Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
If I turn off One Page Checkout, it stops on fec_confirmation and waits for the confirm your order button to be pushed.
Am I wrong to understand that if one page checkout is turned on, the Checkout Confirmation alternate Text should be the only thing showing up on fec_confirmation page?

FEC seems to work fine with Ceon URL mod
If any one is interested, after a few false starts with FEC (all my fault), I was satisfied that it was working OK, I added in the Ceon URL mod and it seems to play nice so far.
The docs for FEC mention two other URL mods that FEC is supposed to be compatible with but doesn't mention the Ceon mod so I thought I'd post this in case anyone finds it useful.
If I run into any bad mojo between the two while I'm testing I'll follow up on it. But so far, no probs!

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I have followed the instructions for installing this script. Parts of it seem to be working, but when you try to checkout the payment options do not show up and neither do the shipping options. Can someone help. The website is www.customkickstandpads.com . Thanks!

Due to a problem with our versioning software, the entire templates folder was not exported and not included in the 1.4.0 package. 1.4.1 will be released this evening with the missing files.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
On numinix.com the Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart Version that is V1.4.2. Is this a new version or a mistake?
I was also wondering if there is a way to change this module so that it looks the set up that is on thelaughterstore website. It looks similar to this module with some nice addictions. It has it so that has a checkbox for returning customers and the default is set so that the customer does not create an account, but on the bottom they click a checkbox to create an account. When you check the boxes, it expanse to show the new fields.
Also, is there a way so that the checkbox for the shipping address that the default is that the shipping address is the same unless you click on the box to show the shipping fields if it different from the billing address?

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I just upgraded from FEC 1.28 to FEC 1.4.2. When a customer creates an account the welcome email has the text of "EMAIL_GREET_NONEEMAIL_WELCOME
EMAIL_TEXTEMAIL_CONTACTEMAIL_GV_CLOSURE
EMAIL_DISCLAIMER_NEW_CUSTOMER
"
Both text and HTML emails do correctly show the email spam disclaimer text.
I have tried replacing my custom create_account.php files with the ones in the mod to no avail. Looking at my email archive manager, I discovered that my site has not been sending the email welcome at all untill the upgrade. Suggestions?

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Hi, i was hoping you could help with a problem i cant find a solution to on the forum. On my Zen Cart store www.lovingoutdoors.co.uk when i put click BUY i am taken to the shopping cart contents. I then click Go to Checkout and see the delivery information page. The default postage setting is FREE but if i choose another, for example EU delivery which is £14.99, and then click "Continue Checkout" the order total has choosen the default p&P so is saying free. The customer may miss this and not make the change further down the page and so will expect the item to be delivered when really i will want some EU postage money paid.
Can you help?
Alternatively is there a way to skip over the Delivery Info page (1st page after "GO to Checkout" and just go straight to page 2 and 3 of 3?

There is a problem with your installation or a conflict with changes you've made to the core system. The shopping cart should be directing to the correct checkout page by default. A quick way to get around this would be to change all definition values for "FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING" to "checkout." Look in includes/filenames.php.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Hi
I have an IE6 bug that I don't seem to see a fix for.
When you buy anything and click on the process order button I get an "The page cannot be displayed" error. It is trying to load index.php?main_page=fec_confirmation
I have set up a clean install with zencart 1.3.8a and FEC 1.4.2 to show the problem. You can go to
https://www.yabyummy.com/test/learn/
and add anything to your cart. It works on all browsers I have tested except IE6. I would really like a fix since a lot of people still use IE6 and it is very scary to a customer to click the process order button and receive an error.
Please Help

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I was hoping to have Fast and Easy Checkout installed on my Zen Cart this morning by Numinix.
Since it will be 48 hours, I guess I need to do this myself.
fec: 1.4.2
ZenCart: 1.3.8
My understanding of the installation is
- Place all files in the "required_files" folder to the same location on my site (ignor "previous_sql_updates" since I have the latest versions)
- Copy and paste the "install.sql" text into ADMIN > TOOLS > INSTALL SQL PATCHES
- Make the change to application_top.php if I am using Magic SEO URLs
Is this right?
What about these files
- license.txt
- order_total_class_edit.txt
- update_1_4_3.sql
- uninstall.sql
Someone else set up this Zen Cart so I am not sure what MODs have been added. How do I check for Magic SEO URLs? Are there any other issues that I need to look out for?
Is there anything that I missed here?

