Using the product example I previously cited the large image is found here:
http://talkingwalls.ca/aline/images/...elcome_LRG.jpg
The product though is associated (and looking for) this image:
http://talkingwalls.ca/aline/images/...%20welcome.jpg
If you renamed
everyone welcome_LRG.jpg to
everyone welcome.jpg, then you will "trick" Zen Cart into displaying the image without having to update the product.
Now if all your other images follow a similar pattern then you can batch update the file names.. You can do this by downloading one of the many free file re-naming tools (
http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php) and rename all your images and re-upload them.. This should solve all your issues without having to manually update your products..
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I'm sorry but I'm just not getting this...you keep sending me to the readme page and I don't understand it I guess...I don't know why.
Just please just tell me what to do with the files I already have in my image folder, which are the biggest I have. How do I associate them is my question...do I have to do it one by one through the admin?? Again...step by step...how do I associate these files?
Do I have to go to each product and associate a particular file with it? If I do that will take forever...
I feel like a broken record... if I don't get this I will have to revert everything back.
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I'm so stuck here...I cleared the bmz cache file, I've deleted all my image files, so the image folder has nothing and I went to the IH and added the new image to associate through IH and it uploads the new image to the image folder..and I see the image in the product list page.but when I look at the bottom it doesn't come from the bmz cache.:censored:
Before that I deleted all my _LRG files and bulked renamed them without the ending and uploaded them to the image folder. They showed up in the right place and it seemed like IH was working but again when I looked at the bottom, they were still not from the bmz cache folder, or so the status at the bottom said.
Any more ideas...

Either method I suggested in my previous posts for re-associating your products with the correct images would have worked.. Looking at this product I referenced in my previous posts I can see IH2 is generating the correct image files.. So whatever method you used for updating the product image has worked for this product..
http://talkingwalls.ca/aline/index.p...roducts_id=847
So whatever steps you took for updating this particular product should be applied to all of your other products..
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Hopefully this is my last post:yes:
When I looked at the status on the bottom it shows no sign of bmz cache, but when I looked at the "file info" it shows that it's working.
It's probably been working for a while...that's probably good for people to know.
Thanks to everyone.

Well the example I used in previous posts shows the correct file location in the status bar when you hover your mouse over the image.. and BTW, the on hover won't show ANYTHING in the status bar when you use Internet Explorer.. The on hover shows the image URL ONLY when you use Firefox..
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I just checked your site ( talkingwalls.ca/aline/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=13 )
All the images on that page are being handled by the bmz cache.
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Help Please guys!
I am trying to install IH2 but it does not seem to be working. I am not sure what I am missing. I have been reading FAQ about zen cart for 2 weeks now but no help.
Here is what I did:
I install Zen cart 1.3.9h with Hostgator using there QuickInstall. During installation, i am ask to provide directory where installation will be done. So I name it: mysubfolder. Then zen cart is up working.
Now download and unzip IH2. I name the admin folder: mysubfolder (I am guessing this is my admin folder name).
Then I rename my template to Classic Contemporary Green in both module and template folder.
I upload all files to the root directory of my zen cart installation with FTP.
Problem: When I log in my zen cart admin and click on tools, I see no menu from IH as supposed to.
Thanks so much for your help!

Nope:no:
If you named the folder that Zen Cart is in mysubfolder and have not renamed the admin folder inside the mysubfolder, you would change the IH2 admin files to nothing.
PLEASE NOTE: You should change the name of the admin folder as soon as possible to avoid someone gaining access to your site.
The cart should already be telling you this if you try to access the admin.
I'm not a fan of loading Zen Cart through ANY method other than that found in the Tutorials/FAQ.

I have them as host too but even the stores that I install and manage as well as my own ...I have never used any method other than unzip/manually upload files to install store. Many problems were had by a couple that I had to fix their store because they used an installer that messed up the files somehow.

when you are asked to name the directory...it means what you want to call the folder you have the store in...for instance: store or catalogue, like mine is fantasiesrealm.com/market --- market is the folder that got called in installation

why?

what files did you ftp to your store? and are you sure you put them into the folders that match the ones in the zip? not just upload the folders to the server as is...I have seen many do that.
Link to store is always helpful to get useful advice since quessing will only make things stay wrong longer. Since you can see your admin and go into it then *mysubfolder* must not be the real name so this does not help us help you either.
