I followed the guide.pdf to the letter, (and added the fixes from page 70) Ive tried both 3a & 3b in my .htaccess, as I am not sure if path_info is installed, its not showing up in server_info. But either way it wont work :(
Strange thing is, I only ran the install once, but I actually have 2 SEO links in my configuration menu. I don't know if that will break anything but I figure if just make sure the settings I want are the same in both menus I can ignore it.
Is there anything Ive neglected to mention?
thanks in advance

What do you have enabled from the configuration setting on the admin side?
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Both entries have the following settings:
Code:
Seo Urls Status On
301 Redirection Status On

You need to turn on default url plugins if you haven't and and also make sure that you check Format: Strip Invalid and Format: Lowercase.
Please report back after making the above changes.

By the way be careful how you use the .html extension. There is a known issue with Paypal Express Checkout when .html extension is use.
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Thanks
It they looks like this:
Code:
Seo Urls Status On
301 Redirection Status On
Page Base
Default Extension
Url Plugins Core: Advanced Search, Core: Default, Core: Category, Core: Manufacturer, Core: Advanced Search: Result, Core: Product, Core: Product: Image, Core: Default: Skip SSL, Core: Default Skips

It is still not working. how can I get rid of the 2nd SEO link in the config menu??
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Ignore the above.. its all sorted :)

If it really starts to bug me, can you suggest how I can remove one of the SEO entries in the config menu?

You cart is pretty messed up. I can't even add an item to cart. You might want to disable seo url and test your template first to make sure that your site works. It doesn't appear that your IH2 is configured right either.
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Lol
Thanks
But, I haven't had the same problem with adding products. I just cant get past the shipping methods when I check out! .. :(
hmmm work to be done it seems .
thanks again
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
I dropped the SSL URL plugin, looks like I can checkout now.
Is there anything else you noticed? The IH2 thing is ok, I just use it for thumbnails anyway.
I still can't find the define for the 2nd SEO entry though :(
thanks

In my humble opinion I think you should turn shopping cart sidebox on or enable shopping cart total in the header or somehow give your customer a visual aid if you're not going to take them to the shopping cart after they are done adding something to cart.
Apparent my item was added to cart but there was no way for me to know until I click view cart (which is okay just not customer friendly if there is no other visual aid).
Also, your https: displays security warning message which is another issue for the already paranoid customers that may visit your site.
The site also doesn't line up well in IE7 (you might want to check all the major browser). Perhaps we should move this discussion to site review since this have nothing to do with ultimate seo url. :)
Just a quick feedback.
