Google Merchant Center Feeder for ZC v1.5.x [Support Thread]

I'm not providing any support.. Just being a good net citizen..

I installed the mod, the country option does not work, and i am unable to generate a feeds, sometimes it just hangs forever, and other times it just shows a internal server error.

I'm frustrated, I can't seem even to install this addon.

I followed instructions on readme file(changing UTF-8 characters and stuff). But I don't understand few steps like:

"CHMOD feed and sub-directories 777 or sufficient write permissions" What do I need to do here?

Also "Go to Admin->Configuration->Google Merchant Center Configuration and setup all parameters"

I don't have Google Merchant Centre tab in my configuration list.. I placed all the files and installed sql patch... but I can't see any Merchant Center configuration..

While this mod is very good, I found long ago it did not cope with other languages (read charsets) well and so began to modify it to produce an accepted feed for Spain (spanish, euros).
(I also needed it to deal with my widespread use of boilerplate text.)

Next was getting it to produce another feed for the UK (english, pounds) which required adding certain fields (in the code and the database) that Google complained about.

This mod is not a be-all and end-all for all feeds as Google applies country-specific criteria which may vary and change.

My point is...be prepared to hack into the code to produce the feed as Google wants. It may work ok for USA but need tweaks for other countries/feeds.

So no one knows what to do if I done all the steps, but I can't see "Go to Admin->Configuration->Google Merchant Center Configuration and setup all parameters" Merchant Centre Configuration?

This is straightforward unless you don't understand what CHMOD means. The instruction tells you to change the permissions of these folders.

How did you install the SQL patch, the menu not appearing says that either all the files needed for the admin menu were not uploaded or the SQL did not install correctly to register the menu.

Hello I see Admin->Configuration->Google Merchant Center Configuration but there is only a table header Title Value Action with no buttons or line items.

I have digital/cd products and google feeder wants shipping, tax, brand, mpn and google product category. I would set this by hand but don't know what the actual attributes are.

I believe some people cannot see menu items because they might have old 1.3 files mixed with 1.5.

Yeah I've got the first one, it was straightforward.

But still menu is not appearing. As I said I'm 100% sure I uploaded all the files and installed SQL trough tools-> install SQL patches, I used install.sql file. I've got message that 10 "smth" was successfully installed after hitting upload.

Any other options I can try? Oh and I've never used any Google merchant patches before..

I installed the newest version on ZC 1.5.0 and went through the whole configuration and everything, then when I go to Tools > Google Merchant Center Feeder and choose "Products" and leave the other two fields blank and hit "confirm" I get a popup window that says

I tried entering "1" as the starting point, I tried using 1000 as the max products... I don't know what is misconfigured to make it not work. I turned on debugging but I don't see any debugging info anywhere. My error logs don't show anything, either. Any ideas? I did the CHMOD of the feed and feed/google directories... I uploaded all the files, I did the install.sql patch...

Same problem here, I see the header but no configration options.

I installed it on a 1.5 which wasn't an update from 1.3, so normally I shouldn't have mixed files.
Got an sql error when I did the sql patch so maybe got something to do with that:
12 statements processed.
