I have one weird problem I was wondering if anyone can help with.
In my admin section it shows the following headings.
Catalog > BOX_REWARD_POINTS
Customers > BOX_GROUP_REWARD_POINTS_REDEEM
Customers > BOX_CUSTOMER_REWARD_POINTS
and the same with a few other options. Any idea's how I fix this. Everything appears OK on the store front.

Looks like you're missing the admin language files, make sure you've uploaded all those files in the mod :)
i was able to install and it works like it should - very nice... one problem though; in the admin / configuration menu i have two entries for the Reward Points one works, the other does not..... any thoughts?

It is a GREAT mod but we have decided to go a different direction with discounts.
Is it possible to turn it off?
I would rather do that just in case we ever wanted to revert to using it. I tried removing all of the files that said "reward" and removing the three reward tables in myphp. The I tried restoring all of the order.php files in the admin and the includes classes folders but continued getting missing descriptions and checkout buttons so I reinstalled to get the functionality back.

I played around in my "demo test cart" to see if I could disable this mod without uninstalling it. You can turn this mod off by doing the following:

Yes I noticed this.
I was able to uninstall this mod in my demostore by running the uninstall script and then deleting all of the files. No problems at all.
I did have problems when I did not delete all of the files after running the sql uninstall script.

i can see that the uninstall did not remove the configuration group from the database, but i would rather have the uninstall sql do it than remove them manually - i do not know if there are other items that should be removed as well

if the product price exc $100, tax 10%, price inc $110, 1$=1point
so, i need it to be:
on product description page : Price $110, 100 reward points
in shopping cart : 100 reward points
on total order page when check out : 100 reward points
but now, i have the tax problem, it shows:

i have a question, i'm not sure if it could be done with the current version RP mod.
if the product price is $10 with an attribute $3, then the customer get 13 points for this order. but i dont want it add the attribute price to the point, is it possible?
I'm having a similar problem. Though I managed to get missing areas back by using update.sql instead of new.sql after uninstall.sql, I had to reset up my reward points set-up, which I expected anyways after all that, but I too have multiple "Reward Points" sections with only one functional one in my configuration section. I remember reading something about it somewhere, but I'm too tired to try and find it again as I've literally read through the whole thread and did all the adjustments as needed along the way lol I remember having to go through my phpadmin once to change IDs for products, so I'm guessing I would have to do the same for this? I just can't seem to find the IDs for those "extra" pages in the phpadmin. But i'll try looking a little bit more before heading to bed. Otherwise any help or suggestion for this is appreciated. OK, got the issue fixed. Took me a tad to remember how to get to the area I needed lol Although it's simple enough if ya got phpMyAdmin and are at least half way familiar in navigating it, if ya don't on either count, then this probably won't help much but here's how I did it.Quote:

Thanks for a great Mod, this is one of the features we were looking forward to add to our store. I do have a question. Is there a possibility of creating an incremental point system. For example if a person has:
200 points = $5 off (2.5% off)
500 = $20 (4% off)
1000 = $50 (5% off)
2000 = $125 (best deal at 7.5% off)
This would be a great feature, if it's not already available. If it is, can you help me to set it up.

This add on looks like something I could use.
But I have a functionality question: Does this add on allow me to set up and track a “customer referral” program on my newly launched site?
I would like to offer points for “new registration” referrals.
(Could then lead into points for purchases, which this one seems to cover).
My thought was to give a code to someone who then passes that along to others. And then when those “referred” people sign up the “referrer” gets points.
If this add on does not support that idea does anyone know one that does?

hi hem, i got a problem on this mod,
i set global reward points for my products, and i set award points for new accounts (points added to earned), then i did a test, create account i got points earned, buy something i got points pending, everything seemed to work fine.
but then, when other customers created accounts and placed orders on my site, weird things happened, 10 custormers created accounts, only 3 customers got points earned. 5 customers placed orders, only 1 customer got points pending (this customer chose wire transfer, the other 4 customers chose paypal and got no points pending or earned).
is it the normal problem? is there anything i missed? what do i fix this problem? :unsure:

I get this message now when I run the update.zip file for the most recent Rewards version.

I ran the original update.sql and then noticed the new one afterwards and then ran the new one. This is when I get the error message.
When I ran the original update, I got lots of errors about various fields already exist.
I am using V1.3.8a of Zencart.
What should I do now? Everything seems to be working but I do not see anything new in thew Rewards section of catalog.
In the configuration I now have two rewards menu items. One is empty and the other looks complete. Not sure if the one with the options are part of the new rewards installation or still the old one. Kind

Just found a problem with rewards points module.
I have some test transaction, so thought I would check out/delete the rewards points for them. They would not delete even after clicked 'x' icon many times.
So I tried to go in edit - where you can also delete them, tried to delete and got an error page with:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
in:
[DELETE IGNORE FROM fut_reward_status_track WHERE ;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
By the way I run diagnostic file and this the version we have:
Zencart version: Zen Cart v1.3.8a
PHP version: 5.2.6
MySQL version: 5.0.67-community

The problems I am having is that no points are being allocated for new customers, but when I create an account it works.
No points are being allocated for orders and we only use Protx direct
Can anybody help or point me in the right direction

I cannot seem to find any fault with the customer creation reward points. Can those that are having this problem unzip the attached file to includes\templates\YOUR CUSTOM FOLDER\templates\. This will create a log file (rp_report.log) in your cache directory which tracks the settings as new accounts are created. Can you email me these when the problem occurs again- thanks.

I just miss one feature - is there a way to restrict redemption of points to just some product categories?
You could use this in different scenarios - for example, you want to allow your customers to choose gift from the "discounted products" category only...
Right now your could set the Global Redeem to 0 and only set a redeem value for the particular product category. However I have an item on the wishlist which is to set a Reward Category which will allow customers to select gifts based on how many points they have.Quote:

I'm looking for an addon just like this one, only I'm not sure if this one will do what I need it to. Basically I'm looking for a points system where each user could sign up and would receive their own rep code (coupon code) that they can hand out to whoever they want. They would earn points for each sale they refer. The person using the code would get, say, 20% off their first purchase, and the user that owns that particular rep code would earn points for that purchase. Is this addon capable of doing this?

I've been using the suite for several months with no problems. On the suggestion of my web host, I updated my server from PHP 4 to PHP 5 (FastCGI).
When I started getting the error message, I optimized my database and installed the SQL patch from 1.23a. However, I'm still getting the same error message. I can't seem to find a clear solution when I search this thread. Is there a fix I'm missing?

To work around this issue, I've been accessing MySQL and inserting the information directly into the database. Is there a way to fix the 1064 error so I could do this through the admin control panel?
