Go back a few pages in this forum and you will see we all share the same problem, when you use specials it messes up wholesale pricing. Get rid of your specials and you will see that your wholesale customers get the correct price. Check out the solution I offered hairydog, maybe that can help you till the conflict is resolved.

I don't believe I'm using any specials.
Also, the pricing on my front end is accurate. I am just missing the wholesale field when I try to add or edit a product in the admin area.

I looked at your site and you show discounted products, how did you do that?
Was there ever a fix to Dual Pricing not adding the attributes trade price to the shopping cart?
I gave up with it and removed the whole thing. The client will use group discounts instead: they work properly, and they calculate the tax correctly as well!Quote:

I wish I knew when the update is coming. I have been waiting for it, but I need to get this store up sooner rather than later so I might just have to remove all the dual pricing files and find a new solution.
Does anyone know what I need to change in the functions_prices.php file to get the attribute prices to show up correctly for the wholesale prices?
Well i installed the dual pricing mod and it was working, or at least it was showing up. I was looking to add the easy populate mod as well.
I went to change the 'retail' and 'wholesale' text and uploaded the file when i noticed that the products were not showing up any more. I added the original file back and still nothing. I am not sure what i did between yesterday and today that would do that.
Basically when you click on a product nothing displays. You can see the list of products in the category but not the individual products.
Any idea as to which file i need to fix? I have been reading this thread for three days now and i think i have seena fix for this problem but can not seem to find it again.

well it seems that the tpl_product_info_display.php is not loading, or is not in the right folder. I saw that i had it in two of the template folders, includes/templates/template_default/templates but the mod suggested to put it in my custom template folder which at the time did not have the same path.
But i did remove the tpl_product_info_display.php from the custom template and still nothing. So i am still not sure what is going on. Here is my php if anyone can spot anything missing or not needed in it.

does anyone know if you can set this mod up by percentage? i have a customer with over 5,000 products on his zen and i dont feel like doing the math for all of them.

Sorry all, I encountered a bit of an issue. After installing 1.3.9h fresh, adding the wholesale repair package 1 and the first steps of 2, I installed stock by attributes and the bloody thing works perfectly.
So now I have a live site that's been taking wholesale orders for several months with the complete package 1 and 2 fix for 1.3.9h, and a second site with all of pack 1, and 7 steps of package 2 for 1.3.9h and I am trying to find out why they both work.
I have been reviewing the changes to the code for the entire package 2 repair and it just doesn't make any sense.
I'll post access to my live site in my next post with real world examples and a wholesale login as proof the wholesale site works!

Please don't go uninstalling any of your carts thinking this will work for you, as I mentioned before the live corporate website I work on DID NOT work with this method, it works with the final patches from package 2 (these have not been published to the forum yet) Completing package 2 updates also creates a separate wholesale section and corrects the subtotal passing issues we were all having.

First - thanks for taking the time to work on this! I'll stay out of your hair until you feel confident you have it ready, but I'm curious in your testing if when running 'SaleMaker', did you encounter any issues?
On my original install with this mod, I had issues of it posting wrong pricing when SaleMaker was active which is why I've avoided it for right now. Just curious whatya know.

I haven't tested it with SaleMaker but I do know it does correct some of the pricing issues with the retail and wholesale base prices that SaleMaker uses. Right now it does NOT take the discount off the attribute pricing, my client now needs this feature also!Quote:

Yes, I also added a separate function to turn on/off attribute discounts to wholesalers, and fixed some issues with specials and sales. I may have found a couple more bugs to do with quantity discounts & special prices, which I'm testing out now.

I have dual pricing working on 1.3.8 but I just upgraded to 1.3.9h and reinstalled dual pricing 1.7c but its not working for some reason. I have uploaded the files and use the install.sql in the admin settings. It seems to install fine but the option in the customer settings isnt there, under the email section. Any ideas?
Thanks Twitch. That worked great after I finally found your post. One note for those who are going to follow these instructions. When Twitch says rename the control folder to your admin folder, he's talking about renaming it to zc_admin. There are files to modify in the admin folder and the zc_admin folder. Check, and double check the work you do in replacing the whole customer_whole, customer_wholesale thingys.Quote:

A simpler way to make it work, set up a regular store and list all the products with wholesale prices, if the retail prices are only for comparison they can be added to the description of the product. Another solution would be set up retail prices for all your products and make a permanent special price (this would be wholesale price) that way you're showing both without using this mod while charging wholesale by default.

