least with Amazon, she's set up her account for like a $8 a day limit, and ALL products show in Amazon that she's submitted, and she only pays for the click.
I cannot install the sql patch. I get error msg. WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again. I tried running the different sections individiually and all the other parts ran fine. This is the part it gags on:

Hello
How can i set up the table products_model in order to get something automatically filled with whatever numbers or letters when i add a product?
I sell minerals, none of my products has a model number, each piece is unique, i just need a generated unique model number for Google feed...
Thanks

version zencart 1.3.9h
With the transition of Google Shopping to a commercial model built on Product Listing Ads, we have updated our international feed specifications . These changes will take effect in March 2013. Advertisers who are using the reduced Product Ads feed spec will need to bring their feeds into compliance with these new requirements.]
are we all still compatible??
Hi, I recently took over a client account using Zen-Cart 1.39e. I installed the correct version of Google Merchant Center Feeder, following the instructions very carefully, and do see Admin > Configuration > Google Merchant Center Feeder Configuration with the long list of parameters, some of which are already filled out, others of which are blank or have placeholder data.
However, I don't see Admin > Tools > Google Merchant Center Feeder.
There aren't any error messages or anything; it just isn't there.
Have I done something wrong, or do I have to fill in the missing parameters before it will appear, or what?
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE:
OK, never mind...it turns out there were several problems:
1. I had one of the files in the wrong directory, D'oh!
2. a couple of files had to have their CHMOD changed (NOT the feeds directory; some others which weren't referenced in the install instructions)
Once both of these were resolved, voila. Still have to familiarize myself with the actual categorization etc, but that's just to match Google's requirements, not a problem with the script I presume.
Thanks anyway :)
Hi, I've been using Zen Cart 1.5 since July of 2012 and Google Merchant Center Feeder.
I have not had any issues with the Google Merchant Center Feeder until today. I put a few items back in-stock that have not been active for the last 3 years. Now I'm getting an error in the XML feed from google. It is giving me an error on "Product_Type" for the product that was put back in-stock only. When I look at the XML file the "Product_Type" is missing. The Google Merchant Center Feeder created the "Product Type" on the newly added items in the same category. Why would the Google Merchant Center Feeder not create a "Product_type"?
Well, it took me three days, but I think I've read all the thread...
Obviously running on ZC 1.3.9h and GMCF v1.12.5 with some "last minutes patches applied" already (thank you torvista !).
Beside some problems on some items, which I already know (less than 1%), I'm currently uploading my feeds correctly and with success.
I've some of questions which are not yet too clear to me and I hope to find someone willing to clean my ideas a little bit...
1.
Being Italian and running a "international store", I've decided to start with the English translation, which is something not too difficult for me, so the website is actually available both in Italian and English.
Being so, I can set up my feed correctly for the Italian market, but I would start setting up a feed for other countries too.
Does this NECESSARLY involve manually making all the variations within the GMCF configuration each time, or is there any way of having a "double configuration", so that I might avoid worrying about forgetting a needed detail when switching ?
Does anyone know of a possible solution, if externally available ?
Or am I so dumb and I really did not understand how this really works ??? (it might be !!!)
2.
I've seen that someone had some problems of images used by GMC without having the necessary WATERMARK.
I run IH3 too (recently upgraded it from IH2), I have the same problem (images without watermark) and I've seen no clear answer of how others solved this, if a solution is available...
Anyone ?
3.
When switching from language to language, does anyone know if the Google Taxonomy should be translated too, or if leaving the previous language one, it will be still correct (being changed by Google to its related one in the other language) ???
Sorry if some of my questions seems dumb: sometimes (and with Google very often) I think I really am... :shocking:
I've some more details on this, while still not having a solution yet...
The switch for IH2 or IH3 actually works... if it is OFF the feed file contains the path to the original picture of the item, if it is ON it gets the image from the bmz_cache folder...
The problem is (and I don't know if it is a IH3 or GMFM fault) that the image to which the links points is of a UN-WATERMARKETED image (present, I don't know for which reason, inside bmz_cache folder...).
Is this a "middle" image used by IH ?
Is this a wrong image to which GMFM points to ?
Anyone ?
Well,
not seing so much activity here, but making a lot of activity on my side, instead of BUMPING my question, I add some more details to the problem, so that maybe, the first one reading and having a clue, might add his experience...
I've tried investigating HOW it was possible that IH3 could make a copy without watermark in the bmz_cache folder, where it keeps it cached images, but I haven't been able yet to find an answer...
Trying many things, I also cleared the bmz_cache contents... and guess what ???
I've discovered that, for unknown reasons, while the watermarked images are present in the bmz_cache folder, when I launch the feed generation, the contents of the feed ONLY GET THE IMAGES from bmz_cache folder for some articles (not all of them), while the others are sourced out from the original images repository...
This is a non-sense, at least until I understand HOW IH3 generates its filenames (and WHERE it stores such information !!!).
Really, I'm getting crazy !!! :frusty::frusty::frusty:
This should read:

error with feed, my feed is giving an error when it come to shipping price as the plugin is added an extra price tag...
<g:shipping>
<g:price>0</g:price>
</g:shipping>
it is wrapping the shipping tag with a price tag again (which when reading the google spec isn't required. This is giving me random errors with the price being discplayed on google centre (and sevial other places that use the same feed) is there a way to remove this price tag around the shipping??

