Please help me, Ithink I must be going mad :blink: I have installed the cherry zen template on my local development machine and changed the logo.gif to one of my own design. This seems to work fine. However when I do exactly the same to my hosted ZenCart all that happens is the Cherryzen logo.gif gets stretched and not replaced. I have renamed the original logo.gif to logo.off but this does not seem to make a difference :frusty: . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im having trouble using the cherry zen template together with your CSS flyout header 1.5
All i seem to get is the header displayed and first 3 boxes (missing some of the contents) everything after the drop down menu doesn’t display.

I have downloaded zen, and am working through my manual. I have started the override system but seem to be making a mess of things. So I have looked at the downloadable templates and - WOW - here I am.

Hi, brilliant template. It looks great. But I have one question:
I have been looking through the thread and I found your instructions for making the product description appear to the right of the image, but mine isn't quite right.

but I would like it to use the full width of the page and to wrap around the image. How do I achieve this?

Why did you use images for left and right column background and put them in contentMainWrapper instead of using CSS in #navColumnOne or #navColumnOneWrapper for example?

The biggest reason is so that the grey background for the sidebox goes all the way down to the bottom of the page. If I did it for the side boxes only, the background color would only go as far as the content within the sidebox.Quote:

There's nothing stopping sideboxes from working on either site. Remember that the shopping cart box only shows up when something is in the cart, and the reviews box only shows up on a product page.Quote:

I am using the Cherry Zen template. Zencart 1.3.7.
I would like to add a new menu option to the left of the Home button on the menu. I was able to add the option however it moves the other buttons to the right and the last button is displayed on a second line. I would like to have it display all on one row. I have tried changing the CSS in different places but cannot seem to get the width correct to keep on one line.
Could someone please point me in the right direction? I believe there is enough space between the "search" and existing "home" button to add another menu option.

First of all: Great Template.
I did have one customer running at 1154x 864 and that did mess up the layouts (pushed the categories sidebox below the footer and mangled the header). I have used a fixed 1000 pix width to cater for that.
It's a horrible res anyway and I think its just a Dell straight out the box.
I have a question about the checkout modules.
My customer wants the order breakdown on step 3 of the checkout process to be present in the step 2 of the checkout process so that online buyers can see what they are paying for before they have enter their card details.
I didn't think it mattered but he's quite firm on this point.
I did try editing the php modules but I don't really have enough experience of the flow to pick out the variables.
I have included images to help illustrate the point.

New ZenCart user here.
I installed the Cherry Zen template and am following instructions in the Read Me Or Else file.
The instructions say "Go to "Configuration" "Product Listing" and change "Product Listing - Layout Style" to "columns". "
However, I do not see the choice "Product Listing - Layout Style" as a choice under Configuration.
Upon more poking around, I found that I need to first install the add-on module for Column Layout / Grid Layout for Products Listing.
So I guess this post is two-part.
1. Maybe the installation instructions for Cherry Zen should say to first install this module.
2. If I'm installing this module after the Cherry Zen installation, should I install everything except product_listing.php, which exists in both Cherry Zen and the Column Layout module?

1) arguably yes, the coder Jen(true) possibly made the assumption that you had read the installation files thoroughly! :smile:
A little experience sometimes makes you forget how thorough you instructions have to be.
2) Just install Cherry Zen, and then add the MySQL patch for column grid, the instructions are included in the readme. Jettrue has been good enough to include the php from the start and the sql file is included in the mod.
I would always recommend a XAMPP installation (or MAC equiv) a My SQL backup and a second read of the instructions:lamo:.
How do I know? I made mistakes too.

I managed to add the tabbed product info. Unfortunately it seems to have problems working with IH 2. But anyway I will post that on the tabbed forum.
My question is about the product info layout. I arranged the placement of the tabs below the image and product details. I would like to move my my cart buttons directly below my details and attributes. But...I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated. I am posting a link but the site does have adult products. New to cherry zen. Just switched from niffty and noticed some changes.
I placed spaces in between my paragraphs but they are not showing up in cherry template. I used <p>. It's still there in my text. Any reason why it is being ignored? Also, not all <p> commands are being ignored. Scroll to the bottom and you will notice how the text are bunched together.

I am having some browser problems with my site, which can be viewed here at www.miss-crow.com/shop.
In Flock, Safari and Firefox, the site displays properly and there are no issues. Opera is also more or less fine.
In Netscape, all is ok, except that where the background should be white behind the page content, it is not and displays only the actual page color background, which is black.
In Internet Explorer, the background is fine, but the right column goes beyond the width of the header and right column and kind of hangs out over in the black area.
Can someone help me out?

Before I downloaded I moved to a new host and server, then upgrade from 1.3.0 to 1.3.8a. lot of my boxes are not working I turned them on and they don't showup. Tried to add contact us in the header it didn't work either. It showed up in black text.

In reading the documentation for the image handler it says to check for duplicate files first before uploading the files. I HAVE found duplicate files (gifs, etc.) on my server so I haven't as yet uploaded the image handler files.

Always test in firefox because IE seems to ignore page errors. My guess is that you have accidently deleted a </div> somewhere and so your page is not formatted correctly. Perhaps use firebug in firefox to see if all your <div> are closed?
Does anyone know how I can put a solid banner picture in cherry zen, instead of having a little logo in the top left? I want a solid image as a header.
The documentation that comes with Cherry_zen tells you how. Read that.

I have replaced the old Cherry Zen logo in the header of my site http://www.indigosilvergems.com, the header looks OK in Firefox and IE7, but its looks rubbish in IE6. The right hand side of the site is all messed up.
I have tried all sorts of configurations in the stylesheet.

When you use the code above the whole back ground behind your site will have the image. You will only be able to see it around your site. The white gaps you are talking about will be filled with that image. I do not know how to just fill the sides of your site with the image like you are talking about. Have the basic problem of loading Cherry Zen.
I copied the "includes" folder of the template to the "includes" folder on my site. All it did was create an additional includes folder within the includes folder.
Do I take each element and upload it separately?
I'm a bit hestitant to try things as there's no undo after uploading. :)
