I'm in the process of setting up my firt Zen shop and I am using this template which I like alot. thanks

I want to make some modifications to the look of the shop (I've added litebox which has integrated nicely) especially the look of the product info page.

I'd like to play around with the arangement of the product image, title, price etc. on the product info pages example here
I've tried looking at files that i found in the includes/templates/avonlee_contempo/templates folder but it didn't make sence to me... I'm pretty new to this

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

The template file that controls the layout of the product info page is includes/templates/avonlee_contempo/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php. You will probably also need to edit the includes/templates/avonlee_contempo/templates/stylesheet.css.

I had some success moving the product image and description around using the includes/templates/avonlee_contempo/templates/stylesheet.css. file.

I have been trying to move the product options/attributes list over to the right above the 'add to cart button' on this page for example

any help with this would be greatly appreciated

This is best achieved by editing the the tpl_product_info_display.php file.

Whenever you move things around using css you will need to re-do all of the cross browser testing to be sure that you have not broken the page in any particular browser. The un-edited version of the template has been cross browser tested on all major browsers.

It is not a template specific question. You don't need to search for the template at all. Just search for something like "add links more information".

Thanks I got that fixed now. I was actually thinking where would I edit if I wanted the logo in a seperate header than in the white box page layout. For example I added a bg behind the layout instead of the off white bg you had and I would like the logo on top of my bg.

I have installed your Avonlee Contempo Template here. On version zen-cart-v1.3.9. It's a great template! I've made a modification (auctions), but I'm now at a standstill. Can you please assist me? I am willing to pay for the help if necessary! The site is going to be a comic book sales and auction site. I've narrowed and centered the slider show. It's now 250 pixels wide. But there are two large spaces on each side of the slider. I would like to place images (jpgs or gifs) on the empty sides of the slider image. Or have three sliders-side by side in a row. I would also like to place a title above the slider image. Looking forward to your response.

Hi, I fixed the slider size but I'm having one problem. The slider works well in IE browser but not in the Goggle Chrome browser. It worked fine in both until I put the slider in a table. I think it has to do with the placement of the DIV tags. The error is: "Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined". Can anyone assist with
this issue?

that I can understand. I've installed a slider script that works well

I am new to Zencart and trying to move away from the default design.

I installed ZenMagick, actually, which uses the ZenCart administration.

For the template, I dropped the includes folder into the folder above the already existing includes folder. Everything appeared to sort into the right place.

I went to Tools>Selection and chose the Avonlee Contemp option. I clicked reset. I changed the specified options to be single-column, as per your installation instructions.

But it is not showing up when I look at my store site. The only change I see, is under the default module "New Products," there is a piece of a large photo from another page.

Thank you for any guidance you can provide. I love all of your designs!

This is a zen cart template. I am not familiar with zenmagik, but I found this by yellow1912 whom I consider to be a good authority:

"ZenMagik totally changed ZC core code. While it may be good, it's kinda like a ZC fork."

All of these customizations are possible and are asked quite frequently on the forums. I would recommend searching the forums, the tutorials/faq's section, and the free software addons section. These questions are not really template specific and the info that you find on the forums and tutorials, etc. can be applied to the template.

somehow when I trasfered the template over, the slider code that is supposed to be on the "define_main_page" is no there... the java scripts and all files were uploaded... but I do no see the code that is supposed to be there... anyone have have this code?

This code is in the template package. Move the template zip file it to a temp directory on your computer and unzip it. Then you can just upload the entire package again, or upload just the define_main_page.php.

Found the .php file to edit easy enough... however, I cannot figure out how to align the box to the left??? I don't want to keep posting to find out because I know its annoying, is there a place to go to figure out how to edit each page?

This will be done in the stylesheet.css. I would recommend re-uploading the original tpl_product_info_display.php file as there is a problem with this page when viewed in firefox. The width is super wide creating a bottom scroll bar. Probably easier to start from a fresh file.

With FireFox 3.6.16 everytime I try and click the logo image to return to home the page drops down a 1/4" then pops back to the top.

Doesn't do it with IE 8 or Chrome.

Did I miss a setting?

Hi

I changed a couple images in the slider and now the home page won't load.

