Re: Sheffield Blue Template Support Thread
I don't know where the issue has been addressed but I was told to find it here. I have searched the thread and not found the why. Please give me a bread crumb to the answer...
I can see my description in the Product List: http://ostomytoilet.com/index.php?ma...=index&cPath=1
But no joy in product info page: http://ostomytoilet.com/index.php?ma...&products_id=3
I messed it up somehow and I don't want to reinstall again. Probably just some switch. Anyone know why?
Dedicated IP on my OLM Server Host: ostomytoilet.com 69.94.104.185
PHP Version 5.4.21
Database Patch Level: 1.5.1
Zen Cart: v1.5.1 [2014-02-23 17:53:11] (New Installation)

Wrong thread... This thread is for the Sheffield Blue template. You have Responsive Sheffield Blue installed. Please see: http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...Sheffield-Blue

Yes, there is a patch posted in the Responsive Sheffield Blue thread to fix this problem.
Thanks,
Anne
Re: Sheffield Blue Template Support Thread
Hi Anne,
Sheffield Blue is the coolest Template I've seen. We looked far and wide over free and commercial templates. We use it at http://www.yourvirtualworld.tv . We want to replace the "Email Us" in the footer with a <a href="mailto:youremailaddress">Email Us</a> link instead. How do we do that? We had to disable the contact_us zen cart functionality because we get a flood of hackers from China who have been abusing it.

Acutally using a mailto link as you suggesting is the worst thing to do, why not install Google Recptcha to just the contact form page?
Re: Sheffield Blue Template Support Thread
Would this solve the problem of them using "http://ourwebsite/index.php?option=com_tag&controller=tag&task=add&article_id=-260479/**//*!union*//**//*!select*//**/concat(username,0x3a,password,0x3a,usertype)/**//*!from*//**/jos_users/**/&tmpl=component" where "ourwebsite" is the home page URL for the sake of our discussion? It appears they're skirting login and going straight for the PHP file(s) as well as username and password data. I'm not a coder but this doesn't look nice. Most are based in Beijing and Eastern Europe.
Re: Sheffield Blue Template Support Thread
As currently configured, they're not allowed to send mail unless they're registered and logged in so they're redirected to the login/register page. None of them have EVER registered or logged in...... but the "contact_us" links (/index.php?main_page=contact_us&action=send&zenid=*********) keep humming along. This problem has been posed in other parts of the forum but nobody has offered a workable solution to date.

I am happy that you like the template and use it for your live site ;)
Have you been banning the offending ips? There is no absolutely fool proof way of stopping spam, but you might consider removing the contact us form from the header drop down and installing the google recaptcha module for your contact us page.
If you want to replace the footer contact us link you will edit includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/sheffield_blue/footer_menu_defines.php
Code:
Define('CONTACT','<li><a href="mailto:your email address">' . BOX_INFORMATION_CONTACT . '</a></li>');
Thanks,
Anne
Re: Sheffield Blue Template Support Thread
Thanks again Anne. You're a sweetheart. I placed the following code in the email address to reduce spam harvesting of email addresses on the site. Replace the @ symbol with @ so that the email address would be yourname@company.com.
