Re: Reward Points Module- Live Release now available.
Just to let you all know what I'm working on with this mod:
Currently adding:
Redeem Points as percentage discount rather than straight cash.
On the wishlist
Reward Point Vouchers.
Reward Points for referrals.
Better navigation around the Customer Reward Point admin.
Reward Points for PayPal IPN.
Any other ideas?

super !
Reward Points for PayPal IPN is what I want :D
Re: Reward Points Module- Live Release now available.
I have latest version of Reward Points installed on latest version of Zen Cart at http://www.heritagescrap.com/shop/.
It recently developed at major problem. Since there is a problem with PayPal, points are manually updated after each purchase. No mater how many points a customer has earned, when they go to check out it only shows 1 point.
I installed and ran the diagnostics and this is the results:
Reward Point Module Diagnostic
Site Settings
Zencart version: Zen Cart v1.3.8a
PHP version: 4.4.6
MySQL version: 4.1.21-standard
Zencart Settings
Zencart Custom Folder: includes/templates/rustic/
Zencart Custom Template: rustic
Zencart MySQL Prefix:
How do I fix this???
Thanks in advance
Maud
Re: Reward Points Module- Live Release now available.
add-on works perfectly so far.
just need a few how-to's
how do i change the point value from $0.01 to lets say $0.05?
i use coupon codes on my site and want the customer to only earn pts on the actual price they paid. (i have it set to subtotal right now)
thanks
david

I installed the Edit Orders module, but that module messed up the distribution of points when I did a test purchase. Essentially it erased the points display on the order when I attempted to edit the order, such as adding products. However, it maintained the points in the pending category. But because the points display on the order was reset to zero, and it didn't change the points from pending to earned when I changed the status of the order. The Reward Point module started working fine again when I disabled the Edit Orders module.
In short, Edit Orders Module is not compatible with Reward Points Module. FYI
I have the same problem while using "Reward Point Full Suite" with 'edit orders'. When I use edit orders to update the status of an order, the reward points' status would not change accordingly!
Who could tell me how to deal with this problem?:(

Ok, that is what I am waiting for is a percentage discount. I dont want customers being able to use points only to purchase. Any idea on when this will be completed? I would love to install this to my site but Im waiting for that to be done first.

The alpha is available now.

This is an alpha release/proof of concept. It works, though I have to add the mechanism for the user setting the RP to Discount % levels- right now it is hard wired (5000rp for 5%, 10000rp for 10% etc). To use it Install Reward Point Discounts under Modules -> Order Totals. Important- make sure you uninstall the Reward Point Order Total module as the two will not work together. The final version will switch off the other module when the additional module is installed.
Re: Reward Points Module- Live Release now available.
Is there any way, on the product info page, to make the number of reward points (ratio is set to 1 point per £1) to be equal to the product price INCLUDING tax rather than excluding?
For example :
I have a product priced at £39.99 INCLUDING Uk tax (vat) at 15% - It is showing as carrying 33 Reward Points.
EDIT: I know I can set the ratio to 1.15 but it doesn't seem like the ideal way of doing it as the calculation is then incorrect if I set the module to calculate final points via subtotal rather than via per product values.

Just set your ratio to 1.15.
Re: Reward Points Module- Live Release now available.
Cheers Andrew - I have another problem if anyone can shed any light :
In the Admin/Customers/Reward Points screen I have the following two problems :
1. When I click on a letter (sorted by Last Name) it shows me 1 screen full of names but not all the names IE: If I select the letter P then the last name on the list is "Penfold" but I have lots more customers whose last name starts with P such as Pickton etc... They are not on there. SCRAP THIS ONE - I have just realised I can change the number displayed in Admin from the default of 50
2. I have set up a test customer and earned some points. When I try to click on the edit function for that customer whose surname is "Phenton" (to manually add points etc...) and I find them by entering "Phenton" in the search box I get the following error :
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '%phenton%' OR c.customers_firstname LIKE '%phenton%' OR c.customers_id LIKE '%' at line 1
