I just wanted to follow up my messages posted earlier in the week. I struggled through with IH2 and finally gave up. I don't know why I couldn't get it to work, but I have a single image on the Zen Lightbox that looks really cool. I found HappyMultipix over at OsC and that has worked perfectly! I now have multiple images in my products. You can see them in action here: www.ausableflyrods.com (work still in progress)

I would love to use this mod but it doesn't seem to work for me. I'm using IH2 and Zen version 1.3.7. When I click on Larger View, a new window is opened with my larger image. I also have hover disabled since I'm using a scrolling sidebox. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. www.foxxydiva.com/fashions
when looking at your site I can see that the javascript for the lightbox is loading but when I view the source it appears that its not calling the images the way the lightbox mod would.....so I would have to say that you need to make sure that when you loaded it you renamed the custom_template directories included in the mod to match your custom_template name....not changing to match would cause this exact problem as the files would not be found because they exist only in their own template rather than in your template.
I hasve lightbox installed, when i click on 1st picture it is fine, press next, and the picture doesnt load,

renamed the folders as instructed and mod installed but it doesnt appear to be working. www.helshopcrafts.co.uk Do I have to have IH2 installed as well as I dont think I do. Any help gratefully appreciated as this looks to be a great mod. (Checked in both IE7 and Firefox and both come up with old pop up image and waited for page to load fully before trying it)

the ones in the mod named "custom_template" need to be renamed to match your custom template name as that is where those files have to go.
Yes, I renamed it this way but for some reason I'm still unable to get positive results. Any other suggestions?

well since I can't see it....the only thing I can think of is to very carefully verify that all of the lightbox mod files are where they are supposed to be....what I do sometimes using filezilla, I have the mod open in the left pane and the store directories open in the right and I make sure path for path I'm in the right place an move the files one by one.....tedious but if you take your time you know that its right when your done.......if your using firefox you can check easily to see if your loading the javascript for the lightbox mod.....if your are then you can check "view source" to see if the code for the display of the main product image is different from stock and has the lightbox version of code there.....if it doesn't then for some reason your not overrriding the template files correctly.....

This is a great mod, every works fine. Albeit temporarily though. I wondered if anybody has the same issue, or any recommendations?
It works great half the time, then reverts to normal behaviour i.e image enlargement on another page

Your page needs to load before it will work, if you click on the pic before it has finished loading, it will open on a new page. Thats the biggest draw back.Quote:

My cart works perfectly EXCEPT, when I add a new product, and try to view that products details, I get a page that has everything on it except the product details. In its place is the text:

Normally the mod works great and I can click on "larger image" and presto!
However, every so often the hot spot to click on is more like at the center of the image and, less frequently, at the top/left of the image.
Thought it might have to do with the size/orientation of the picture but I've pretty much eliminated that. I've also reloaded all the files too.
Minor annoyance though a few people might not hunt for the hot spot.
It is intermittent and doesn't appear to always happen on the same picture either so I just can't nail this one down.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't believe this is a script loading (time) issue either given my tests and attempts to figure this out.

barco57, think I might have confused you by not using the proper page name for the location of my problem. Not sure what to call it but..
When you see a FULL list by page of products in a category, that picture is a hot spot in its entirety and is not a problem.
Clicking on one of those listed items will take you to where the "problem" exists and that's on the page that lists a SINGLE product detail, description, etc..
Talking to myself again (isn't the first time!).
Took a look at some other sites and I see the hotspot on the individual products covers the full picture there too.
Looked closer at my issue and there is a thin bar hotspot at the top of the picture that shows the entire product description when you hover over it. Then there is hotspot on the "larger image" text but that product description is shortened.
Weird?
How do I control the position and size of the hotspot? Fooled around in the CSS but didn't make any useful changes.
Given how it is supposed to work this is more of an issue for my now. Any ideas?
Well I found A fix but I'm wondering if this is ok and/or if I'm going to "break" anything else on the site since it involves the H1 and H2 in the CSS
H1 and H2 were covering the portions of the picture and the hot spots on those portions of the picture so broke those two out and added a left margin:
h1, h2 {
margin: 0.3em 0;
margin-left: 4.5em;
}
h3, h4, h5, h6 {
margin: 0.3em 0;
}
Ok fix or am I screwing things up?
whats the url? There isn't a "hot spot" like there is for the image handler popup. the images on the product description page are href links making the complete image clickable

Yeah, figured I might be using the wrong terminology but figured my point would get across, meant the clickable area to get the larger picture.
As I said, got the pieces (again wrong term!) to stop overlapping and full image area (save for a few very wide shots) is clickable now. Just didn't know if H1 and H2 change would haunt me on some other page that I might not be aware of. Don't think so but always like to get that warm fuzzy feeling from the gang!