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I have tried the steps listed above on a dummy Zen Cart and I am having an issue with entered fields not being recognized when checking out without an account.
This is pretty critical as I need to add this MOD to a Zen Cart that, by default, you checkout without an Account.

JBarrick,
Do you get error messages such as "Please enter a salution,etc.?"
If so, the problem is with the logging in feature of the mod. I had the same problem and could only fix it by adjusting the login file to take out a couple lines of code.
In this file: includes\templates\lindasdd\templates\tpl_login_default.php
Can you post the contents of the above file. I searched for the lines I took out, but can't find them because I had nothing to compare it to.
Keep in mind I am not the author, just a user who had a similar problem. Also, numinix has a forum on his website tht he monitors more often. www.numinix.com

Upload fec_css/ to your store root just like where it is in the package.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I installed the new version of fast and easy checkout on a site today.
I then decided to upgrade my old site.
Rather foolishly i decided to uninstall using the uninstall.sql file thinking i could easily use the install.sql file to get the new version up and running without using the update sql files as i was unsure if i needed to run just the latest update sql file or the last two as the version i was running was at least three updates old.
Now i have all the files in the correct folders but i cannot get the install sql to work and fast and easy checkout has gone from the admin section and i get this.
1062 Duplicate entry 'Permanent Account Holders Only' for key 2
in:
[INSERT INTO zen_query_builder ( query_id , query_category , query_name , query_description , query_string ) VALUES ( '', 'email,newsletters', 'Permanent Account Holders Only', 'Send email only to permanent account holders ', 'select customers_email_address, customers_firstname, customers_lastname from TABLE_CUSTOMERS where COWOA_account != 1 order by customers_lastname, customers_firstname, customers_email_address');]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
I tried looking in MyPHPAdmin but i'm unsure what search terms to use to get rid of all the old data so i can run the install sql again.
Can you help please.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I just tried to install the latest (1.4.4) version in a new Zencart installation (twice) and got a 1064 error when I ran the install.sql. Anybody install this version without a problem?
As long as I'm here, what am I supposed to do with update_1_4_4.sql? I tried running it after running install.sql, but got another error (don't remember the number, but it had to do with an element already existing).

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I have a customer who emailed me with the issue below, I cannot seem to duplicate this error on my computer or any others. Other customers also seem to have this issue. Can anyone find out what is going on here?
Customer email:
"I have been trying for 2 days to order a product from your website with no luck. I load it into my cart, click checkout without setting up an account, and fill in my name, address, phone #, etc then click "continue" but it gets locked up every time and I never get any further. I have ordered other products from other websites during the same time with no problem so it must be your site. Please let me know if you get the site working in the next couple days."
Like I said, I can't even duplicate the error, for us, we can go all the way to PayPal's Payment page with no errors. Is it something to do with her browser settings?
Site: www.~~~Beyon~~Lounge~~~.com Without the ~'s
Thanks

I just tried your site without an account and i got all the way through to PayPal. I tried using Firefox.
Perhaps your store has cookies required and they have security set high to disallow cookies ?
Ask them to clear their browser cache and try again.
I got through ok so i think it's not your store.

I installed it fine on a new store. You only run the install.sql if it's a brand new install and the update is intended for those updating from a previous version.
My issues are with my old store and i hope Numinix can offer advice on that as i wish to re-install the new module but my problems are documented above.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
OK, thanks, but I just tried for the third time, in a brand-new installation of Zencart, no changes except the latest security patch, and when I pasted the install.sql into the box, I got (for the third time) this:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'NULL, 'Checkout Without Account', 'FEC_NOACCOUNT_SWITCH', 'false', 'Activate Che' at line 1
in:
[(NULL, 'Checkout Without Account', 'FEC_NOACCOUNT_SWITCH', 'false', 'Activate Checkout Without an Account?', @configuration_group_id, 30, NOW(), NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),'), (NULL, 'Hide Email Options For No Account', 'FEC_NOACCOUNT_HIDEEMAIL', 'true', 'Hide "HTML/TEXT-Only" for checkout without account?', @configuration_group_id, 31, NOW(), NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),'), (NULL, 'Automatic LogOff for No Account', 'FEC_NOACCOUNT_LOGOFF', 'true', 'Automatically logoff customers without accounts?', @configuration_group_id, 32, NOW(), NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),'), INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, set_function, date_added) VALUES ('Telephone Number', 'ACCOUNT_TELEPHONE', 'true', 'Display telephone number field during account creation and with account information', '5', '8', 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'), ', now());]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields
I can't see what I might be doing wrong, and I'm not mySQL-friendly enough to know exactly what this means.

