Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

Hey guys,

I'm using the ZenCart v1.3.9 and ImageHandler2 v2.0. I have around active 2290 products, most of them (some 90% - 95%) working and showing up perfectly. But there is a certain number of products that just doesn't show up when the ImageHandler is installed.

It's like when you open the category and all the products lists. You click on a specific product but the browser just shows the empty blank (white) page. When I turn off the ImageHandler2 it shows up perfectly. I tried removing the image, uploading it again, but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

There's a number of reasons why this may happen but without a link to the specific product(s) where this occurs we can only lob guesses back at you **LOL**.. One common issue with product pages not displaying consistently (works for some products but not other) can be traced back to product names (particularly when the product names include non-numeric characters). The usual culprits her are single and double quotations in the product names..

Hi all!

Firstly I want to thank the author of IH for the great labour that are doing in zen-cart community. Thanks a lot and go on, you're gonna get far working on this way!

My problem is that few days ago I moved my zen-cart from my old shared hosting to a new dedicated one, all things were coming easy and my website seemed to be working fine until I noticed that some products was not showing their additional images. It doesn't happen to all products (that's the oddest thing), only to products that have more than 3 additional images. I checked permissions, missing files, configuration, etc... and I have been unable to fix this. Desperately I removed all the zen-cart installation from the new hosting and tried to copy from the old one, but it doesn't work yet.

This problem is driving me crazy and I don't find the way to fix it. Has someone had the same problem? I tried to reset the IH cache but that worsened the situation, the categories didn't showed any of the products and that required me to move all the files to the site again.

I'll be pleasent for any tip that can solve the problem.

What version of IH2 are you running?? What version of Zen Cart (new version of IH2 have NOT been tested with older versions of Zen Cart) Perhaps an upgrade might solve your issues.. Suggest running the IH2 uninstall.. Upgrading and then re-install..

Shouldn't that be non-alphanumeric characters?


If it was working fine before the server shift, then have you tried completely reinstalling image handler, as in reuploading the image handler files, and making sure the permissions on the bmz_cache are set correctly

also are there any useful error messages in your /cache folder (this folder is in the root folder of your store)

so that would be

also if you disable your url rewriting mod does imagehandler work? as there can be clashes between IH and some URL rewriting mods, if they are not properly integrated

My zen-cart version was 1.3.9a when I moved to the new hosting, but I made an upgrade to 1.3.9g today and my problem persists. I also upgraded the IH (although I think I was in the last version) with no changes apparently.

After clearing the IH cache I had no longer access to some categories and when I disabled IH everything worked fine again. Also note that I can't modify/delete images from conflictive products because they don't show in IH cpanel. I attach two images from IH panel which shows the issue:

I think the problem may be caused from a file with a "ñ" character in its name because of the charset configuration between servers. I deleted the file and others with problematics characters in its name from the images folder with no changes apparently. I think that finally I'm going to erase all the images and re-upload them again. What's the best way to do this? Delete directly from images folder and upload again from control panel?

Ok, I have deleted the images from conflictive products and the website start working well but when I uploaded a new image (with different name) for each product some categories stopped working again.

Yesterday I was doing some tests and I detected two problems related with IH, so I post them hoping developer that could consider in newest versions.

- The problem with images was because of big files uploading. Generally I don't take much care about of the size of the file, but yesterday I noticed that conflictive products has images > 1Mb so I tried to delete them and upload after resizing to 900x400, and I got working! I can't explain why big files was working on shared hosting and does not on a dedicated one, but I uploaded smaller images and that finally fixed my problem.

- On the other hand I detected a conflict with ceon uri maps plugin (I detected since upgrade to zc 1.3.9g, don't know if bug exist in previous versions) that makes the cart don't working. This happens when installing/reinstalling IH after the ceon uri maps plugin, if you try to add products to cart it shows a message "Cart emtpy". I simply downloaded again the ceon uri maps plugin and reuploaded the core files for my zen-cart version. And it worked! I had the same trouble twice and I can confirm that doing that way I solved my prolem.

i copied the files over to the server with cyberduck

i think i have way to many files all mixed up.

i don't really know where to put the files? i dont have a zen cart folder. i think i renamed it.

anyway the image handler 2 option does not appear in the tools menu in my admin area.

does any of this make sense?

