I know you read through the thread to pull up those old posts you referenced.. but had you read on further you would have seen that IH2 was updated after those threads were posted..
I wanted to make sure that folks had the most accurate information which is why I posted the follow-up to your post..
Glad you are all updated now..

Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I recently registered in this forum and have been overwhelmed by the amount of support given to people here. Please here is my question:
I uploaded image handler2 to all the appropriate directories and also changed the three folders as directed in the installation guide. But to my amazement, it does not show in my admin tools to enable me run the installation. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it but the problem is persisting. I really do not know what I might be doing wrong.
I will appreciate it if someone can help me out on what might be causing it. My cart is 1.3.9h.

A link to your site would help.
if its not showing up in the admin, then that tends to suggest the admin files aren't there
just to be clear you have checked admin --> tools --> no image handler link appears at the bottom of this dropdown list
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Thanks for your response. I have checked several times and image handler is not there and i renamed the admin to my new admin name and uploaded everything. here is a link to my site: www.eztyn.com

1) ok its hard to tell anything from a one page site with no products
2) If you have uploaded everything, when i look at your source code, i would see the image_handler js and css files in their respective directories (these will show up no matter what), if these don't show up it means they aren't there, the should be a js file appearing here

Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Thanks Nigel74. This is also another of my sites: www.privatecorner.co.uk. Though I have not uploaded everything, there are enough product upload in it to triger image handler, but it is not appearing

Two things.. Just a suggestion.. When posting links to adult site, you should provide some kind of warning to folks.. If I was at work I would not like to be caught opening an adult content site even if the intent is to help:blush:.. (Just an FYI..)
Second.. As Nigel has said and I concur, you simply do not have IH2 installed correctly.. If you are not seeing it in the admin and WE don't see the front-end CSS or JS, this is an indication that IH is NOT installed correctly. (meaning your IH2 files are not in the right location)
If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that you uploaded the entire store_root folder from the IH2 fileset to your store root.. Thus is just not what the install instructions say to do.. It says after renaming the admin and template/override folders to match your store that you upload the CONTENTS of the store_root folder to your store root..
Double check the location of the files you uploaded.. make sure you've renamed all the admin and template/override folders as indicated in the readme correctly..
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Hi Divavocal, thanks for your response. It is really a mistake that I did not warn about the adult site. If you check my first post, I gave Nigel another url. I only gave the adult site because he said that it was hard to assess my site because there was not enough upload. However it is not an excuse because I have other sites I would have given.
I have to go back and check properly about the entire image handler2 upload especially with the override you mentioned now. I must be doing something wrongly.
Thanks. I will update you on how it goes.