This is quite typical of other wholesale website to display those two variance since typically the Unit price is the base price used as a comparison and package prices the actual price they'll buy it in.
Example:
Unit Price: $0.37
Package Price: $4.44 (is just $0.37 x 12 or dozen)
I tried the special price feature but it has a red line across the 'old' price and puts the new price on the bottom which is not quite what I wanted.
The wholesale module I have fixed does what you want in this respect for 1.3.9h. I'll see if I can get the thing up this weekend... for real this time damnit!Quote:

I'm stuck with the Dual Pricing and Salemaker. When I setup a percentage discount for the retail price (actual price), the wholesale price is also discounted.
I have been playing around with attributes, but not able to work it out. If there is a function to turn on/off wholesale discount as you've mentioned in your last post, it would be FANTASTIC. Hope to here from you soon.
I forgot to mention what i want to is when setting sales discounts, it should only apply to the original price, but not the wholesale prices.
Hi I am using v1.3.9 and working on a wholesale website and one of the requirements is that the customer (i.e. in this case the retailer) wants to see their profit margin working based on the cost price and recommended retail price. Thought that if another field is set up e.g. Buyer Margin and this calculated based on the RRP and the Cost price it would produce the buyers profit margin and this would be like a salemaker field e.g. 40% profit to made on ..... etc... Sorry prob not explaining this very well. thanks

It fixes a few items:
Tested function in ZC 1.3.9 and compatibility with Hidden Wholesale. Fixed issue with displaying fields in admin. Adjusted to use Override system. Updates to ReadMe file for easier install.
I don't know if it fixes all the issues listed in this thread, but try it out and if you see any issues post them here.
how do i do the following:
1. display retail and wholesale price on the category listing page?
2. display retail and wholesale price on product info page?
right now i dont see wholesale price until you go to the shopping cart.

I am kind of new to zen cart. I started using it at one point but stopped because I could not get any addons to work. I'm trying to give it another try and hope you can help me. I am trying to install Duel Pricing. I am using zen cart v1.3.9h and duel pricing v 1.8 that I got from the zen cart site. I followed the instructions and believe I installed it correctly. I changed the template names in modules and templates to my template name. and uploaded the "Admin" and "includes" folder to my foot directory. but it still shows up as "Group Pricing" and there is no additional price field to add wholesale prices to my products. hope someone can help and tell me what I'm doing wrong means I can never get mods to show up! haha. I have got the mod to install and the stuff to show up. but now I am having a different problem. if I set up an item to have an sale price of say 99.99 and whole price of 80.00 and assign a customer wholesale pricing of 1. they still see the price of 99.99
Please check the following:
1. Have you renamed \includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE?
2. Assign the price on the Product Edit page. Where you would normally enter the regular price, there is a new wholesale field just below. Do not use Group Pricing with this module.
3. Has the customer logged out and log back in after you upgrade their level? They must log in AFTER they are assigned Level 1 pricing.
The \includes\templates\YOUR_TEMPLATE folder looks like it uploaded properly (YOUR_TEMPLATE being the name of my template obviously.
I have assigned a retail price of 99.99 and a wholesale price of 80.00. created an account and gave it wholesale status to do some testing. when I go to the site not signed in it shows 99.99. when I sign in it says "Wholesale Price 99.99" and if I add it to the cart it shows up in the cart is 80.00. it looks like it's giving the wholesale user the wholesale price. but not til they add it to their cart
Which version of ZC and Dual Pricing are you using? edit: just noticed versions in your first post. I'll test and see if I can reproduce the problem on my end.
I have installed 1.8 on a stock 1.3.9 cart and it works fine. There must be a conflict between one of your other modules and/or some files not properly uploaded. Try re-uploading all files again. Try clearing your browser cache as well.
Does this latest version of the module fix the problem of passing the wholesale price to the the shopping cart, when the item has options/attributes?
Previous version would should the wholesale pricing in the product listing but not in the cart.
As far as I know, the module does not play nice with attributes.

I followed the instructions in post #687 and now I have no admin screen, just a blank screen!!!
I have checked my server logs and there are no errors reported.
Steps I took..
The tables referenced in the patches were already present so I skipped that..
I edited the files as indicated (backed up first) then uploaded.
Shop front end still appears to be working, but there is no admin screen, source code indicates nothing at all.
I restored the changed files from backup and still no admin page
Any idea how I proceed from this point to try and track down what is happening?

I fixed it, not entirely sure how or why, but I restored the entire cart from a full back up taken prior to adding this, then I restored includes and admin from the backup of those folders I did before changing anything and it is back to normal...
Anyway, besides that rather scary time there...
I realised that my version of dual pricing is the 1.8 not the 1.7c in the instructions, would this account for the issue or should the fix posted also fix the admin display etc ?
I am very wary of trying this again, my heart rate is still not quite back to normal as it is!
I got the prices to show, but now i cant add attributes. it just takes me to the main screen after i try to save the attributes i added.
what do i do?