Not for nothing, but there is a VERY extensive readme which covers how to install IH2.. Have you read the IH2 readme file??

I suggest starting by undoing whatever it is that you have done, and then following the installation instructions in the readme file to install IH2.

It sounds to me as if the issue you had is more likely related to a server setting that is different in your shared host versus your dedicated host..

IH2 already is written to cover the most common server setups, and without knowing SPECIFICALLY what issue in your server setting was causing the issue it would be hard to nail down what changes to "consider" may (or may not) be needed.. Also as the issues you reported appear to be one off issue (not previously reported), unless others report similar issues, I'm not sure what could have been done/considered in any future release to mitigate your issue..

Lastly with regards to your image sizes, re-sizing them sounds like a good idea as a matter of practice since your images are far larger than what is generally recommended for websites anyway.. 1mb is a pretty BIG image size to use on ANY website, and in practice this would not lend itself to an optimized webpage. (which is PRECISELY what IH2 is meant to help improve)

Aside from the fact that issues with another module SHOULD be reported in the proper support thread for that module, your specific issue with Ceon URI has LITTLE to do with IH2.. These two mods share NO common files, and there isn't any reason other than just sheer coincidence that you would have issues with one or the other after an install.. Plainly put, there IS NO conflict between these two mods. (you can confirm with Conor in the Ceon URI support thread if you need more information).

ok, i will try taking eveything off again. i did read the instructions quite a few times and tryed uploading the folders to couple different places. i just signed up recently and i'm using host monster. is there anything i might be missing? i feel like i just missed something completly obvious. but i can seem to see it?

Follow the instructions in the readme and upload the files as directed.. I don't know what you are missing unless you do not understand the instructions.. If any part of it is not clear it would help to know WHAT isn't clear for you..

Contents = The files and folders INSIDE the Store_Root folder

If you are uploading the Store_Root folder to your store root, then this might be why it doesn't seem to work..

Again.. I don't know what you've done (because I can't see your store files) so you will have to provide some details on WHAT you did, so it can be determined HOW to fix it..

To my knowledge, IH2 does impose any limits on the number of additional images allowed. As far as I know there are no limits that Zen Cart imposes on this either.. It sounds as if one of two things is happening:

• IH2 is installed incorrectly
• Another module which modifies the same files used in IH2 may be causing an issue for you..

Do you have any idea of what plugins that would modify the same files that IH2. The only thing that i have the i can think of is the Zen Lightbox addon. Its weird because when i view the page using Firebug, it shows that images are being displayed in code, ,what it seems to me is that the area where additional images are displayed is cutting off the additional images. do you know where that can be changed.

Over a 1000 add-ons available here.. of those 1000+ add-ons, I can only speak of the ones I have ACTUALLY used.. All that to say I can't really answer this.. YOU can tell us what mods you have made versus me trying to GUESS "what cha got"..:laugh:

There's a WHOLE host of things it could be.. You have a number of javascripts and other mods on your site and ANY one of them could be leading to the conflict.. Unfortunately if it is one of your other scripts causing the issue I'm not sure I will be able to help you resolve the specific issue it may be causing.. I can make suggestions to turn things on or off to see if the behavior you describe changes to narrow down the culprit..

I upgrade to d version of IH and i have some issue with aditional image. When I click to large version of image pop up just crash.
When i go over with mouse to aditional image i see that it have wrong linking and goes like this main image something.jpg and aditional something_1_LRG.jpg

Some information would be useful..

• Link to your site
• Version of Zen Cart you are running
• Version of IH2 you converted from
• Other mods you are running (inclduing the version numbers)

I am using ZenCart version 1.3.9g, Patch 1.
The site was upgraded from 1.3.9a.
The only addon I'm aware of is Image Handler 2.
The site uses a template.
I have searched and trolled the FAQs, Tutorials and Forums for hours.
The problem began when I started maintaining my customer's site.
Transactions are working fine and the store is live.