I fixed this by simply running my backup file. Then i upgraded to the latest SQL update and everything is now fine.
Good tip for everyone is always backup before making changes to your site. It can save your store much time and heartache.

I too would love to see how I can get the the shipping address hidden and "same billing shipping" to be checked by default instead the other way around.
I know how to make it checked yet it does not seem to hide the shipping address field.
Also for a future version maybe add the hide/show to the coupon code field too.
Even better would be AJAX for the shipping method and coupon to update the total without refreshing the page.
In any case this is a great mod.

Version 2.0 will use Ajax instead of page reloads. The checkbox being checked is a feature already included in the 1.4.x series. The latest version is 1.4.5.
If you run the uninstall.sql in hopes of running the install.sql, do not include the table alterations at the top of the install.sql file as these are not removed with the uninstall.sql.

I checked out the demo for version is 1.4.5. The checkbox for the shipping address does not change anything when it is unchecked.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Weird problem and some suggestions:
The problem: When FEC is on the site does not show warnings - if for example there was a problem prossesing a credit card it just go back to the payment page without saying anything. if you do the same with FEC turned off you see the warning that the card was declined. Any ideas?
Also I had a customer today that had a problem to complete the order (card kept being declined) although there was no problem charging her card with the same info on the authorized.net virtual terminal. It is actually not the first time it happen and no correlations between the cases either (different card types, browsers etc...). Does this sounds familiar to someone?
Now for the suggestions - the 1.4.5 version is really great and almost perfect as I said before (an was told the 2.0 version will have it) an AJAX to update the coupon and shipping info would make this one perfect. another this that would be great is if one could control the order of the fields from admin. For example if I want the shopping cart to be at the bottom near the payment info instead at the top. Another cool thing would be that if shipping billing is the same it will show only one field at step 2 with the check box "same shipping and billing just in case someone changed their mind. it will make the page a bit tidier.
All in all this is the best mod for zen cart.
Thanks

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I'm having the same problems...
No warnings or explanations that a credit card transaction has failed -- it just jumps back to the payment page with the credit card details blank.
Using the same details on eWAY's virtual terminal, the transaction is approved.
Also, for some reason, all pages of the FEC checkout are titled as 'Redeem Gift Certificate'. Any idea how to change it?
-
Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I have a wierd problem on here.
If you go through a transaction, the postage rate comes out normal.
For example. 2nd class rate.
If you go through another transaction without logging off and logging on, the postage rate comes out something totally different, for example as an airmail rate!
Any suggestions?
Thanks

When you had us install the module you were using a different template. Now that you've changed your template, you need to also move all of the modifications that were made during the install to the new template. Also, some files were found in the extra_definitions folder which are loaded site-wide. These files should be in the english folder and loaded only by the gv_redeem page.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
has anyone successfully integrated fec with jrox? It doesn't seem to matter where I put the code at, my checkout breaks.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Are you talking about Jrox affiliate program? Fec does not use the same files as Jrox. Integrate Jrox into the tpl_footer.php. Here is the link to the page to tell you how to Integrate Jrox into Zencart into Zencart. http://jam.jrox.com/docs/index.php?article=111

Jrox has a footer template override file: /includes/templates/custom/checkout_success/tpl_footer.php.

Ok, I guess this makes Three of us. I had never noticed this before until my customer advised me of his customers having checkout issues with the checkout looping.
Typically it is caused due to the shopper not entering the correct billing address and upon making that correction - the processing goes through.
I need an error message to indicate to them that is the issue so they can, on their own, make the correction without wondering what has happened or calling customer service.
I did a test with debug on and there is in fact an error message indicated, but not being displayed. I'm wondering if the bit of code from the original checkout for posting the error message was overlooked.
I'm going to check and see what I can find - if anyone can direct me to where I might look for that it would be a huge help.
Thanks
Ruth

yes, we know of the bug and have fixed it for most payment modules. But in a discussion with DrByte, the payment_error parameter is going to be deprecated in 2.0 and only messageStack will be used. Because of all the redirects FEC uses, the messageStack error is lost and so no error is displayed. Once we have a solution for modules like PayPal WPP, we will release the new version. The alternative is to have any returns to the checkout due to payment issues, to simply default back to the regular checkout_payment module. But we'd rather find a solution to keep customers in FEC and have the one click option.

