PayPal requiring A PayPal Account to process a credit card payment

Has anyone found a way to accept credit card payment without requiring the customer to set up a PayPal account?

I believe the customer can choose to use a card without an account. However, we have been fielding reports for months where the opportunity to do so is missing from the initial PayPal screens. It seems to be intermittent... not always there. I would bet it's a PayPal issue =)

The 100% foolproof way to do this is to set up a credit card gateway like Square or Authorize.

Still, this cannot be done on a standard PayPal account. It needs to be a business account.

I have a business account and it requires the customer to create a paypal account.

Sorry, you don't say whether or not you have set the settings per the instructions. Have you also done that?

Attached is my setup. Still not working.

The setting has to be done in PayPal itself. There is no setting in Zen Cart that controls this.

OK what setting are you referring to in my PayPal account?

I posted the links in post #4. The second of the two links contains detailed instructions.