I've read the documentation that comes with the Image Handler 2 zip file and some things I found on the web.

Is it correct that the large version of the image is not modified by Image Handler, only the medium and small?

I'm seeing something strange. If there is an image for a product which is 600 x 600 px, when you click "Larger Image" on the product detail page, it displays at 600 x 600 px. However, in Admin - Tools - Image Handler2, the large size says it should be 550 x 550 px. The small and medium images display at the sizes shown in Image Handler.

How is the large size determined? How does Image Handler take an image that is 600 x 600 px and decide it should be 550 x 550 px? And why isn't is showing up that way when you click "Larger Image"?

just wondering...what happens if you have a normal sized image larger than 600x600...does it display them at 550 or 600

go to the description page and click the image---then rightclick to view image and it will give you the url in the location bar with the size it is displaying also.

mine are 900+ at times and the IH2 shoots the image to what I have mine set to see about 725.

I would also add the "h" update to the store too just to be current.

It displays the large images at their original size. For example, if the image is 1200 x 1200 px, it displays it as 1200 x 1200 px, even if Image Handler says it should be 550 x 550 px.

I've also noticed that different product categories have different large image dimensions in Image Handler 2 Admin. That's why I'd like to know how IH determines the large or normal image size.

Images sizes (as the readme explains) are determined by your settings in Configuration > Images. Knowing what those settings are is actually a LOT more useful to help determine IF there is an issue..

In Image Hanlder, the large size reads 600 x 116. When you click on "Larger Image" on the product detail page the size of the image is 1423 x 277.

So, my question is where does the dimension 600 x 116 come from? How does Image Handler determine that dimension?

My goal is to understand the IH software and fix the over-large product image displays.

Otherwise, I'll have to search through the code and I thought the forum might be faster.

You are free to step into the code, but I think your issue is much simpler.. Your large images are NOT being handled/processed by IH2 on the FRONT-END.. That is indicative of an incomplete install.. The settings are there, and the admin shows the sizes that IH2 has resized your images to.. What is NOT happening is that the front-end is not displaying the images from bmz_cache for your large images.. It is instead showing the original image. (which is why it's bigger)

Check your install files.. Make sure all the store-side files are in place...

Click on the "Larger Image" link for the main product pic. Note that the URL for the image is within the bmz_cache folder.

Note that this image is not being called from bmz_cache at all.

IH2 creates optimized and resized (based on your settings) images for the small, medium and large images and stores them in the bmz_cache folder. If viewing the source of your store's product images you see that ANY of them are coming from the default image location, this is indicative of an incomplete install..

Installed image handler on 1.3.9h, and now my categories are not showing in the in admin area. everything seem fine on the frontend. www.dealportus.com

did you merge any files that were named the same that zencart had with the ones from IH?

Individual files are being automatically set to 777. My host is "on the ball" and constantly does routine security checks of accounts and advises me of these "vulnerabilities". They recommend using 755 for the cache files.

Periodically I am forced to set the file permissions to 644 for newly created image files (prefer 644 for files instead of 755) by FTP.

Is there any way that IH2 automatically sets permissions for files within the cache subfolders to 644?

Did the "delete all bmz_cache subfolders" trick which re-creates new subfolders with perms 755 but again sets perms for image files within these folders to 777 ... :frusty::frusty:

This sets permissions to 644 to every jpg file within any sub folder of bmz_cache


Tested its functionality by deleting the last 6 folders a-f within bmz_cache and then surfed the site with a clean browser cache. FTP'd back into the file system and voila: new folders are created with 755 and all new jpg's within are 644 :clap:

Were you upgrading from an older version of IH2??

Yep, me too - but meanwhile the cron tab fixed the issue - until I find the culprit.

I am usually very careful when it comes to installing or upgrading mods. So yes, I did just that: using WinMerge I double checked my install against the files in the upgrade version(s). Result: all good (so it seems....)

