AustPost saying errors in shipping estimator
I am using version 1.3.8 of zen cart and have been using auspost shipping for the last 4 months.
Tonight when I need it to be working it is saying
unexpected error (no valid methods). using ap flat rate.
I have checked some of the forums but I am not sure why it is doing it now when I have not had this problem.
Any help would be great

Austpost has been obsolete for over a year, It has been giving invalid quotes for almost as long. I'm surprised it has been working at all for the last few months because the server it depended upon was decommissioned.
you need to update to 'ozpost'.

So I updated to the version for 3.7-3.9 which was the 2nd on the list I think it version 2.5
anyways all is working except no pictures. Looks like this
4MODULE_SHIPPING_OZPOST_EST_DEL_TEXT
with a red X at the front.

At a guess,
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/ozpost.php (is where it *should* be. I don't know where you may have put it).
Don't confuse this with:
/includes/modules/shipping/ozpost.php Same name, different location.

Re: AustPost saying errors in shipping estimator
Hi Rod,
I have just discovered the same problem with my ozpost module
unexpected error (no valid methods). using ap flat rate $25
I have Zencart v 1.8 and the last ozpost module download for that version.
I realise that this maybe a stupid question but do I have to update Zencart to V1.9d before I install the latest ozpost installation?
I am reluctant to upgrade zencart because it takes me so long to sort out problems. I do plan to upgrade zencart but not today.
Everything else is working well, except the ozpost module.
My initial install on Hostgator was done using Fantastico but they only have the update for 1.9b... I see there is some problems with this and 1.9d is recommended. Not sure I can upgrade without fantastico.
My questions then will the latest version of Ozpost work on v1.8 or do I have to upgrade zencart as well?
BTW why is this problem just showing up now?
Many thanks

I have ozpost version V1.0.2
Sorry

And the "last ozpost module download for that version." is what exactly?
(Answer: v2.0.6 )

No.
All versions of ozpost will work with all versions of zencart (1.3.7 upwards).

A bit of personal advice... LEARN HOW TO DO THIS.
fantastico is very good for an initial installation, and one would have to assume that many people even use it for upgrading without any problems, however there are also as many, perhaps even more people that have literally 'trashed' their entire existing installation by attempting to upgrade in this manner.

Yes. However I have seen some reports that the FCKeditor gets broken due to something with the replacement files needed in the /admin/ folder.
This isn't technically an 'ozpost' problem (as none of the changes required for the module will have any effect on this) - However, these files also contain other changes made by the zencart team, which I assume is the real cause of this problem (A number of people have reported FCKeditor problems as a result of the recent updates, most reports haven't involved ozpost).
IF this is a problem that you wish to avoid, you can do so by NOT updating the files in the /admin/ folder - The same named files from an earlier version of ozpost will work just fine.

No. You don't need to upgrade zencart. At least not to have ozpost working.

Long story cut short... Security enhancements and updates on the server has exposed a bug in the very old ozpost v1.0.2 code. (no other versions are affected).