I copied the slider code into an EZ page and none of them display! Just the alt text. It's like it can't read the images folder now. I literally just changed an image and now it's broken.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I too am working with the avonlee contempo template .. the same one as Tapper. I am curious.. the top category font weight seems to be tied into the subcategory font weight. when I change it, it changes the other. is there any way for me to get the main category headings in bold and the subcategories in normal weight to seperate the two when the subcats expand?

If you can't differentiate these with the classes that are already there, then you will need to add a class to the element that you want to change. Use the developers toolkit to find the files you need to edit.

First of all, I'd just like to say thank you for making such a wonderful template, and doubly thank you for releasing it for free.

I am having an issue with the sliding images. I would like to have this feature on my website, but as soon as I add a product it completely disappears. Clicking "home" leads me to the product as well, it seems like I completely lose a default page?

I have followed the settings on the images you provided in the help file as far as layout settings is concerned, so I am stumped as to why this might be?

Switch back to the classic template and see if this still happens when you click on the home link.

As long as I put the product in a category (which is fine, that's what I intended to do anyway), the sliding images don't disappear. However now I have noticed that the left hand menu that is meant to display the categories is non-existant.

This is not a template bug. There are too many people using it successfully :smile: The template only uses overrides and does not effect any core functionality. I would recommend removing the template and re-installing it.

Gorgeous template!. I have downloaded this template and am currently having a play with it on 1.3.9. With regards to the main_page using the define_pages_editor, I am not able to put any html under the slide script. When I try it throws the slides out and they end up in a column on the page.

In the install.txt file it specifies to only use the plain text editor when editing the define_main_page.php via the zen cart admin. This is because the html editor will break the code. If you edit the page using the plain text editor you can add your code or just open the includes/languages/english/html_includes/avonlee_contempo/define_main_page.php in your favorite plain text editor and make the changes.

I would recommend uploading the original define_main_page.php that comes with the template package and starting from there.

Once I click on the CLICK HERE, it apper the following message.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Please advice... I cant found any solution for this ..

I am sorry, but I have no idea what you are asking? Can you be more specific? What section of which page are you trying to modify? Are you trying to convert an excel document into html? If this is so then this is not a template specific question. I would recommend posting on a different forum for help or searching on google or the excel documentation for your answer.

First of all, thank you for making such a beautiful template available. I'm hoping that once things are up and running I can send some love (cash) back your way for your contribution.

I have gone over everything several times, paying special attention to the layout settings and everything is working except one thing: I can't see the left column at all. I have doublechecked my installation, and everything appears to be in order.

Love the design, great work. I had it installed and it looked great. I then started to go through the install.txt and somewhere after resetting the sidebars and doing the admin settings, I now have a right purple column with different side bars and a blue bar that I cannot get to go away anymore. I have deleted everything and reinstalled and it still comes up. I have gone through the install.txt file multiple times from the beginning and nothing seems to get rid of it. Do you have a screenshot of what the "Column Boxes avonlee_contempo" screen is suppose to look like? Maybe a setting in there is changed from default that I'm not getting right.

I'll keep digging, but any help would be appreciated.

Hi All

I was having serious probs with my Easy Slider freezing on the homepage. It would work on my coworker's PC, not mine, mine at home, not my laptop, etc. I was constantly clearing my cache and that would only fix it sometimes.

I added a PVII tab control (nice!!!) and Tabbed Prods Pro. My test EZ Page with Easy Slider and the PVII tab stopped dead. The slider images would stack up and just stop, it never snapped together.

Anyway, this is just to say, if anyone is having issues with the Slider there's a great fix in this thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...&postcount=248

Turns out that when you pile on enough jscripts they can interfere with each other. Load order makes the difference between fast execution and a frozen page. That post shows a method to move jscript into a php file. I did it and MAN what a difference in performance. Not just the slider, but all my jscript is practically flying.

I love Avonlee! thanks so much for it. This is just in case someone using Avonlee needs to fix a lag. I think this method should be in the readme of every jscript-using Zen mod. As well as in the reame_jscript.

It sould now work without any errors as the jscript_jquery.js is now loading first

Hello.... thanks for making this template.... I am in the process of installing it.. its done but I cant figure out why I get a green column on the right... I disabled everything on the right side but it shows
a green box that looks terrible....

Do you have any idea of how to change it to white or remove it compleately??