In patching payment modules, it would have seem logical to patch those that are released as core to Zen-Cart first, as the Authorizenet module is just that, part of the core.
Also, I know that you do this as an accommodation and the contribution is freely distributed, and for that I'm very appreciative; however it might be a good idea in your notes for either installation or d/l to state as such this as a known bug and indicate processors that you are aware of that are not fully compatible. We have determined that this has cost my customer thousands of dollars in sales.
I'm not sure why, but I found that merely turning off the contribution does not fully return the system back to the original checkout as I am still not able to see the proper error message for this particular error (I did receive an error for a bad cc # in my testing). Apparently it will be necessary to completely remove the contribution from the system.
I'm going to see if I can find anyway to solve this as my customer truly loves your contribution and does not want the long version put back into place. If I'm fortunate enough to figure this out, I will post the solution here.
Thanks again for your effort, and please do not think that I'm being overly critical. I know how hard it was to get this to work as well as it does, as I personally, before your contribution was released under-took building such a modification and due to issues such as this gave up. (too many bugs). So I do appreciate your hard work and applaud you for it.:clap:
Thanks again!

Ruth
As of the latest version, there are no payment module issues.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
:eek: I upgraded to 1.4.6 and now the gift certificates won't work at all. It just refreshes the page adding or subtracting the GC amount each time but it won't go to confirmation. :cry: :shocking: I temporarily disabled it.
Before the upgrade they worked normally but I had an issue with $0 totals using coupons - it turns out it is a built in Zen Cart thing. Now the GC do not work.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

The exact error in IE is:

http://xxx/index.php?main_page=fec_confirmation.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
This seems to be an issue with document.createElement in IE6.
The solution for me was to grab the newest copy of FEC from Numinix website and replace:
/includes/modules/pages/fec_confirmation/jscript_jscssloader.js with the one from the new kit.
I thought I was running the newest version of FEC, but apparently not.
This seems to have fixed the IE6 issue.
Compare the files above for the diffs.

This bug was resolved in the 1.4.x series. The latest version is now 1.5.1, please upgrade and then report if the bug still exists.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I've checked this thread out and have been pleased with the mod overall... so thanks <<
There is just one thing I think which is the timeout issue which happens on only the first occasion of checking out on the shopping cart page - as you are probably aware going back and pressing the button again fixes it but doesn't look good to prospective customers who are in the all important phase of purchasing and might not bother after all.
So having searched this thread I am still not sure if there was a definitive outcome - let me know if there is a solution available.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Hey guys, I'm having an issue with the 'One Page Checkout':
The Problem occurs when I am at PayPal's payment screen. If I choose to 'Cancel and Return to site' it will take me to index.php?main_page=checkout_payment instead of index.php?main_page=checkout (which may confuse the customer)
This seems like an easy fix, but I can't seem to find where to edit the code?
-
Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
*UPDATE*
I fixed the issue by editing the /includes/modules/payment/paypal.php file where it had the 'cancel and return' redirects set to FILENAME_CHECKOUT_PAYMENT, I changed it to just FILENAME_CHECKOUT. There's two instances of it in the PayPal file.
I use PayPal Standard, if you use anything else, then just change the correct file.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I tried to post this to the forum on the Numnix site but it keeps timing out.

