How about if the original is a .JPG, capitalised, as are the additional images? When I have the original as a .JPG (capitalised), for some reason it doesn't appear in Image Handler2 in tools, but I'm unsure if it's due to that... any ideas? Thanks for your reply :)
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
I'm not 100% sure about the capitalization. Try being consistent, either caps or lowercase, as see it if works.

That's not the issue unfortunately because if I upload the product with a .JPG, I can't even access the product on Image Handler, like in the screenshot I posted above... nothing appears, regardless of capitalisation.
Ooh! I found a solution! I just renamed an image of a product to ".png" then created the product as normal and uploaded it, and it now appears in Image Handler2! Yesssss!
One other thing - is there a way to mass rename images to .png from .JPG?

Can't find how to edit my posts but no worries, I've managed to work it out :) Thanks jeking

The issue re: file extensions was fixed in the IH3 release. It's best that you upgrade to IH3.
If you prefer to remain with IH2, you shouldn't have to change your file extensions from JPG to png. Rather...all your file extensions must be the same CASE (either JPG or jpg).
No need to make them a higher resolution PNG or png file because you can upload a jpg and tell IH to display it as a png.
Bottom line: Either -
Upgrade to IH3
OR
Keep your file extensions all lower case or upper case.
AND...no matter which of these you do...read the readme file. Particularly the configuration tab re: image settings and the troubleshooting tab re: prepare your site for growth.
Good luck and happy Zenning

Thank you kindly for your post. The problem is that all my images are .JPG, and when I have it like that, nothing at all appears in Image Handler2... if Image Handler3 solves the issue, I may have to upgrade since it'll save me a lot of frustration... thanks very much for your post.

If changing the file extension solved your issue it is likely that your images are NOT JPGs at all.. (hence why they didn't work) Lastly Unix servers see JPG and jpg as being two different things.. so as ScriptJunkie point out, your file extensions need to be consistent or you will have issues..
Suggest upgrading to IH3 anyway.. IH2 is old technology..

Agreed the images are probably not JPGs. Dothra...you mentioned uploading the images directly from your mom's camera. Windows may have named them with the JPG file extension...but that doesn't mean they are truly JPGs.
Try uploading the images to a computer and then changing the file extensions on the computer before uploading them to your server.
Re: Image Handler 2 Support
Thanks for the replies guys. I will stick with IH2 for now and I can understand what you mean about the files not really being JPGs, so for now I'll just get my mum to use RenameMaster to rename files after uploading them to her computer - it's all resolved, many thanks.

Hi.
Discovered a strange IE behaviour:
Fancy image hover only work when page is at very top. As soon as scrolling a bit it stops working?
Other browsers fine!