Off the top of my head I do not remember.. (not in a position to look right now) The readme has the changelog.. (also the Zen Cart downloads has the changelog data) Should tell you which version this was modified..

But I don't know why the files and folder in your bmz_cache would explicitly set to 777.. The files and folders inside the bmz_cache folders should inherit their permissions from the parent folder (bmz_cache)

Just installed IH2 and had a few questions that I couldn't find answers to.

I create sub-directories for each product type I have so that no one directory has too many files and also it's easier to work with when I have to search using ftp. FTP generally have a limit of 2000 files for displaying. My suppliers sometimes use the same image name for both large and small images but seperate them in directories for large and small.
Example: images/wrappers
images/wrappers/small
images/wrappers/large

Since I am working with over 10K items this seems to keep me from going insane.

Question:
1. Does IM2 recreate the images again in one directory?
2. Does IM2 create a large disk usage with duplicate images
create from the originals?
3. Does the current directory structure fit with IM2?

Just to clarify: the folders are not the problem. They are correctly being set at 755. One built-in extra function takes care of that

For most users of this mod IH2 sets the bmz_cache folders to 775, and inheritance takes care of the contents of the files and folders within bmz_cache.. But if this is not what you want (because you want different permissions for the contents of bmz_cache), then your cron routine sounds like it will do the trick..

I'm confused!
It seems that I am duplicating files on the server by creating my own directories with images in them. Please correct my logic below.

Most of my products have a different Large and small images which are stored by product type and size.
placecards/small/image.jpg
placecards/large/image.jpg

When I create the item I define the default image in ZC with it's directory. ex. placecards/small/image.jpg

This then creates the rendered image for the 3 sizes in IH2
I then edit the large image in IH2 to replace the small image to the correct large one. But it only allows for an upload of an image on my computer and not from the server. This in turn upload the image to it's own folder. thus just adding files into one IH2 directory. So based on this I am duplicating the files on the server.
placecards/large/image.jpg is never used since IH2 requires to upload into it's own directory.

So from what I can see, other than the default image there is really no way of organizing images in a useful manner with IH2.
And there is no easy way of editing more than one item at a time to change images as I have to with the different large images per item.

Is this correct?

I also cannot find where the IH2 item images are defined in the database. As I was hoping to maybe sql the changes needed for the large images.

I'm not sure that you understand in full how IH2 works..

You do not need to create small, or medium images.. Upload the large image and IH2 takes care of generating the required small and medium images (based on your image size setting in Configuration > Images)

Simply put here's how IH2 works..

• Set your image settings (see the readme for instructions)
• Using either the IH2 interface or the product management interface, upload the product LARGE image.
• IH2 will take care of creating the small and medium images.

IH2 also takes care to properly name images to follow Zen Cart's required naming convention for additional product images. This means then when you upload additional images you do not have to worry about properly naming them, IH2 will take casre of it when you upload the image..

IH2 CANNOT work without the "images" directory. It's not as you put it simply a matter of IH2 uploading files in it's own directory.. The purpose of the IH2 cache directory is to help with image performance by caching the images in order to improve page load performance. To create this cache, IH2 must get the image information form the original "source" In this case it's the images directory (and it's sub-directories)

Are you referring to the bmz_cache directory?? Ummmmmm WHY would you want to "organize" them.. You don't need to "organize" these folders at all.. You can "organize" your images folder which will have NO BEARING on IH2s ability to manage and cache your images..

That's great if you only have one image that you'd like to display for the item in all the sizes. In my case I have different images for small vs large. The expanded explanation makes things a little clear (thank you) Clearly your store setup is a UNIQUE situation.

The majority of shopowners who use IH2 are using the default Zen Cart image setup/management, and use IH2 to make the work of managing product images easier. This means that they upload the large image as the default image, and let Zen Cart/IH2 take care of creating the product image thumbnails (small image) for them.

