My Tell A Friend button does not show, I have looked the source code, and the reference shows as <img src="includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english/BUTTON_IMAGE_TELLAFRIEND". Where can I change this so it shows as <img src="includes/templates/brighton_pets/buttons/english/button_tellafriend.gif"?

Just wanted to say that I like what you have done with this template, colorwise. IMO, most people - including myself - do not do a good job trying to change colors and such. You are an exception.

I also like this template and recently recommended it on the Review thread for someone's coffee site, thinking that the original colors would work with coffee. Possibly change the paw-print bullets to coffee beans.

The other night I put Newport Eco on my secondary site here for testing, and think it looks better than I thought:

You can add anything into the header that you like but you will probably have to play around with the css to get things lined up just the way that you want them.

Sorry, I am back! I am still working on www.simonsezclothing.com. We will not be using the Gift Vouchers, Discount Coupons or Newsletters. I have played around with trying to remove things from the footer, but I seem to mess up all the time. How can I remove the links for these 3 from the footer?

You need to edtit the includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/brighton_pets/footer_menu_defines.php file.

I have tried removing it, just done it, but then it leaves GVFAQCOUPONUNSUBSCRIBE in it's place. How can I get rid of that?

You need to also remove the constants toward the bottom of the file.

Hi there, I'm using your fantastic template as well. Thank you for this nice piece of work!
I installed it on a fresh Zen Cart v1.5.1 installation, and put just 2-3 products with pictures to see how it works.
My question is, how can I make Zen Lightbox to work properly?
It just opens an empty white space where the image should be.

If you install the module correctly, it will work. I would recommend asking questions about the zen lightbox module on its support thread.

I am using this template with CSS/JS loader and a couple other check out modules from Numinix. website is ericendsley.com - The folks at Numinix are helping me out and I feel like I am just one character away from getting this to work properly. If you could take a look at my site and determine anything, I would appreciate it. Asks questions as well.

The slider is not working, it is displaying all 4 pictures down the page, covering up the rest of the content. I've read some of the other posts related to this problem and tried to follow the suggestions but I'm not having any luck.

Nevermind, Numinix figured it out. They created an auto loader and jquery for the easyslider and changed the tpl_home_slide.php, replacing "$(" with "jQuery("

Thanks, it worked.

Anne, I decided to go back to your original colors for now. I re-uploaded all of your original stylesheets, but I now notice that the descriptions under each dress on the product listing is white (invisible):

Refreshing doesn't help, and when I had a grey background the white text showed.

I just made my background a light grey, to hopefully avoid hidden text for Google. Need to change white product listing description to another color:

Found issue by comparing with Newport Eco sheet.

Hopefully this will not cause further issues yet to be discovered.

I also found where in the stylesheet to change the color for What's New, etc.

Are they with the same php language files? I did a Bulgarian translation of Brighton Pets template and friend of mine will use London Grunge template for his e-shop.

The color white in this code is for the sidebox titles for the what's new, featured, and specials sideboxes. This is needed in the brighton pets template because the background color is dark brown.

Bug was wrong choice of word, but it became a further issue when I fixed the sheet to show descriptions on the categories; my color code removal took out the header link color on some of the sideboxes. But I got that fixed so all looks okay.

I looked at this template last night and thought you had no product description showing on the category pages. Now, I just notice that you do have description enabled...but it's invisible on your demo on this template. I can see it if I highlight with my cursor. All of your demo categories have text hidden on Brighton Pets.

Anyway, again, these really are great templates...all of them!

PS: As znlambov states above, this was the problem code (the color was the problem):

Hi there,

I'd like to know how can I set On or Off, product weight, units in stock, manufactured by which are above the product description?
It doesn't work from the admin panel for me. From there I can set this On and Off only for the classic template.

These functions do work from the admin. You must not be editing the correct admin section. A link to the page you are trying to edit would be helpful.

Hi Anne,

Under my Brand drop-down, some of the brand names are cut off. How can I lengthen them?

I tried widening the drop-down and it did not lengthen the names. However, it did cause a mostly desirable side-effect of making my Shop and Brand drop-downs into two-columns, which I think better if have a lengthy drop-down. It did also rearrange the Info and Connect drop-downs but not too horribly. Perhaps one day I can learn to individually style some of the drop-downs.

Anyway, would like to lengthen the Brand names if possible.

I'm trying to translate this magnificent template, but i've hit a small (and frustrating) problem: I can't seem to find out how to translate these 3 brown tabs on the main page (the tabs only, their content is ok): New, Featured, Specials.

Can you help me out?

This is something that I have slated for a future update and have been adding to the other template updates. If you download the Bristol Lace template and copy the files:

includes/templates/override/templates/tpl_index_default.php
includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/override/module_tabs.php

to your template override directories and new language directory, then you can use the tabs in multi language.

