Do you know if there is an easy way to have the code that gives this message say what file is missing?
Thank you!
Shrimp
Is it complaining that the Admin doesn't have the spanish.php and the spanish directory?
Yes! That is what it is complaining about.... I copied the english.php to spanish.php and copied the english directory to the spanish directory and the error message was removed....
Re: Spanish Language Pack for Zen Cart 1.56
I forgot to rename my admin directory before moving it over......

It is in the archived/obsolete 156 language pack. It was to point out a php error and include a fix related to the language. It wont do anything/can be deleleted.
You do realise that you need to use the pack indicated for the version, or you will get error messages for each missing constant the code comes across...but the error messages are clear about missing constants.
If you do a new 157 install on the same server, and drop in the spanish 157 fileset and add/enable it, does it work with no errors?
Steve, I put a clean install, put the plugin in and it works okay on the cart side. When I copied the correct files over for the admin and made the Spanish language the default for the admin then the admin side stopped working like it is doing for the website I am trying to get it to show for.... except I am not getting logged error messages.... Are you able to set the admin to Spanish default and it works okay? I had to make copies of the english dir and php to get back into the admin after I set it to Spanish default.... Thank you!
Re: Spanish Language Pack for Zen Cart 1.56
The spanish.php is good... so there might be an issue with the directory.
Re: Spanish Language Pack for Zen Cart 1.56
These files were missing from /admin/includes/languages/spanish/
configuration_validation.php
plugin_manager.php
After this there was not a problem with making Spanish default ... except that it doesn't seem that the Spanish language is default when it is set default.

As I mentioned previously, if you are using 157 you need the 157 fileset, which does contain these files.
Where would I find the 157 fileset at? I got the latest off of Github and the one of the plugins is 156?
Re: Spanish Language Pack
If I look around your github I see a 158.... would that work?
Re: Spanish Language Pack
I NEVER update the plugin fileset: languages are constant tweaks, hence it only lives on GitHub for the time being.
I've just finished consolidating all the versions into one repository:
https://github.com/torvista/Zen_Cart..._Language_Pack
From the Code->Branch dropdown, you choose the version branch that matches your Zen Cart version, download the zip and unzip it.
in the /files folder: rename the ADMIN_NAME folder to match your folder name, then copy all the files into your development site: nothing should be overwritten.
Check it works 100% before uploading to production site.
Report issues on GitHub, or better still, fix them yourselves and submit the fix. That would be a first.

Thank you Steve! I am not that familiar with GitHub. Will put the latest one in...