The image setup for your store is different than the "average" shopwowner. If you wanted to use IH2 so that the small medium and large images are three distinct image files, in the IH2 interface you would edit the image and upload your small/thumbnail image as your default image then upload your medium image, and then upload your large image. This the only way that IH2 will use different images for each image size.

I have not looked at the code in depth to know all the places in IH2 you will need to modify to make it work the way you want. I do suspect that it will require somewhat of a hefty re-write to nearly all of the function and store files in IH2 to achieve the functionality you are trying to accomplish. I wish I could provide more information than that..:unsure:

Wanted to quote this particular section of the FAQ.. I think it's relevant.. Most of IH2's functionality is meant to replace the need to do this work.. It will manage and/or create the three required product image sizes which eliminates the needs for shopowners to create these images themselves..

Any decent image-editing application will have some system for batch-processing (carrying out the same actions on multiple files).

NOTE: the basic "images" (thumbnails, normal-size images) should be uploaded via admin in the usual way via the product-edit screen, and then FTP should be used for uploading your _MED and _LRG images, as mentioned in the preceding paragraph.

New problem?? or has this always been an issue.. Would be VERY helpful to know which version of IH2 you are using.. Changes between versions can be a bit substantial..

I installed the module months ago but am just now turning it on. The version is IH2.0 Rev. 7.

You could try replacing the imagehandler javascript file, with the one from the new version, as the old JS file had issues with browsers that aren't Internet explorer or firefox, it won't fix your problem but it should make the site work better for Safari, Opera and Chrome users.

Did you combine the files yourself? or were they part of the template you purchased?

You have some sort of javascript minifiying script what happens when you turn that off?

The JS file works fine with Chrome, I haven't had a chance to load Safari on this machine yet. Turning off CSS/JS Loader did not help.

Most problems with installs can usually be traced to incorrect installs.. There are TWO YOUR_TEMPLATE folders in the includes directory which need to be renamed.. Make sure you have renamed them both.. One is in the includes/modules and the other in includes/templates.. I suspect you missed renaming one or both of these which is likely the root of your issues..

With that I'm back to my X-Mas celebrating..

HI... I am new to Zen Cart, but seem to be getting on ok. I loaded up the files after correctly changing the template pages names, and the name of my admin. It does not appear that the IH has installed.

In reading the trouble shooting area of readme file.. I am not sure how or where to change the permissions in the two locations provided:
Set permissions in your images and bmz_cache folder to 755 (they need to be the same, for some webhosts you may have to set these permissions to 777).

When I look at a product in admin, I do see the pink circle with the "I" in it.

Just not sure what to do at this point... I would sure like to try it... I have only loaded one product in, and trying to get all straight before continuing.

If there was a javascript issue with Image Handler, the image hover would not work.. The Image Handler javascript's only job is to manage the image hover effects.

The issue you are having is with the main product image popup which uses and inline javascript to function. So no, I do not think there is a javascript conflict. However IF there is one (which again I do not think is the case), the author of the Google Analytics module might be in a better position to know if this is the case.

The additional product images and main product images have module overrides in the Image Handler fileset which manage those two functions. Your setup doesn't appear to have all the required IH2 code for the main product images. It appears that Image Handler is NOT managing your main product images. A look at your store still shows the default Zen Cart image URL for your main product image.

Blank pages or part blank pages usually indicates an incorrect install.

If you are using the latest version of Zen Cart error checking is built in and you will need to post the contents of the error log file that is generated when you attempt to access IH2 and get the blank page. (error logs can be found in your cache folder)

Every webhosts site management tools are different, and so we cannot provide more specific instructions on changing file/folder permissions. If you do not know how to set file permissions on your site, you'll need to have your webhost guide you through how to do this. Most webhosts have FAQs which may help guide you through this..

Please re-read the instructions for using the error logging tool again.. If you are using is correctly your store will generate an error log file. For Zen Cart v1.3.9 this is built in and the log files will be found in your store's cache folder.. (log files will be generated whenever the store kicks off an error - like when you get a blank page) Need to know what this error message is to know why you are getting the blank page when you click the IH2 install link.. In case it's not clear (and the FAQ for the error logging tool does cover this) the error message is IN THE LOG FILE...