You could duplicate the slide show code and add a if statment to show only the correct slide show when the certain language is detected.

Sorry so late, but I just started with this template.. I'm messing with the template.css but I cannot figure out how to change the header background color... or the menu bg color. my website is http://www.orangeoutdoors.net/zen/ I basically want to match the colors from http://orangeoutdoors.net because I will be linking the 2 together. But like i said, I cant figure out how to change the brown and green at the tops and bottoms of the page. Could someone please help me out?

Change the colors at the top by editing includes/templates/brighton_pets/images/bk.png

For the footer change the includes/templates/brighton_pets/images/footer-bk.png

1. how do I remove Documents (and others) of the left side

1. this is just a sidebox in admin--tools--layout boxes controller
2. The slide show code is in includes/templates/brighton_pets/common/tpl_home_slider.php. The easiest way to remove it is to add display:none; to #home-banner in the stylesheet.css file.

Thank you very much, I'm learning..
I added display:none; to #home-banner in the stylesheet.css and nothing changed,
so then, I deleted everything out of tpl_home_slider.css except for the php tags,
Everything is removed, however there is a huge white space at the top..
Any other ideas?

Figured out the white space at the top, Now I have white space at the bottom.. Any way I can remove that?
I have uploaded all of my photos to the images/ images/large/
however, no image is displayed on the site, cannot figure out why, any ideas?

Got most of it figured out now, but i enabled show categories on main page and now there is a huge white space under the footer.. check it out www.orangeoutdoors.net/zen any way to get rid of the huge white space?

Also, I do I remove the words "New Products For" off of all pages, I still want to keep the actual new products, but just remove the words

Also, when I link my page to facebook, it still shows all of the default info.. Such as Brighton Pets, then the meta tags, and the zencart picture.. how do i change all of that to my info?

You need to edit your meta_tags.php file. See the FAQ's section of this site for a tutorial about how to change your sitewide meta tags, etc.

Hi there Anne!
Got a "small" problem... I started adding my items... I can't seem to find why, but all my item descriptions are doubled. I mean they are in the section they are supposed to be, but also in the "add-to-cart box"...

I triple checked the Layout settings, the Product listing and re-did the re-re-check of the step-by-step install guide, and nothing works...

The template is compatible with any modules. If the modules use jquery you need to be careful that you are not calling libraries multiple times or have other jquery conflicts. Also, you should remove the easy slider files before installing any other slide show to avoid problems.

If you do a search in the FAQ's section of this site for how to use ez pages you will find a tutorial that explains how to link an ez page to another page.

You can edit the stylesheet.css file with your changes. If you are going to be making css changes to the template I would recommend using the firefox web deveoper tools and firebug to help you find which lines of which files to edit.

The installation instructions that are included with Image Handler suggest that some files may have to be merged when modifications have been done. I thought you may know off hand if there are any modifications in the Brighton Pets template that would be an issue with this add on.

I'm using this template with ZenCart v1.5.1 and Image Handler 4. For me it works fine. The only issue with IH4 is that in the Admin menu Configuration=>Images the bottom part is blank (not visible text) and that is the part with the IH4 stuff.
As far as I remember, there was an issue with the green/red Status button in the Admin=>Catalog=>Categories / Products menu. It was not working once, but i do not remember was it after IH4 installation or something else.

What a fabulous template!! I am working on a new website, using version 1.5.1.

I have two questions so far.
1) on the internet tab(s) above my web page it still says "Brighton Pets" instead of my website name. How do I change this?
2) there are sideboxes on each side that say "Sponsors". I want to remove these...but I can't seem to figure out how...nothing seems to change as I turn boxes on and off in the layout boxes controller.

Any help is appreciated!!

Doing that pretty much wipes out the whole page. Can you help with the proper coding?

Don't add the target="_blank" to the define statement. Add it to anchor code further down the page.

I have a created a Payment Information page with Define Pages.
I would like to add it to the Mega Menu in the Info/Customer list. I would also like to add the link to the footer under Information.
Generally I can figure out how to make changes, but this one is being a tuffy.

What I did was copy the last line of code and fill in the way that seemed appropriate with the aid of your instructions. There is a difference in what is you suggested and the actual code in the file. That is where the confusion kicks in.

When I click on the Pin It button the product image does not appear, but instead the header image and Paypal images appear as options to pin. The facebook like button works fine.

If you post a link to a product that is not working I can take a look. I suspect that you product images are not large enough. Pinterest has a minimum image size that must be met.

I haven't found any product pages that show the correct image so far. Here is one to look at. If it is the image size issue can you recommend a way to batch re-size without downloading and using Photoshop?

Apparently pintrest wants a 200 pixel minimum and the product image in it's non-enlargerd form is only 120 X 120. The imaged show in the pin it window meet that size criteria.
The product image in it's actual size is 500 x 500. Is there a way to make the image large enough in the smaller form?
