This looks like a partial data file from an earlier version of EP. This will not work with EP4.
What you REALLY need to do is FIRST enter a couple products normally through the zencart admin. Create a couple categories and sub-categories, and if you have more than one language, also be sure to enter the language names of the categories for these additional languages.
Once you have a couple categories and products, do a full export.
You will now have the correct column mappings.
Also, be sure to use OpenOffice to export your CSV file.
When in OpenOffice you:
1) select File -> Save as
2) select Text (CSV) from File Type
3) put check in "Edit filter settings" check box
4) click save (a new window will pop open)
5) click Keep Current Format ( new window titled Export Text File will open )
6) Under Field Options select Unicode UTF-8 for character set, Comma for Field Delimiter and Double Quote for Text Delimiter
7) click ok.
You are making this MUCH harder on yourself by doing it any other way.
After you have done this, zip your file and attach it to your next post.

Thank you very, very much.
Now everything is fine. I'm just not inflicted products correctly.
And when I import files I was in another language (ENG).
Thank you very, very much.
Re: Easy Populate 4.0 Configuration link error
Hey there,
I'm trying out this newer version of easy-pop having been a fan of the old one. Works great, thanks, but when I bulk uploaded a bunch of products all went well for most products but some ended up in the wrong category.
The products which ended up in the wrong place were all down towards the bottom in the spreadsheet. It starts to go awry when the first product in the category Guinness Merchandise^Guinness Magnets & key rings
After the first product in that category, products end up getting placed in the same category as the product listed before. I reckon it's something to do with the ampersand. In the file downloaded by easypop the ampersand appears as & whereas in my admin the ampersand is &
Firstly, is this the cause of my problem and second, is there anyway to make it so that & is used instead of &
thanks for all the hard work :)

Hi Barricades!
Go to Configuration -> Easy Populate 4
What do you have set for "Convert Curly Quotes, etc."
Try it with html equivalants ( I can't remember off the top of my head if I'm convertion the ampersand ... )

Okay, looked into this a bit more. The ampersand does not get converted anywhere in EP4. So if your Zencart categories use & you will need to use that in your spread sheet. The reason you get a different category is because string comparison of & and & are completely different.

Re: EasyPopulate 4.0 Support Thread
Hi,
I'm a noob to using Easy Populate myself, after moving web hosts they have just installed it for me to get used too.
I have edited the heading ensuring I have v_model_number (sku, product code) inserted as a heading along with only some of the other headings. As all of them are not a requirement for my store.
My Headings:
v_products_model v_products_name_1 v_products_name_2 v_products_description_1 v_products_description_2 v_unit _of_ sale v_products_price_GBP v_products_price_EURO v_products_weight_kg v_clothing_size v_date_added
Anyway, to cut a long story short I have created a mini version of the stock report and if it's not the error:
No model field in record. This line was not imported
It's the error:
'Warning An SQL error has occured. Please check your input data for tabs within fields and delete these. If this error continues, please forward your error log to the Easy Populate maintainer'.
Does anyone please know why the errors are happening for my circumstances. Also after clearing up files from my database I have gone and deleted the sample template file provided by EP. Does anyone have a spare copy of this I can look at? It may be all I need!
Kind Regards
Duncan Oates

Chadd recommends that you add a few products through admin, including all categories and languages. Then download that and use that as your model.
Are you sure that you have installed this version of EP4?
From Chadd in a post on the previous page:
> When you navigate to Tools > Easy Populate 4 you should have "Easy Populate 4.0.22 - Beta 6-10-2012"
for your page title...
Re: EasyPopulate 4.0 Support Thread
Hiya,
Thanks for response.
Just says "Easy Populate For ZenCart v1.5.x"

This is not Chadd's version of EP4. I did not like the previous versions that had spun off of Phazei's work, but have not tried the version you have installed. Chadd's version works very well for me.
EP4 is not in the official plugins yet, and can be found in the link at post 1 of this thread.
Re: EasyPopulate 4.0 Support Thread
I am using https://github.com/chaddro/EasyPopulate-4.0 on Zen Cart 1.5.1 and in in Config I have "Upload File Date Format" = d-m-y but for the special start and end date I have to use YYYY-MM-DD because if I use d-m-y the specials start and end in the 60's :) No big deal but thought I'd mention it encase anyone else is having issues.
Cheers