For some reason... I am just not seeing any error files - none were generated.... I have seen them before in the cache folder... not this time... SO...

I took the advice of your posts, re-read tutorial... re-downloaded the program... re FTP up, and I clicked on install... viola.. there it is... installed.

Now I will try it out... I just hope I can have my images in different folders... we have 2500 products, so I do a dir for every manufacturer.

I hope I do not have to rename them all... i have a normal .jpg for large, and a _sm.jpg for small.

As I often state, issues with installs are GENERALLY caused by erroneous installs.. Whether that's because a file was missed, a folder was not properly renamed, or corrupted in a download or FTP upload.. It always goes BACK to the install.. **sigh**

Good luck.. PLEASE read the readme file and this support thread to figure out the BEST way to configure IH2 to convert your existing images.. Many of the most commonly asked questions are indeed covered here and in the readme..

So I popped over to the Simple Google Analytics thread.. seems the blank pop-up IS indeed a Simple Google Analytics error and NOT an issue with IH2 at all.. (and for the record it will probably be an issue with ALL pop-ups, not just the image pop-ups)

This is why it always pays to checkout support threads for all mods involved.. Should you get a blank page error like this in the future, posting the contents of the error logs in your cache folders will be a HUGE help as to the true source of the issue....

Hopefully this pop-up issue will be worked out soon by the Simple Google Analytics author.. (he's super nice so I'm sure he will:smile:)

I have IH2 2.0 Rev 8d and zen light box installed on zencart 1.3.9d.

The main image still works with lightbox but the additional images are not working with lightbox anymore. Is that normal? Is there a way to get the additional images to work with lightbox again?

Hi, My IH2 seems to be working just fine... I just am trying to find out how to easily have two images with correct names. I have a front and back image for each DVD or CD.


After I load up image-front up... when I add second images (image-back), it becomes "image-Back-front-01"

So I thought I would just get rid of front and back image names, and do image-01 for front and image-02 for the back... so I renamed them, and reloaded them...

I got image-01, and then image-01-02.

I normally have 4 images for products - front.jpg, front_sm.jp, and the backs as well.

Also, I cannot seem to load images from live server where they are, I have to grab them from my harddrive.. it would be nice to just point to them.

Can someone direct me to any aritcles or help with this sort of thing please.

Also, as a side note...

I would really like to just have the front and back image show up to the left of the product, as well as down at the bottom....

You likely overwrote the files that the lightbox contribution and IH2 both modify with the one from the lightbox contribution effectively replacing the IH2 changes with ONLY the lightbox changes.

You will need to find those common files and using a file merging program (like Winmerge or Beyond Compare) and merge the changes required for both mods into one file and upload them..

I think you may not fully be understanding how Zen Cart and IH2 works to create additional product images. In short what you describe is EXACTLY how IH2 and Zen Cart work to manage additional prodct images.

Yep.....thanks......I got it. IH2 modifies 3 core files which lightbox didn't touch but I wasn't checking for an over ride file.

Hi, we've migrated to a new server and Im having some issues with IH2.

Its working fine except that any new image i upload for a product does two things;

- it wont watermark the image
- the hover image is full size (i.e; 700 x 700 pixels, the largest size image we have)

This is only happening on NEW images, all of the older IH2 images work fine.

I checked the permissions on the bmz_cache directory, the folders are all 755, but the files are weird; some are 666 and some are 644

Could it be a permissions issue that is stopping IH2 from either caching, creating or watermarking the new image?

When does compression occur for large images? My uploaded large image is not compressed during uploaded, nor is it stored w/ compression. I am not sure if it is served with compression, because I can't get image properties out of the lightbox, but I'm just wondering then, when are the large images ever compressed according to the large image compression setting for IH. thank you.

Images are compressed when they are written to the image cache.. Your original images stay intact..

We need the usual compliment of information that we always ask for here..