This what my configuration looks like. This does not look complete.
Help!
I would definitely double check the downloaded archive and the presence of ALL the needed files in the website, as a first step, and then at the error logs, to see if something wrong happened on the DB when installing...
I have tried using the unistalsql and I believe the patch is still install because if I try to install I get the error message that there are duplicates. How would I manually remove this patch so that I could start over fresh?
Load a backup copy of the affected tables is the fastest, if it's a SQL issue.
heads up

In case anyone else is getting a similar error like this:
price: 0 - skipped, price below zero, description length less than 15 chars, or title less than 3 chars - failed
Switch the currency to the correct currency under the Merchant Feeder settings. It defaults to USD and if you're using a different currency it will think your products are $0.
Hope that helps someone!
How do I create multiple feeds with different currencies to target different countries, eg AUD, CAD , as of now we are generating feeds with USD as our default currency.
Please guide.
Thanks
Is there a plugin for google feeds for the v1.5.1 zencart?
I have not been able to get it to work with 1.51. I installed it once, but could not get a feed. I uninstalled the files and the SQL patch, then tried to reinstall the SQL patch and it would not let me. I tried both thru Zen Cart and thru MySQL Admin
Can anyone verify that the latest Numinix Google Feed does work with ZC 1.51?
Hello,
How we can exclude some products as you may know google does not allow some products to list?
I see option to exclude categories and manufacturers but no products.
The google_base.php has the functions that check for what categories and manufacturers are allowed by the site owner. You will want to add your product exclusion list to the "function check_product" and add your custom function to check against the admin product list you specify. With the way zencart has built in functions, it will do the heavy lifting for you.
Do you mean moving the excluded products to another category to filter out those products? Or do you mean linking products to that excluded category? If the former option, keep in mind that you will now be separating products in 2 different categories which could hurt the navigation of browsing. If the latter, it will avoid splitting the products out of its original category. But possibly some modifications to the functions may have to be done if the latter is done. This will depend on if it grabs the master cat id which I have not looked at indepth earlier.
We have installed a test version of Zen Cart V1.5.5a. The google feeder will not create the XML file. The pop-up window indicates the following:
Google Merchant Center Feeder V1.13.0 started 2016/07/02 11:54:24
Feed file - list file name.
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No.
Id: 227, Price $4.99, description: 68 - included
WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.
Anybody know what this error could possible be?
You could refer to this posting: https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...-and-try-again
We have installed a test version of Zen Cart V1.5.5a. We are upgrading from V1.5.0. The attributes are the issue why the Google Feeder will not work. We removed the attributes off the first few products and the Google feeder will create those few items without issuing the "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again." I've do extensive research on the attributes. I've downloaded the attributes SQL tables into a spreadsheet from test site and production. Compared them and they match.
When I add the attributes back the google feeder will error out on the first product again. We are at a lost how to fix this. Help please
We have installed a test version of Zen Cart V1.5.5a. We have installed Google Merchant Center Feeder version 1.14.4
PHP version is 5.6
PHP Settings are:
max_execution_time 50000
memory_limit 256M
Post_max_size 64M
Now the Google Merchant Center Feeder is giving out of memory issues after about 115 products.
[09-Jul-2016 16:08:48 PHP Warning: mysqli_query(): (HY000/2008): Out of memory in /mysite/includes/classes/db/mysql/query_factory.php on line 45
I read one post that indicated you had to have CSS/JS loader installed. Not sure if that is the correct course of action to fix this issue.
I can run the Google Merchant Center Feeder on my production site using version 1.13.0 and PHP version 5.2 and the same memory setting and it will create over 2500 products.
Anybody know how to fix?
I don't have a solution, but I can confirm that I've seen this same symptom multiple times on various versions of Zen Cart. This module uses a TON of RAM. It's in desperate need of being overhauled and optimized to use less RAM to build its output. It definitely can't handle large product databases in its current state.
No, they're completely unrelated.
Or, at least, as far as I know the CSS/JS Loader mod is designed for storefront use, and is geared around loading CSS and Javscript and minifying them for "optimized use" based on the mod author's interpretation. Unless this Goog Merch generator uses some shared functions in that css/js mod it doesn't make any sense that they'd need to coexist.
Plus, the CSS/JS Loader mod has always bloated stores worse than what they promised to save, at least in my experience.