I tried upgrading to 1.5.1 with the same result.
I also had the issue with it hiding the payment method when the credit covers the total BUT it would kick back the error that a payment method must be chosen even though it wasn't required and none were visible. :shocking:
I am 99% sure the problem with the gift certificate adding and subtracting has to do with the rewards points section that is included in FEC because I had a similar issue when I first installed the store credit mod. Someone else posted in the SC forum that they had an issue with coupons and GC and posted the code they removed to fix that issue. I removed that part of the code from the store credit mod and everything works (except I can't get it to apply points to orders created before I installed it):
Code:
// BEGIN REWARDS POINTS
// if credit does not cover order total or isn't selected
if ($_SESSION['credit_covers'] != true) {
// check that a gift voucher isn't being used that is larger than the order
if ($_SESSION['cot_gv'] < $order->info['total']) {
$credit_covers = false;
}
}
// END REWARDS POINTS
if ($credit_covers) {
I would like to use this mod but I have a lot of GC out and they are just not working at all with FEC turned on.
If I comment that code out of FEC will FEC still work, are they necessary bits? Do you think that would fix the problem? I am almost afraid to try installing it again. I was up until 5AM trying to fix it last time. :cry: It is in these FEC files:
- includes/modules/pages/checkout/header_php.php
- includes/modules/pages/fec_confirmation/header_php.php
Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
Blessings,
Krisann

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
OMGoodness THAT FIXED IT! :clap::hug:
I commented out everything except the last line (if ($credit_covers) { ) in both files and now FEC works perfectly!

Hopefully that doesn't mess anything else up, lol. I'll be back if it does. :wink:

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Hi Guys, have just installed the latest version of fec but seem to be getting this error:
Redirection limit for this URL exceeded. Unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked.
I read about this in this thread but found no fix, is anyone able to help
-
Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Ok, it isn't 100% - store credit won't apply without choosing a payment method but right now very few customers have store credit so that will either have to be worked out or removed.
Oh, hmm brainstorm - what if it is being caused because it was a redundant code? I mean if I had left it in previously it would have been applied in three places. I will try adding it back into the file for the store credit mod and see if that fixes it without breaking FEC GC and report back. :smile:
-
Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
:oops:
Actually, I was wrong, it does work with it commented out I just had to click the refresh button in the Gift Certificate box to get the store credit to apply!
So if you are having trouble with FEC and GC, comment out that section in those two files even if you use the store credit mod. :smile:
See post 559 in this thread
Phew! I can move on to other things! :cool:
Now I just need a 'refresh' button for the store credit box. Anyone have any ideas on how to add that in? :frusty:

COWOA- 'Continue' button disappeared from Billing page
I have FEC with COWOA installed, along with ESL. I know for certain that the COWOA option worked fine for a while as a couple of customers used it and I myself tested it.
Today I just realized that the "Continue" button is missing from the Billing Information page! Everything else is there...the various fields...but then it's blank after the email field for "Contact details."
I see two CUSTOM files- ...templates/tpl_no_account_default and templates/tpl_modules_no_account, but don't see the originals to compare them to. Plus I'm not intimately familiar with PHP so I'm not even sure what to look for. I didn't make any major changes lately...the last was 3 weeks ago when I added the Sitemap XML module.
alexandergifts.ca ZC 1.38a.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Robbie

Re: COWOA- 'Continue' button disappeared from Billing page
I just did a test by filling out the Billing page and hitting Enter after typing the last character of an email address in the Contact Details field and I was properly taken to the next page of Shipping Address. (This Shipping Address page is the same for COWOA and Account Creation, right?)
So the page still functions, the problem is the missing "Continue" graphic. I searched a few files for it and don't see anything obviously wrong, though again I'm not a real programmer.

Have you tried changing some settings in your php.ini file?
What are your settings for these options set to?
max_execution_time = ?
max_input_time = ?
memory_limit = ?

Yes - file permissions allow for this.
Sorry but I put literally this into that file:
Code:

max_input_time = 90
.. and nothing has appeared to have changed on the version page of zen (containing the php info) - was this the right thing to do?

Re: COWOA- 'Continue' button disappeared from Billing page
Now it's back. I was playing around with the Newsletter option and just realized it was affecting two of the fields on this Billing page and the Continue button. I now have the option set to #2. It was 0 before and that was somehow causing the problem.
I know the warning that this may be in violation of regulations, but my site is set up that those who create an account agree to 2-3 emails a year (not really a newsletter). Otherwise, there is the COWOA option with no emails sent.

I am having this intermittent issue also. About one in four customers goes all the way through TO PayPal, clicks the authorize payment button and gets a blank page. They 'assume' the payment went through and the order was successful when in fact nothing happened. :frusty:
If the same customer goes back to the website and goes through the checkout process a second time the order goes through without any problem.
I do have the PayPal logs turned on and there are log files for these transactions but they don't seem to show any problems. It is almost like PayPal thinks the customer chose to abandon the transaction at the point of the blank page when in reality they did not. :no:
This has happened to at least four customers who have notified me and several others that it appears to have happened to but I have not yet been able to confirm it.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as what to look for or who might be able to help figure this out?
Thank you!

