HoverBox 3 - Official Thread

I have slimbox installed atm, i upgraded promptly from lightbox because i heard complaints that it... 'wasnt working'... when this was in reality because the 60k jscript file hadnt loaded yet... slimbox fixed this problem. i was curious about hoverbox, because i never settle and im always up for something better... but i noticed the file sizes were pretty big... what is to keep me from running into the file size problems with this one? i know its built off of a different code base so i cant assume anything, but i dont want to go to the hassle of switching unless its REALLY worth it... earlier in the post someone asked what the differences were and you talked only about hoverbox vs lightbox, not hoverbox vs slimbox... any insight?

HoverBox waits for the page to load then displays appropriately, you won't have the issues associated with Lightbox. :lamo:

All was working fine, until I installed zen lightbox. Now when you click larger image, it does nothing for a while, then the jpg opens up in a new window...??? I made a backup of my sql db before I installed zen lightbox. So I restored the db, and reinstalled hoverbox3, but it still isn't working.

Okay, what I needed to do was to take out the \includes\templates\**mytemplate**\jscript\lightbox*.js files. They were causing the problem some how.

I'm having a major problem with hoverbox3 rc2.

Whenever I enable it, internet explorer acts like every one of my products lead to a "404 page not found". Firefox works just fine.

I've got hoverbox disabled now so internet exploder will load my products, but you can see the error I get when I validate the site with W3C. Please look at this thread:

When HB3 is disabled, the page validates fine.

I really want this to work. Please help.

I have been installed a fresh HoverBox 3 but when I go to the ACP --> Configuration --> Hoverbox 3, I see nothing.
How can I enable it?
My site runs on PHP 5.2

I work around to fix it myself. I have run uninstalling sql script and run sql installing script again. I get the message:

13 statements processed.
Error ERROR: Cannot insert configuration_key "" because it already exists
Warning Note: 1 statements ignored. See "upgrade_exceptions" table for additional details.

I have installed HoverBox3 over Zencart 1.38 on a Windows web server
I have copied all the files and run the SQL update

Now when I go to open a product, It doesn't show the product description, neither the menu on the left (I have attached a picture of the problem "hoverbo3 - problem"

When I go to Configuration > Hover3 , and change the
"enable Hover Box3" to false, the product page shows correctly again

I have attached a picture of this as well "hoverbox3 - original"

Any help will be appreciated
