SUCCESS!
Everything is OK now.
I uncommented the Load mod_rewrite in httpd.conf following instructions here:

Thanks, yellow.

I am testing locally so no URL however I seem to have now got this working - if I make the extension blank in the admin> config settings.
If I try to add any ending eg .html it stops working and only deliveres the index page.
Is there a fix. I can of course leve it bank but there is no .extension on the URL.
Thanks
Michael
I will look into this issue tomorrow.

Okie, dont add .html, add html only
See demo:

Me again, still battling errors.
When I click on a category I get a URL like this:
http://www.example.com/ladywig/cSSU_ID_DELIMITER5
and a redirect to my error page.
Numbers at the end of the URL vary.
I followed all instructions in yellow's last post, including setting all AllowOverride All.
This was encountered by someone else, maybe I should put this in the readme:
Reset the cache and it will fix itself
I need an UNINSTALL for this mod. I installed it back in 2007. It has never worked right for me. And now I believe it is interfering with some other mods working correctly. How can I completely uninstall this mod? I have removed all of the files, but it still appears in the admin. Thanks.
btw - I am using ZC version 1.3.8
I've just installed SSU on a fresh install.
ZC - 1.3.8a, SSU - beta 2.1, Module manager
I've used SSU plenty of times before but not this version.
I know I have installed everything as I have been over all the files 3 times.
2 problems.
Firstly - When I access ssu.php under Extras > SSU manager I get this error:
Error Failed: 1
Error ERROR: Cannot create table module_version_tracker because it already exists
Warning Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.
Error Failed to set up version tracker table
Is this something to worry about (it's an error so yes!) and how can I remove this?
Second problem:
I'm using a fake home.html page for now until the store is ready.
When I try to access index.php I get sent back to the main URL - domain.com/index.php redirects to domain.com
I have set up index in the exclude list and DirectoryIndex in the htaccess.
Cheers.
