I downloaded and installed your Cold Steel template (love it by the way!), but I have two issues...
1- Categories dont display on left sidebar...
2- Where do I find the code to edit the size of the logo? I uploaded my own in place of the default one but it was set to whatever dimensions your default logo is and I need to change those dimensions.

It should do this based on the locale settings in your YOUR_LANGUAGE.php file

Yes these are all enabled. I did a series of disabling the files used for this module and it seems that something on the tpl_product_info_display.php is breaking the code. If I disable this and use the original tpl_product_info_display.php, all the buttons show up.
I noticed that on your demosite using this module and template, you also do not show the buttons review and tell a friend, has this been disabled in yours?

On other things, I'm trying to integrate COWOA into the template. On another site I was able to enter the COWOA code into tpl_login_default with the split login screen false section. On the cold steel template I was doing the same thing but for some reason the COWOA login does not show up on the login page.

On the layout boxes control, the document_categories.php sidebox is under the cold_steel template and the document_categories on the template default is not found. When I try to have the document_category appear by creating a document_general product, it does not show up on the sidebox.
How do I make this appear? Thanks

Thanks for all your help. I have another question. On the lower left side of the template, the store name and address appears. I would like to change this to something else, a logo of an organization we are part of, and some information about this.
I know I can "fake" the logo by just creating an image file and adding the logo to it however how do I remove the Store address and replace it with some other text or else just disable it all together?

I am using the bettercategories file on my documents category and ezpages sidebox.
On firefox it looks fine but on internet explorer, it is looking for the image files that came with it.
I noticed on your version of the categories, all you had was a dot instead of an image and it looks okay on i.e too. Would you please let me know how I can do the same for my documents category and ez pages sidebox? Thanks again for all your help!!

We are currently using a GODaddy SSL and their site seal is slow to load. So what happens is everytime, anything is clicked on the main page the whole site reloads without the middle portion showing waiting for the sidebox godaddy seal to load (Btw, I used a banner ad to sidebox for this.) Once it is loaded the main page is shown.
On the other website I made, I prevented this by putting the seal site on the right hand bottom side so the loading flow would go from left sidebox, to mainpage and the right sidebox is last.
Is there a way to manipulate the flow of page load to make the sidebox godaddy seal be last?

I am trying out your Cold Steel Template on a new site. It looks good and it its clean. I would like to change a couple of lines but cant find where to do this.
1) On the login or register page I want to change this line

2) If you add a item to the cart before you register or sign in I want to delete this line.

Every thing works correctly except for this page. My SSl is workly properly.

I downloaded cold steel and once installed my template_select.php page goes blank. All the other admin pages function correctly.
I have other templates installed and working so I am not new to installing templates. I retored to my backup, all my other templates work again after restore. I then tried to re-install cold steel a second time with same result. So, now I have restored to my back up once again and am trying to find the issue.
I really like the look of your cold steel template and would like to try again.
Any thoughts on why the template selection page just disappears?

I did them all just to make sure I wasnt missing anything, and everything shows up except for the count of the categories. I switch back to the default template and the category counts then appear. In your template, the counts may not display by design, but if you can tell me where I can modify this in your code, that would be much appreciated. I may not even keep the counts on, but needed to present it as an option to my customer.

I would appreciate your help with my Cold Steel template installation.
I've downloaded and installed Zen-Cart v1.3.8a on my G4 Mac running OS 10.4.11 and using FF3. Everything seems to be OK so far. Then I've installed Cold Steel to my hard drive...
users/******/sites/ZenCart by opening the includes folder and installing the files in reverse order according to the uninstall instructions. When I attempt to change the template in Admin I get a blank page, and then cannot access any template.

Phew! Two hours later and up and running again, so uninstalled Cold Steel folders and had the luxury of accessing the Classic template afterwards.
Just in case my earlier fiddling and Apache crash had an influence I reinstalled Cold Steel, but got the same error log message as previously. Uninstalled folders as per your instructions - over to you again Clyde.

I've got it solved Clyde.
The problem turned out to be permissions in the various folders. I've reset them to match those set in the Classic Template and all seems to be in order now.
My limited understanding is that for my inbuilt Mac server the folders/files can be dragged to the appropriate locations in order for them to function correctly. Does this process fail to set the correct permissions I wonder? Seeing as I don't know if FTP can be performed when loading onto my own drive I did it this way, but I should investigate the FTP options for future use!

I wasn't game to do that as I assumed it would delete what was already there. So I disassembled your includes folder and relocated the various folders to their target locations. That's not difficult, as you provide good uninstall instructions that identify where the various files & folders reside. I knew I had all the bits in the correct places so it had to be something relatively simple, as the Classic template was working as it should. That's when I checked the file permissions and found the problem.
If anyone has a better method I would be pleased to hear about it.

Hi Clyde,
I'm trying to make it so that only the category images display on the main page - not the image and category name. My category image is a logo that contains the category name, so having both listed is redundant.
I've searched some other posts in the support forum, but I have not had any success in any of the suggestions posted. Maybe it is something template specific that needs to be done?
I want to keep the subcategories showing the category name and image - its just the top level categories on the main page I want to only display the image for. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - I really like your Cold Steel template!

I did your fix and now the category name does not show on the main categories, which is what I wanted!
However, now the category name is gone from the sub-categories as well, and I need those there. Is there a way to specify only the top level categories to apply this code fix to? Thanks again for your help and quick replies, it is much appreciated!

My mistake when I told you it was google ad that is having a problem displaying. It was actually another ad that is causing the problem, the code of which was taken from PhpAdsnew. I changed its invocation code so there's no more problem.
I also managed to add the header bar.

This template is working really well for me, and I'm foolishly pleased with like the look of my new site (www.acmefibres.com). I'm still uploading products into it, but I think it's pretty much got the look I'm going to keep.
