Responsive Zucando Fashion for ZC 1.5.x
Hi,
I have released a new version of the responsive zucando fashion. I was submitted to the plugin/addon but perhaps mods needed some days to accept it.
So, I'll post the download link here. When you install it and have any problems, please also submit your question here.

Does this mean I have to download bootstrap in addition to the template?

No, it's very easy to install. You can download it and read the readme.txt.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news and I might even be way off but here is my 2 cents.
I do believe Zen Cart is licensed under GNU General Public License version 2.0 (GPLv2) and the Bootstrap code is licensed under Apache License v2.0 and that Apache License v2.0 is not compatible with GPL version 2, which exclude certain patent termination and indemnification provisions.
Unless Zen Cart has changed to be licensed under GNU General Public License version 3.0 (GPLv3). Not sure if they did and if they didn't, changing Zen Carts license from GPLv2 to GPLv3 would be a very simple change administratively/legally and a monumental task culturally. It's not something that's going to happen any time soon IMO unless they already did, although I would like to see it happen eventually for various reasons.
On the other hand:
Version 3.1 of the Bootstrap Code might be moving from the Apache 2 to the MIT license for the Bootstrap code only (not the docs).
Get Excited!

Actually you can remove the bootstrap if it's your problem :). I only use the bootstrap for label, input, select, form.
The main css of this template is stylesheet_layout.css and responsive.css, not bootstrap.css

Let me say what folks are being too polite to say then.. If you have included Bootstrap in your template package, it will be rejected due to the differences in the license of Bootstrap versus the Zen Cart licence.. If as you say your template doesn't REQUIRE Bootstrap, then remove it and resubmit your template..
BOOM!!!now the elephant in the room is gone..

Yes, great looking template, nice job!
I've seen some great looking zencart templates at themeforest based upon bootstrap. If your template should require bootstrap then people could always download it from your site.
Issues: I did notice that when adding to cart on your demo that I get a blank page. When I back-space the item is in the cart.
Also, I'm not certain that your main menu works all the time when I reduce my screen size.
But as others have said, a great contribution. Thanks!

If I remember correctly this would be a violation of the rules for free contributions (requiring an external download to make them usable) and based on cvhainb's own words, it sounds like it would be EASY enough for cvhainb to simply undo the Bootstrap stuff anyway.. He's only using a SMALL part of the framework.. No reason he couldn't adapt any relevant media queries into his template's framework using Zen Cart IDs and classes..
In the LONG RUN it's better to not have to use Bootstrap anyway. There's NOTHING special about Bootstrap that can't be done using existing Zen Cart IDs and classes in a framework designed FOR Zen Cart as rbarbour has already aptly demonstrated is quite doable, and Anne has shown by her release of responsive versions of her template is an easily adoptable framework..

Yea, I meant that people could download it from his site and it not be in the zc plugin area...or anywhere at zc.
I don't know about the bootstrap platform and what it does. All I know is that IMO the best-looking zc responsive templates so far have been on bootstrap (although they are commercial). If it can be done without bootstrap, great.

Re: Responsive Zucando Fashion for Zen Cart 1.5.x
Just one other small thing--I would like to see the "powered by zen cart" credit link in the footer of the template. I know that technically this is not a plugin requirement, but I do think that giving zen cart their credit is a very small thing that template contributors can do
Thanks,
Anne

I understood full well what you meant... And if a submission REQUIRES an external download to be FUNCTIONAL, then this would be a violation of the rules..

Right.. not the place to discuss Bootstrap and what it is.. You could easily Google it if you are curious.. Suffice it to say that the Bootstrap or Zurb frameworks are NOT NEEDED to make a template responsive.. Anne's responsive templates prove it is not needed.. She is using a responsive framework for Zen Cart that rbarbor released.

I stand corrected on the rules of what is required to submit a template which requires Bootstrap.. From the great DrByte..

To clarify, you cannot distribute Bootstrap under GPLv2, because Bootstrap is licensed under a less restrictive license and only presently compatible with GPLv3, not GPLv2.
So, you cannot include Bootstrap files in anything you release under GPLv2, which is what you must use with Zen Cart plugins.
Thus, if you do prepare a Bootstrap theme, you will need to NOT include any Bootstrap files in that theme. You would need to instruct your users to obtain Bootstrap on their own, and perhaps tell them where to put the files to make it work for them.
However, if you can incorporate the media queries which include "label, input, select, form" into your responsive.css, that probably is the better long term plan anyway.. It certainly would eliminate all the MANY support questions you WILL get surrounding downloading and installing Bootstrap..

Simply applying the CSS Attribute Selectors to the main CSS file will suffice.
However, with or without Bootstrap, your template is fluid - not responsive. Your template only responds (changes layouts) at breakpoints (media query) set min, max widths.
Using the stock ZC HTML tables, shrinking and expanding only happens in between those breakpoints if the content within the HTML tables allow it to do so.
This is not a bad thing, and looking at your code you have designed a very nice, easy and adaptable fluid template for Zen Cart (the first of it's kind released actually) if the Bootstrap code is removed.
Again, MO and awesome job on the layout, consistency in design and changing of content based on breakpoints.

CSS is CSS and bootstrap isn't needed to make a template responsive - only a fluid grid.

I just sent you a private message regarding another template that I can not find a post about. Fitness