I believe the problem your having is a time out issue. You might need to up your max execution time and max input time.
Change it to something like.
max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 90

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Hi,
I've done what I now know was a big mistake..
I have upgraded from V1.30 to V1.5.1 and I ran the uninstall sql in error.
When I click from admin > Configuration > Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration, the page is blank no options at all.
I have tried running the install.sql and this did not get my options back.
Sadly I found that the database backup I had made did not backup correctly so I am stuck on how to fix this with out being able to load a backup of the mysql database.
I would be most grateful for any help you can give please on how to get the Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration restored so I can set things right.
Praying to hear from someone with advice / help on this soon
-
Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Try going back and doing a clean install of the 1.30 version - and start again. That's what I do when I blow things up.
Also, check with your hosting provider, they may have a backup of your db and can restore it for you. just be sure to back up your orders and customer's tables in the event you've had additions since the time of their last back up. Or maybe they could just give you a copy of the backup and you could pull out just that table you need from their copy and restore it.
I backup my customers each night around 2am - and then run a weeekly also - for just that reason. just a thought that might help.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I got things working again and here is what I did
1. Open uninstall.sql in notepad, copy the contents
2. In Zen admin click on Tools> Install SQL Patches
3. Paste in the query box and click send
4. Upload all of the FEC files to my host server
5. Open install.sql in notepad
6. Copy all the content AFTER the Alter Table instructions, so from INSERT onwards.
7. Paste in the query box of zen admin and click send
8. Open myPHPAdmin browse the Configuration_Group table
9. Note down the configuration ID number for Fast and Easy Checkout Configuration
10. Browse the Configuration table and update all instances of FEC to the id number noted in the step above.
This got me going and all fixed.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
currently i am using the FEC 1.5.3. It works great no errors at all. i was just wondering, when i enable "checkout without an account only", no one can login to the site via the login. if i uncheck it and use the COWOA users can still login, and have the option to sign up for an account at checkout, or not sign up. i would like to make it so they never have to sign up for an account, but can still login and/or create an account outside of the checkout. is this possible? Numinix?
thanks in advance

Sorry, this step was located in the Easy Sign-Up and Login documentation and needs to be added to the FEC documentation. This will be included in the next release which will be ready early next week.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
I'm using version 1.4.5 of this mod but it's not working with gift certificates and discount codes. The problems that I am experiencing are as follows:
1. When customer pays by Paypal while using gift certificate for partial payment and/or discount code, the Paypal payment is processed but the order is not completed so I have to contact the customer to find out what they ordered.
2. When customer pays by credit card while using gift certificate for partial payment and/or discount code, their card is charged the full amount and the gift certificate and/or discount code amount is ignored even though the calculation is done correctly on the invoice in Zen Cart.
Is there a fix for these issues in a later version of FEC? I've had to switch it off for now because I use a lot of GCs and DCs on my site.
Thanks.

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Just installed v1.5.1 on zen v1.3.7, it seems to be ok apart from previous orders not been shown in the admin.
I've noticed that there is a large amount of google checkout code in my current orders.php which is not present in the orders.php file supplied by this mod.
Any advice from anyone?
Thanks

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Hi all,
I've just installed this mod on zen cart 1.3.8a and have a problem with the breadcrumbs at the top of the page.
The first breadcrumb when checking out without an account is 'Billing Information'. I'd like to change this but can't figure out how to do it.
The remaining steps all have the breadcrumb 'Checkout'. I'd like to change each step to have a different breadcrumb.
Can you please tell me which files I need to change to do this?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart
Numinex,
Im hoping that you can help me with a problem I have been recently experiencing with your mod. We have used your mod for about 1-2 months now and its worked fine up to a few weeks ago. For some reason when you select something for the checkout screen like a different shipping charge the prices do not update and reflect the changes.
I figure out that it was a problem with the onclick not working; I have been trying to hunt down the JS problem but just cannot find it. I am hoping that someone here has experienced something like and can help. We had resorted to removing the one page checkout at one point but have re-added it back to the website.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:frusty:
