Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

You may not be happy with the news, but you need to now post in the thread for IH3 if you have a problem with it.

The site moderators will not let me update IH2 JUST to say there is an IH3.. (dbltoe is right it's not a standard practice to do this anyway)

In SEVERAL places in THIS support thread I personally have posted more than a few notices about the IH3 release and the fact that there is a new support thread for IH3.. (if you look at the posts on the previous page JUST above your original post you'll see posts where I do this again..) Not sure what more there is I could have done to get the word out..:lookaroun

I assume by your subsequent posts here and on the IH3 support thread that you re-read the readme which does have detailed upgrade instructions which do indeed include IH2 UNINSTALL instructions..

Reminder: This is the Image Handler 2 (TWO) support thread.. This NOT the correct support thread for Image Handler 3 questions..

As folks don't seem keen to search the forum before posting questions, it seems like I need to re-post a "gentle" reminder regarding Image handler 3..

Hi..I posted before but was told it was for IH3 which I'm not trying to use as I have 1.3.8a, so I'm trying to use IH2, so hopefully I'm supposed to repost here:huh:

I have installed 3 times, different ways, deleted "everything" to see if it was something I did...but I still can't see any choices under admin/images/ ..there are no IH choices at the bottom. I can't find an answer to that and I'm sure there is an easy answer.
I've renamed things as told to in the read me file...
what could be wrong?

someone suggested corrupted files, but it would be the first time and I did download from the zencart addons. It seems like something isn't working on the admin side...but what do I know??/

OK, that make more sense (you did state in the other thread you were using 1.3.9a not 1.3.8a)

What options are appearing when you go to

admin --> tools --> Image Handler --> click on the admin link here

what options are showing?

first you should think real hard about upgrading to 1.3.9h, it is far more secure and so far has not been hacked like many I have been fixing and upgrading due to hackers---some of the hosts even shut down the stores access to cpanel and server files because of it.

when you installed it did you go to admin/tools/IH2 and turn it on by clicking to install it there--first

then the images controls should show up in the images part of admin

I'm a bit afraid to upgrade...some file will go missing and I'll search for months for it or something...I'll consider...
Yes I installed it through tools...it was there, but nothing shows up in the admin/configure/images....

sorry for posting on Image handler 3 by mistake...

I've attached 2 screen shots to show what my admin looks like..

I've looked at this with fresh eyes this morning and it still baffles me...can anyone attempt to help??
I've deleted everything and put it back in as well a couple of times...