Ok, for those following behind me at some point. And FYI for barco57 who was kind enough to jump in.
Changing H1 and H2 in CSS for this fix did mess stuff up. Specifically Define Pages and some checkout stuff. It offset them to the right as you would expect.
Don't know much at all about CSS but with a little fooling around I ended up creating "h7" based on h1 in the main stylesheet and then edited /includes/templates/custom/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php
for the instances of h1 and h2, changing them to h7.
Format wasn't quite right but got it to look roughly the same with a couple more tweaks. Good, and needed, experience for me with CSS.
Believe me, I know this is super basic (though not to me!) but I know when I was first getting into Zen I would have liked to have found more posts that showed the final solution no matter how simple it is to people who know CSS, Zen, Php, whatever, so I always like to finish.
It is not recommended removing H1 (Level 1 Heading). There are many reasons for this. One, H1 is significant spider food. Second, browsers natively relate to H1-H6 header tag markup (global document structures). You may want to visit w3.org and w3schools.com for HTML/xHTML review. I am having a problem with the stylesheet. It causes my product title and description text to float over the product images in IE 6 and IE 7. The only way I found to remove this issue was to delete the line: filter:alpha(opacity=60);
However, when you close the lightbox image and go back to the product info page, the text is once again overlaying the image.

I am having a problem with a new install of Lightbox. I have the zencart 1.3.7 installed. The lightbox opens sometimes other times I get the image only on a page. Also if I click on next (when lightbox opens) it just loads and loads and doesn't show the next image.

Hi All, Very impressed with this contrib, I just sat down for a long session trying to install something similar and then stumbled upon this. However I am experiencing the same problem as 'aunrea'. The thumbnail image loads in the viewer, when the next image is clicked the script continuously looks like is loading an image. Any ideas on how to get this baby working? I would belive your problem is because it cant find the bigger picture. I'm just shooting in the dark here, cause I have no idea how your images is set up. make sure your image endings are correct (LRG, MED etc).

Fortunately worked for me, I thought it was annoying to organize in this fashion, but it ends up being tidier and clearer in the long run.

Your advice worked.
I looked over the preparing images FAQs again and realized that I had not put my large images in the large folder, consequently they were being picked up as additional images. So i moved them to the correct folder and all works smoothly.
I am actually setting up a site to sell/display photo's and am having trouble adding a css boarder around the images on the products info page. Whats happening: When I add the boarder style to the css, and enclose the image code in the <span> tags referencing the css, I get a box but it only covers a single line. The bottom & sides of the box is correct, located 5px from the edge of the image, however the top only goes up one text line, then cuts behind the image.
Could this be because the images are called with javascript? Anyone have a border around there products image on the products info page?
Any suggestions appreciated. And thanks again tatiana77 for pointing me in the right direction.

I'm using Zen Lightbox (Which I love by the way). It works great on all my images except those that I designate as document product types. When you click those images, it just opens on a new page which is what I was trying to avoid.
I'm trying to just set up a gallery using the document-general product types so it will just show the picture and not the add to cart links. Anyone know why the lightbox isn't working on those type files?

I'd like to build a new feature into it. I am setting up a photo gallery cart, and its very frustrating for users to go back to the main menu to select a new/prev product, and then view the image.
I'd like to provide a next/prev product link while lightbox is active. This would enable users to quickly slideshow/preview other products, without having to return to the product info page. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have and advice about the best way to go about it?

I am having this issue with the overlapping of the css horizontal menu when opening up an image with light box, tried reading thru post but no significant answer. The same thing happens with the "secured" side box, you can barely see it on the right of image.

Since part of the controversy and problem with this excellent mod is that it does not conform to the template over ride practice, how drastic would the rewrite be in order to make it fall under the complete template over ride structure? Granted it would not work if you switched back to the classic or default template but that may very wel be a reason that you do switch back templates is for troubleshooting purposes.
I have played with this mod enough now that I have finally given my 1.3.7 a bug and can't find it. Now when I click any product image it opens a new window full screen and displays the picture. This is the behavior I get now since I have removed all the files of the mod from my cart. Somehow I left either an extra file in the structure or a file was inadvertently modified.
Does anyone have a concise set of directions for adding this mod to a freshly installed 1.3.7 cart without IH2?

Hi Just installed IH2 to run alongside lightbox. I have a big problem where the images are showing up everywhere exzcept when you click on the specific product. All that is showing is the view large image text and product heading but no small picture.

I have Zencart 1.37 + Lightbox + Image Handle 2 + Scrolling Feature Product sideboxes. Everythign is fine except the scrolling Feature Product sidebox, the thumbnails for feature products seems to stick on the screen up and down and not scrolling...but the texts are scrolling

You might want to make sure you followed install instructions properly, it should work the first time out, at least mine did.

Doesnt work either, I ve checked other sites with additional images and they have them the same way as you, so not sure, maybe IH2 is a culprit.

Hello all, and thanks again for such a great mod! I've read through this whole thread and not found any proper answer to my question (forgive me if there was one, I probably diddn't see it cos I'm tired after reading 60 pages :sleepy:)
My lightbox is working with image handler on a current version of zencart. What I would like to do is have additional images be visible through the lightbox only, and not show up on the product page. I don't like how additional images look on the page so it would be great to have them working only through the lightbox. I'm sure it must be possible! I'm no programmer (I tried and failed to do it through css) so I'm hoping someone else has this figured out and doesn't mind sharing :smile:

I feel like I am going mad, though. I have been trying to do what you suggest for ages, I just can't see what I am getting wrong. Please bear in mind that I don't really understand what I'm doing and my idea of editing code is pretty much trial and error.
In the stylesheet css for my template I have got this:-
And yet it does not work. I've tried every variation I can think of, removing/putting in capitals, changing the punctuation, spelling and order, but obviously not the right one yet. Help! :dontgetitCode:/*Image Display*/
