Hi All!
Making trial registrations and everything goes fine with english and german. Costumer registers
gets email about his/her account, welcome and everything.
But in hungarian no email is sent.
Can the problem be in some of the php files? Or in admin?

Is there an /email/xx directory (where xx is the 2-letter code for Hungarian) containing your Hungarian email templates? Are there any debug log files in your /cache folder?

nandor, there should be a directory named /email at the same level within your store's directory structure as the /images directory. That directory will contain the default/english templates and then have two subdirectories /email/de for your German email templates and /email/xx for your Hungarian email templates ... even if the files are identical inside each subdirectory.
i have found it but there are only html and image files in there. Can this be the reason why no hungarian reg. welcome emails are sent out? Then why are english and german emails sent?Quote:

as i see in hungarian is once utf once iso-8859-1 - hopefully this or something like this causes both errors? What to do now?

Nandor, I suggest (at a minimum) that you set all the CHARSET values to utf-8 and all the setlocale calls to use a utf8-type format.

Nandor, I've got a website that has both english and spanish. In my english.php file, I have @setlocale(LC_TIME, 'en_US'); and in my spanish.php file I have @setlocale(LC_TIME, 'es_ES');
This site works with a utf8_general_ci collation in my database and each of my main language files has define('CHARSET', 'utf-8');
I believe that it's the CHARSET value more than the locale value that's messing you up; make sure that all 6 of your main language files have the utf-8 value. Those are the files in the directories /includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE and /YOUR_ADMIN/includes/languages directories.

After this i registered a costumer in hungarian language again, but still no email is sent or comes to my email address. It appears in admin though.

Ok, you're making progress! Now that you've got your store configuration set up properly to use UTF-8, make sure that all your hungarian language files (the hungarian.php files and the files in the /includes/languages/hungarian directories -- both store-side and admin -- have been saved using the encoding style "UTF-8 without BOM".
I use the (free) NotePad++ editor and at the top there's a control called "Encoding" where you can see/change the encoding style for the language to that encoding style. It's a pain in the :censored:, but for my english and spanish files I went through each file, one-by-one, opened each with NotePad++, changed the encoding and saved the file. After I did that, all my encoding issues disappeared.
One other thing you might look at is whether you have any debug log files present in your store's /cache folder. Sometimes, if there are untranslatable characters in a language file there are PHP errors generated.
When you make the customer registration in Hungarian and no email is sent, does the customer show as being registered in your store when you look in your admin?

Nandor, just open (with Windows you can right-click and select Open With ...) the language PHP files using NotePad++. On the top command bar, select "Encoding", choose "UTF-8 without BOM" and save the file. I'm not convinced that this is the issue, but it can't hurt ...

You have two issues going on:
1) The Hungarian emails don't send
2) Some products can be purchased and others can't.
For #1, could you post your current admin settings for Localization->Languages (make sure to obsure/edit-out any account-specific filepath information).
For #2, I think that you will need to do what DrByte and others suggested in your other thread, i.e. you'll need to review each of the Hungarian product descriptions and re-save the information now that the admin is setup to use utf-8 encoding. It seems that the information is stored in non-UTF-8 format for some of the products.

2. i removed two categories and their subcategories and products that couldnt be bought in hungarian. Removed them totally from catalog/categories products and created as first one of the two again. Rewrote all description,prices uploaded photos again , but it still cant be bought with paypal in hungarian language.
3.and the bigger problem is that the reg. email is still not sent in hungarian. Isnt it possible that this welcome email isnt sent because it isnt written or there somewhere among the php-s? Maybe this was a rookie assumption...
I havent found this particular php file, but havent found the english, german neither......

Nandor, if you turn your admin's Configuration->Email Options->Email Archiving Active to true then every email that is actually sent by your store (other than password-forgotten and others like that) will be recorded in your database.
Unfortunately, to view these you'll either need to either install another admin plugin or look directly in your database via phpMyAdmin. Are you familiar with how to access your webhost's phpMyAdmin tool? That's what you'll need to see the results in the email_archive table of your database.