• Link to your site (specifically links DIRECTLY to the products which work correctly and links to the ones that don't)
• What are you image settings??

You are misunderstanding what Diva is saying, Large images are compressed when they are copied to the image handler cache and this compressed large image is what is normally served, (unless you have cocked something up, or you are using lightbox, slimbox, fualbox, choclate box and havent merged the files correctly).

Note the word Copied in red above
The large image you upload is not touched by image handler except to make a copy of it and compress that copy and store that copy in the image handler cache.

Your original Large image is left untouched so that, at some stage in the future, if you change your watermark or the size you want the large image to display at you can just upload the new water mark set the new sizes for images, clear the image handler cache, and your new images will work straight away.

If image handler did actually overwrite your original image, you would have to reupload all the product images on your site, whenever your branding (and watermark) changes.

A link to your site to see what the issue is might help


Also what happens when you right click on the large image lightbox gives you does it tell you the name of the image (never used lightbox, slimbox etc)

I don't have a problem or anything with my site, I just was curious because I couldn't see that the large image being served was compressed in any way .. but I use lightbox and right-clicking on the large lightbox image does not give a menu that allows me to see the size, so perhaps that large image being served via lightbox is getting compressed .. I just can't tell one way or the other.

The large image viewable in the IH admin area must be the native image (I'm guessing), or an uncompressed copy, because it is full native-image size. The only problem would be if that image is a copy, because according to what you said, it should be compressed to my 85% setting (in that case), but it's full size, so I'm guessing it must just be the native original. That's fine, maybe we see large native in IH admin, but lightbox serves compressed large ..

Maybe the large lightbox image is 85% compressed .. I just can't tell because it does not give a contextual right-click menu.

You see that the image displayed in the page is coming from image handlers cache, but the one in the lightbox link is the original image, there are instruction somewhere on how to successfully merge the files, i am sure Diva who has (I think) successfuly merged these files will be able to tell you where they are

It's not critical right now, but very good to know that lightbox files need merged w/ IH in order to compress served large image. Very good to know. Actually you may want to query that on the lightbox support thread, as the version available here is an older version

There is apparently a newer version and they were discussing IH2 lightbox compatibility about a week ago on this thread here

I need help with IH2 as some of the catagories will show the extra images on my site but other will not. The picture upload without problems and I can see them in admin they just dont show up on the online catalog.

I just tested both of those pages and the larger image opened for both of them. I'm not a great expert with IH, so I don't want to give you bad advice, but I would clear the IH cache and the browser cache for starters, though, as it seems to be something specific to your computer that might be causing one to not open for you.

Hi Diva, all of the following products work; http://www.crushcosmetics.com.au/eyes/eyeshadow - until you scroll down to the "Wet N Wild Colour Icon Eyeshadow Single" product - this one was added AFTER our server migration. As mentioned previously, the issue i have is the size of the mouseover image (for new products only), and the fact they are not watermarked. All products created prior to our server migration work fine.

Hello everyone! I need help. For some reason the main pictures(on the product description pages) do not show up on Internet Explorer.

Another thing is the additional pictures will open up into a blank page instead of having the fual slimbox effect. Both of these are issues with Internet Explorer. Any ideas?

First off clear your cache.. and before you ask will this hurt anything the answer is NO IH2 will recreate your cache.. Secondly your water mark settings are all set to NOT watermark.. So try changing those settings, clear your browser cache and see if that resolves things..

Zen 1.3.9 h
Came across an issue and curious how to go about fixing.
when adding products of similar names such as
31001FRW
31001FR

the later one to be added image handler auto-populates the product with the first product images and if I remove the images from the second product it removes it from the first.

These are in two different categories and each consist of 4 images each but are different images.

As I am filling in thousands of products Im bound to run into this more and more often. Any help is deeply appreciated.

Thanks for the kind words Diva. We certainly went to a lot of trouble with this site, even taking our own product photos in a lightbox.

My problem is fixed. i had to change the write permissions for the bmz-cache directory, plus all subdirectories and files.
