I am looking for a module or contribution or someone help me build one. This mod. can select certain multiple products from one category to another category at the sametime. Here is an image of it. This is from OScommerce. I hope someone can help me on ths.

What I am wanting to do is as follows:
Specials:
Lets say I have 50 specails and they have already expired I want to delete them all at the same time isntead of delete them one by one.
Products:
I would like check certain products for an example:
Product A, B, C move from Category A to Category B
or Delete A, B, C from Category A all the same time instead one by one.
I hope you know what I am talking about.

Ajeh's does the SAME job, just not as GUI friendly but AGAIN FOLKS, it's BETTER THAN NOTHING.

It WOULD be nice to see that osC mod ported.
Here's what the OP is getting at as opposed to Ajeh's mod.
This allows you to go into a category with products that you choose and you can click on each product(s) and either do one of three things, DELETE AND MOVE TO, COPY TO or DELETE FROM a category.
This is good since there may be 20 products you may want to delete or move or copy from a category rather than having to do each product manually which is a pain in the ######.
It also allows you to turn off products or turn them on. I have attached a screen shot of the osC in a working environment.

1) and 2) are a big deal for people with many categories and multiple linking. This mod is a great improvement to the stock file, please try it out, easy install!

I did an example about 3 to 5 specials they all pulled up and they all deleted all at once when they all selected with a check. That makes it a lot easier where you don't delete each item one by one.

This one is off the topic. I just want to know if you are using Version 1.5.0 yet? I am using 1.3.9h and wanting to go ahead and upgrade to 1.5.0 they say its not ready for live shops. Should I go ahead and upgrade or should I wait til its ready for live shops?
Yes, this is totally off topic and should be its own thread ...
I do not have a problem with using v1.5 for upgrading sites for future activation ... v1.5 is not ready for Live Sites but can be used to prepare upgrading to v1.5 in a test directory to get ready for the release ...
Trying to use it on a Live Site could lead to issues based on finalization of the code ...
I do not know if it is worth running into those possible issues on a Live Site, but I would have no problem starting preparation for upgrading to v1.5 in a test directory with a test database to get a site ready and practice the upgrade from an old site to the new v1.5 site ...
And with each release of v1.5, upgrading that test site to have the new updates ...
I don't actually "find" anything - I just keep FF+HTML validator on all the time to find my mistakes for me. Although the admin pages all have the same validation errors in them, I always check any add-ons to see if they bring any new ones in.Quote:

This is a great tool for products and overlaps a bit with "my" mod for categories. It would be nice to see them both in 2.0...making big-site management much easier, a good selling point maybe!
On this mod you have to be careful and hopefully Linda will look into this.
Here is an example in simple terms. You have TWO CATEGORIES AND ONE TIME IN BOTH CATEGORIES THAT ARE LINKED.
CATEGORY 1 > PRODUCT 1[CATEGORY 1 IS THE CAT ID]
CATEGORY 2 > PRODUCT 1[LINKED TO CATEGORY 2]
Say you no longer need CATEGORY 1 and WANT TO MOVE PRODUCT 1 to CATEGORY 2. The MASTER CATEGORY will still be for CATEGORY 1 and the item will still be in category 1. So you cannot just delete CATEGORY 1. You have to manually change the master ID for that product.
This is for linked items. I know, you're saying it's only one item and you can do it quicker just by moving it. But again, this is to show it in simple terms.
What if you had 50 linked products like I did when I used this.
Maybe I'm using it wrong and someone can correct me.

That are being Moved from the Category:

are not part of the list as they are already in the Move to Category ...
So yes, some things cannot be done with this add on as it does not make logical sense ... or would take away a lot of the ability to try to put that in ...
Currently it is ordered by product id.
I would like to order it by the products sort order.

When attempting a move, and selecting 'Confirm', I get the following error:

Once the products are selected and moved should the next screen, 'Products that were copied to the destination Category' list all products moved? My install lists zero for a move but lists all products for a link change. Products are to the new target category.
Any clues on what I have missed with the install?

A walk through of what i am doing is
-Select the move radio button
-Select destination category
-Search categories with terms
-Select products
-Press Confirm
But after that nothing moves? I'm stumped everything else works

Zen Cart is designed with 1 Manufacturer per Product ...

Somehow I ended up with over 500 manufacturers 300 plus are the same when I loaded the csv file instead of the one manufacturer it created them all as new. So i was just wondering if there was a function to remove multiple manufacturers at the same time with this mod.

Is there by chance a way of adding a sort feature to this so we can find items easier in the list. Currently it sorts only by iyem product number and I add duplicate items and only want to move one of the so I have to hunt down all of them in the list and uncheck.

You can customize the SELECT for the list and add an order by to it around line 344:

We have an issue. When I move 6 or 7 products from one category to another it just moved 1 istead all 6 or 7.
I cannot reproduce the problem ...

Did you have all the Products checked after you hit Preview?

I have a question or a suggestion when you see the products that you are about to move is it possible it will show the products image so you will know which item you are moving?