it wont work with adding attributes and i need to remove it.
Tests on my end show the attribute screen works fine, no blank screen. There is a spot to enter wholesale value (in the 'trade' box)... the only thing that doesn't work is a wholesale 'base price' which then is added to the attributes.
If you are getting a blank screen, re-upload the module files and it should be fine. Probably an error with the FTP program did not fully upload the files.
If you want to uninstall the module, then run the uninstall.sql script in your admin tools, and replace the uploaded files with your original backups.
I've gone through and deleted and reinstalled one file at a time, attributes still don't work. I wonder if there's a conflict with dual pricing and another module. I'm going to copy my site to a dev server and rebuild it piece by piece and see where attributes stops working. I'll post my findings soon.
sounds tedious... instead try re-uploading /admin/includes/attributes_controller.php
Hopefully you keep a regular backup of your files... if not, try grabbing a fresh one from the Zen Cart official download (for your same ZC version of course).
If that doesn't work, please be specific about what "not working" means. More info helps to troubleshoot.
here is what happens:
1. try to change/add an attribute to a current or new product
2. you can get as far as attributes_controller.php
3. once you click "insert" you get taken back to the main admin page and the attribute does not get added/changed
ok, think i tried this and it worked:
1. replace "attributes_controller.php" from the add on module with "attributes_controller.php" from your current version
i did this with version 1.3.9h and everything seems to be working just fine now
Great, glad to hear it is working! It would be a good idea to double-check that all the other files are from the latest version too... just in case there's another piece of the module that's broken.

Hi all, I use Zen Cart v1.3.9h and Dual Pricing 1.8. It is a good add on but I can't use discounts for quantities for wholesalers .
I can see the table with discounts

I've been using the mod and it works great. However, I have a question I hope someone may be able to answer. I saw on the download page for version 1.7, it says "Also added a simple customer wholesale request radio on the register page and if they ask for a wholesale account, you get notified in the admin area" I don't see how to enable that radio button. Could someone let me know how to set that up so someone can request a wholesale account when they register? Thank you!

I have Dual Pricing 1.7 and Column Grid add ons installed.
On the product listing page I would like for the price to show "msrp: $9.99" if customer is not logged in and "dealer: 2.99 / msrp: $9.99" if the customer is logged in. Much like product_info_display.php
I have tried to pull the code from product_info_display and insert into product_listing.php but failed. I think one of my dilemna's in working this out is that I have column grid add on installed.

I am using zen 1.3.9h and have installed Dual Pricing - Wholesale Pricing v 1.8. It is working great and I love it! Now I am looking for the same feature in categories.
I have read postings about hideCategories and hidden wholesale working with Dual Pricing. What I have found is hideCategories just generally hides Categories from everyone. And hidden wholesale just hides wholesale "products" not categories.
I found Display Specific Categories for a logged in Customer Only at http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=1763. This module allows a category to be seen by everyone or only seen by the "one" customer it is assigned to.
I am a beginner at PHP but it would seem that the Display Specific Categories for a logged in Customer code could easily be modified to incorporate the Dual Pricing code. Instead of assigning a category to a specific customer, assign a number higher than zero - like the way you do a customer in Dual Pricing.
By merging these two modules together we could have Dual Pricing and Dual Categories.
This way wholesale products; bulk items, marketing supplies, etc. categories could be visible to wholesale Dual Price customers. Please consider this.

I founded the same problem and fixed it. When I added and attribute to a products send me directly to index admin.
I compare the original attributes_controller.php from last zencart verison 1.3.h with the attributes_controller.php from Dual price and I found that <?php echo zen_draw_hidden_field('securityToken', $_SESSION['securityToken']); ?> are missing three times. I added it and now works rigth.
But now I have another problem, in the front when I add a product with attribute to the shopping car show the wholesale prices but add the retail price attribute. I founded it in another last version but now I don´t know how to fix.

I use Zen Cart 1.3.9h and Dual Price v 1.8. When there is a special or sale price I was having a problem with the special or sale price overwriting the wholesale price when a wholesaler was logged in. Ex: Retail: $99.99, On Sale for $89.99, Wholesale price $59.99 and if logged in as a wholesaler the resulting price would be $89.99, not the $59.99.
To fix this I made the following changes in the functions_prices.php page:

Without this correction there was a problem with the prices being displayed as both a wholesale price and a sale price with the same figures. Sorry for any confusion.

Does the includes/functions/functions_price.php AND/OR admin/includes/functions/functions_price.php need to be updated with this? I've actually tried both, reviewed the update several times making sure to place the code in the appropriate spot according to the second revision by edingtoncollection with no success. So starting simple, I wanted to again verify which file or files needed to be updated.

I have a problem with the dual pricing,
If I have a retail price of R100.00 and wholesale price of R60.00 but I have the product on special on the retail side at R80.00 the system still charge my wholesale client the special price of R80.00 instead of the wholesale price of R60.00
It displays the whole sale price as R60.00 , stroked out and special price next to it at R80.00
If the wholesaler ads it to his cart he pays the "special" price
Is there a way around this?
