Re: Image Handler 2 Support
also found another bug.
i have 2 products added for testing in the moment
first have 3 jpg images: shirt, shirt_01 and shirt_03
to the second product im adding a new image called: shirt66.jpg.
i have it displayed ok for the second image, but when i go to check the first one i see that this new shirt66 image is also displayed in there! and it shouldnt be
i've checked also what happens when i add a new image shirt77.jpg to the first product, but in that case it is ok, new image is displayed only in first product not in the second.
Re: New version of IH2 (v2.7.4) in review!
All I would like is a readme file that made sense. Errors are one thing, but after 600 posts I think that should be possible.

you are right. when i change this line back now to: <FilesMatch ".*\.(jpe?g|JPE?G|gif|GIF|png|PNG|swf|SWF)$" >
everything still works fine...
but i found another problem.
i have 3 jpg images added now, whe added a new one, GIF with automatic suffix generation they are displayed in admin however when click one both are chosen.
also in front end the new gif is not displayed.
so i cannot have gif and jpg images together
Please see the IH2 readme.. This is not a bug.. this is correct behavior.. If your main large or medium images are JPG, then they all must be JPG. (and this IS covered in the readme)
Also if you look a page back in the new version announcement post, I mention that there is a setting in Configuration > Images which will allow IH2 to convert your uploaded GIF to JPG. (hint: filetype) This has ALWAYS been a feature of IH2..

This is not a bug.. and it's not caused by IH2.. This is a result of how Zen Cart recognizes additional product images. See these Zen Cart FAQs:
Re: New version of IH2 (v2.7.4) in review!
I'd like to get at least 1 or 2 more testers to try the new version and review the new readme.. I really need folks who really plan to TEST and report back their results.. (so I will be selective in who I send the new version to -- sorry..) Time is of essence as I'd like to get this test/review period turned around quickly so I can submit this new release ASAP.. PM me if interested..
Last thing.. How could I forget that the new version includes the latest updates to the JS file from the awesome nigel!! (I've updated the changelog section accordingly below and in the readme)

v2.7.4 Changelog
- New javascript which addresses issues with IE 9
- Fix fancy quotes.
- Correct minor issue where image file paths would include an un-needed "/"
- Add an admin configurable option whereby shopowners can choose whether or not the large or medium image will display in the "on hover" image effect
- Revise module version numbering for (hopefully) the last time. We are eliminating the "Rev" numbers format. The new version number is based on the number of releases from inception to current. It is meant to reflect what the version number SHOULD have been had a more conventional version numbering system been used for this and all prior releases
- Re-format and re-write readme file. Among the changes included:
- Better (and MORE) images
- Full integration of Tim Kroeger's AWESOME original documentation
I am especially excited about the integration of Tim's original documentation into the IH2 readme.. I think that many of IH2s MOST COOL and MUST HAVE features are often forgotten in a sea of "image hover" an lightbox questions..
The inclusion of Tim's original documentation really provides a GOOD overview of IH2 and most importantly really demonstrates that this little app is SO MUCH MORE than a way to add cool image hovering effects..
Did you know for example:
- That one of IH2's default settings (yes the ones NO ONE ever REALLY looks at) will compress and optimize your product images for you?? No need to use Photoshop or other similar tools to compress your images to make them "web ready". IH2 will do all of this heavy lifting for you.
- That IH2 will convert your images for you from one filetype to another on the fly? For example you can upload a JPG file and specify that IH2 generate all product thumbnail images (small image) as GIFs, all medium product images as JPGs, and all large product images as PNGs. This saves you from have to create and convert all these different files. Simply upload your JPG source and IH2 will take care of the rest for you.
Files are being reviewed as we speak.. Once I get the thumbs up from my testers, I will submit to the downloads section..
Re: New version of IH2 (v2.7.4) in review!
Why do you ignore me? Is it because you were so rude to me last time and I had to to refer you to the forum administrator?
Probably, but I dislike you too. OK, they let you continue...
But it is because you don't know that this is a forum, where we have the right to discuss issues...
Or are you an American? Free speech only if you are a card-carrying US sucker?
I am still unable to use this stupid add-on.
Re: New version of IH2 (v2.7.4) in review!
I'm happy to help out with testing and ReadMe review :) By testing, I assume you mean install/upgrade and then test each feature as I would any mod that I've installed? Or is there more to it than that? If so, I might need a little guidance :)

Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Hi, please I think that this is not specific to Image handler rather to csv upload and images. This is the problem:
After uploading my files both csv and images to the server, some images are showing while majority are not showing in my website www.eztyn.com.
Please does anybody know how I can sort it out. I have tried to re-upload both the csv file and images, but still the problem remains.
Thanks

Awesome.. and yes that is exactly what I mean by testing.. If IH2 has been working well for you then you may not notice all the changes. There are two exceptions to that though. There are two fairly OBVIOUS changes that you can see and test for..
- If you are using the current version of IH2 and view your site in IE9, you will have display issues.. The new IH2 JS fixes IE9 display issues.. (Nigel rocks!!!)
- The admin option to choose the image size displayed in the on-hover function.
The other modifications in the new version are important updates, but (dare I say) subtle modifications. Meaning that not all people reported (or had) issues with the problems these modifications address. So you may not notice any significant differences in your own testing. I may need to update the changelog so that the specific issues and the posted fixes which are part of this new release are clearly referenced..
Also I want to make sure that we've covered everything in the readme.. I've changed the overall layout (it's now in a tabbed format for easier reading), updated the images, and incorporated nearly all of the materially relevant portions of Tim's original documentation. Where necessary I've expanded some of Tim's instructions for additional clarity. The docs were written with DIYers like you in mind so feedback from a DIYer is VERY valuable..
Thank you for volunteering!!
Look for an e-mail from me tonight.. (Maybe this afternoon if I can figure out how to get the files to you from the office..)

Honestly this is not related to IH2, and you should post this in the support thread for the uploader tool you are using.. The folks there are better suited to answer questions on how to correct your CSV file to resolve your issue..
