Dutch language pack support thread
This will be the official support thread for the Dutch language pack. The language pack can be downloaded from here
Currently Zen Cart versions up to version 1.5.1 are available, but I am working on a version for Zen Cart .1.5.3. This should be finished this week.

Re: Dutch language pack support thread
Hello L,S.
I have a fresh install of zencart 1.5.4 and i am using the dutch language pack for version: 1.5.3.1 Everything is working great sofar i have encountered only two things that are not working. When i am in the admin and i click on the orders none show up. I have to switch to english for the orders that were made to show up.
Also when i am in the public side and logged in as a customer (the site can only be displayed in defeaullt dutch language) the order history will not show up.
I have been looking and goodgling to solve this but i cannot find or discover what to change to resolve this problem. Can somebody help me solve this?
Other then that great work on translating and thank you in advance.

Are there any error log files in your logs folder, those probably have clues in them what is wrong with the language files

No there are no error logs in the log folder. I don't think there will be as the page is displayed like normal only there are no orders displayed. My defeault language is Dutch and on the public site this cannot be changed. On the admin site it sais 0 of 0 orders displayed (Toon 0 tot 0 (van 0 bestellingen) en when i switch to english Displaying 1 to 3 (of 3 orders) and the orders show up.
So i guess it would be the same problem why the order history on the public site when logged in doesn't show. Only Yet to be discovered why the orders will not show up.
Hope this can be resolved i am making this webshop for the wife of a good friend of mine and she is terrible in english.:-) Also it would be great if costumers would have acces to their order history.
Greetz.

Yes i think you're getting somewhere. I see both flags but only an english description I have filled in the dutch translations once before but they were empty. Tried to fill them back in and after pressing update it returns to the screen and the dutch description is empty again. so it won't fill them in. When i switch to dutch on that screen there are no order status present. I added one status in the dutch section to try so i added pending(in afwachting) is added to dutch and when i switch back to English i have the normal ones Plus the one i added in the dutch section. After adding the 4 status that were in the english session i now have them double in english and single in dutch but still nothing is showing up at order section.

UPDATE:
I placed a new order after adding the new status in dutch section and halleluyah it appeared in the order section. The new orders appear in the dutch and english section and the old ones only in the english section. Thank you so much for getting this to work. You're a lifesaver :-) my brain was about to pop.

Re: Dutch language pack support thread
Getting this error since upgrading my store to 1.5.6a...
Quote:
PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant dropdown - assumed 'dropdown' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in .../includes/templates/responsive_classic/common/tpl_currency_header.php on line 78.
Anyone else encountering this?

Re: Dutch language pack support thread
That file is not a file in a default install of Zen Cart. You better ask in the support thread of the module you used from which that file originates. I also fail to see what this has to do with the Dutch language pack.

Re: Dutch language pack support thread
As you all know Zen Cart 1.5.7 has been released. The Dutch translations for Zen Cart 1.5.7 are also done. The only thing need is to update the documentation, so it can be uploaded to the add-ons section.
For now you can find the complete pack (minus updated documentation) here on my GitHub repo

Philibel/Design75 if you would consider adding the zc_install like torvista's Spanish pack it would allow people to install Zen Cart in their own language... I believe that files can be added so that the whole experience is done in their language.... this would be a great thing to transition ZC to be more friendlier with non-english speakers. The Display log module only has about 3 sentences that need a translation and the zc_install has a main.php with quite a few translations needed. I don't want to get my fingers in your masterpiece so maybe if Philibel puts the items together then Design75 could translate the needed files into Dutch?
Thank you!
P.S. I would love to see the zc_install in the other language packs you have stepped up to make up to date also. Thank you in advance to all those you will be making ZC much friendlier to work with and to those you already have helped!

Wow-wow, shrimp-gumbo-mmmhhh, are you a fortune teller? :rotflmao:
It was already in the to do list for July. But I'm planning to place them as separate plugins. For multi-lingual stores, only the one in the admin's native language is needed and not the optional languages for customers.

But that's exactly what the zc_plugin folder is about. The one that is in all three of the language packs.
Language_Pack_files\zc_plugins\DisplayLogs\v3.0.0\admin\includes\languages\that_ language\ display_logs.php and extra_definitions-folder\display_logs_name.php
The first has 26 definitions of which one long :sleep1: one, the latter only two short ones.

Great! One language pack takes up roughly 2MB (actually less than) of space and 332 files.... it would be nice to see 10 of the worlds most common languages as standard in the download so that no other downloads were needed.... only talking 3,320 files and 20mb of space to open it up.
Please forgive... I am doing multiple things at the same time and things start running together.... so forgot that Display logs was not in the zc_install.
Thank you for all your doing!

That's an American expression from people whose ancestors were Dutch. As it's not an expression used in The Netherlands or the Dutch speaking area.
In The Netherlands (mostly the area what we call above/north of the rivers) they'll call such people "kouwe kak".
You can test their knowledge of Dutch by answering that as a test.
For pronunciation and translation, I'll have refer you to Google Translate <=link
Enjoy!

Are you Dutch Philibel? I was talking to some Dutch guys on a game and told them my great grandmother was Dutch and told them she was known for having a terrible temper. They said that Dutch people don't have bad tempers. LOL...

Depends on the definition. :D Nationality, language, cultural, ...
A type of temper doesn't depend on where you're from but more to a mix of genetics, upbringing, cultural, life experiences, ... so that claim is to say it like a psychologist would say: total BS.
Also in the north people have in general more a habit of strait out saying what they mean to your face. In cultures where this isn't done, it can be seen as rude or bad tempered. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Re: Dutch language pack support thread
I was going to try to rebuild this language pack but I am too busy and cannot do it. Someone else will have to. Apologies, Shrimp-Gumbo
