Hi Dan here you go I downloaded this from Dreamscape a week or two back - hope its the one you are looking for.
PM me if you have any problems :)
It is in my sig.
Hi,
I'm currently lost in trying get Dreamscape's MZMT & Zen Cart's Zone Rates Shipping Modules working properly.
No matter what I've done, the output (when customers check out) of MZMT look like this:
Ground (0 x 0.00g) $0.31
Second Day (0 x 0.00g) $0.31
Next Day (0 x 0.00g) $0.31
($0.31 is the handling fee i've set up in admin, so the module found no product and its weight in shopping cart)
(I've configured the products_weight and the figures in shipping table properly, or it's what I thought, at least)
Zones rates module seem to have the same problem.
Any ideas to solve this? pls help. My zen cart version is 1.3.0.1
Thanks you in advance
I supposed my previous post didn't appear on support forum.
So, I make a reply to my own post hoping that it would solve the problem and a person with the answer will see my thread.
Thanks.

P.S I've made this post a day before in a forum that seem to be dead and can't figure out how to close it. So, pls don't blame me to be a double-posting rascal. Thanks.
Hi if you would like to PM me I will try and help you sort this problem out - as I have now finally managed to get mine to work as I want.Quote:

Here is my altered MultiGeoZone 1.000 for use in the UK. Please be aware that the two sql scripts will probably need to be altered as they are designed for my own installation. Hopefully it will help others out - also please remember that the original MultiGeoZone mod was created by its author and not me - I have just altered it for my own use.Quote:

Best regards,
The problem seems to be in my tweaked store, not in MZMT and Zones rates, as it works fine on original 1.3.0.1 zen cart store.
I've got to figure out what causes problem or else have to again work with original zen cart 1.3.0.1 from scratch, and it's labour-intensive.
To solve the problem, I'd be much appreciated if anyone could show me the way these modules and Zen Cart interact since it appears that, in my store, MZMT and Zones rates cannot find the number of the products in cart and show the zero (0) number instead. By the way, other shipping modules (come with zen cart) work fine.
Thanks and best regards.
as seen here: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...t=36270&page=2
i am having a similar problem. I installed the Geo module and it filled in the rates, but it doesn't seem to be the right rates, AND it adds 3KG to any order people make!
if you have a solution for this plase pm me. I am willing to pay someone to fix it up for me, it's quite urgent.
Zen Cart does that. It's in one of the configuration options, though I don't recall exactly which one.Quote:

I used Jayson's file but i am not sure it's up to date or accurate.
Clearly, it's me who cause my own trouble. Changed the value of "Config -> shipping/packaging -> Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship" to zero (0) at the very first time and completely forgot what I've done before.
Now, making several changes to the values in shipping/packaging and everything just can't be better.
Thank you dreamscape for making MZMT a great mod and all other people for your help so far.
Best regards.
Hi i created the rates in accordance with the Royal Mails April 2006 'Pricing made easy' booklet that is available from any Post Office.Quote:

Actually I'm not sure this is what I need.
I need to provide different shipping options, ie:
Ground
Overnight
Weekend Delivery
With different pricing...
Ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Dan
This mod will take care of this for you no problems :yes:Quote:

I don't want to ship to anywhere outside Australia. I'm using a chart of 14 zones with different rates for quantity (bottles of wine, in fact). So I thought that I'd followed the instructions properly but it doesn't work.
When putting in the address details, there is a field for state. Sometimes after I try to go to the next page, an error is returned telling me to select a state from the drop down list - this is actually the zone codes, not state codes. At other times the state is automatically altered to a zone code but it is not necessarily the correct code. Therefore the wrong shipping cost is supplied.
Have I put my zones in too many places or what? Can I add a zone field to the address block which would not override the state field? What am I to do?
I am feeling so frustrated with this - after almost a week I have accomplished very little when it is just so easy to do in previous shopping cart programs I have used.
Can you post a link to your site? That way we can see exactly the problem you are having and try and give you exact fixes.
Absolute
I don't how that will help, but ... http://www.baskervillewines.com.au/zencart
I've added a product called stupid test but apart from that have made no other changes to the catalog. Frankly, if I can't get the shipping sorted out there is no point in persevering with Zencart.
There is something a miss with your cart at the moment, as every page I try to access returns a MySQL error.
If you haven't added anything to your store, can I suggest that you start over with a fresh install of the latest Zen 1.3? It will honestly save you loads of time in the future if you want to use any additional modules.
Absolute
I realise it's crap. That's why I told you to use the product "stupid test".
The problem I have isn't with your cart design - it is with a major error with the product listing page. If you install the new version of zen, or just a fresh copy, this will cure your problem, and then I can help you with the zone problem
Absolute
It is worked on 1.3.0.1 ?
Im install it but something dosnt work.. i mean..
Hi if you post some details about what is wrong i will try and help out - I have to say I only have limited knowledge on this wonderful mod as I am not the author, just a use. So post away and we will see how we get on:blush:
maybe only I cant use MZMT mode with new zen-cart ?
Please tell me - it worked with last zen-cart or not ?
I send emails to develepers and to you
problem is folowing:
Estimate shipping show $0
Geo Zone 1 Shipping Table 1
1:13.9,2:14.9,3:16,4:17.1,5:18.2,6:19.3,7:20.3,8:21.4,9:22.5,10:23.6
The rates quoted above only allow for items over 1kg/lbs depending on your weight type if the cheapest rate for you is 13.9 for upto 1kg/lbs the do the following:Quote:

The current version doesn't support upper limits. The next version does, I just have to find some extra time to get it finished & ready to be released. Hopefully that will be within the next few weeks.
Hi
Thankx for the response, but the issue hasn't been resolved:

Will this upper limited be global or on a per table basis? Per table would be a great option as here in the UK we have a couple of services available with different upper limits attached to them. Look forward to seeing the next release :thumbsup:Quote:

- inner adding/subtracting specification, i.e., a shipping spec such as "$3 + 5.5%"
- handling fee per table (which also support advanced calculations of intervals an inner adding)

Wow, so if I'm understanding things right, you could have:
Shipping Method 1
0 LBS-2 LBS
Shipping Method 2
2+ LBS - 4 LBS
Shipping Method 3
4+ LBS - infinity
The idea is that lightweight orders would display only Shipping Method 1, medium weight orders display only Shipping Method 2, and heavy orders display only Shipping Method 3.
If this is true, this would be a mondo feature.
:)
Yes that is exactly correct (and one of the most requested reasons for having upper limits).Quote:

Oh, forgot to ask...
Will the new version be compatible with zc 1.2.7d ?
Many thanks :-)
I’ve set up MultiGeoZone in zencart v 1.3 and it works but I would like to add more tables to my zones. The documentation says that tables can be added in Admin -> Configuration -> MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping but this only lets me change the number of zones. How do I change the number of tables?
Thank you,
Dave Murry
You should have 2 options here:
Admin -> Configuration -> MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping
Number of Geo Zones
Number of Tables per Geo Zone
I only have one option for the number of zones. I'll try to re-install.
Run this if you have problems with the included install SQL file.
Code:--
-- Set the number of geo zones and tables per geo zone that you want in the initial install
-- (these can also be changed later on from the Zen Cart admin Configuration section)
--
SET @num_geozones = '3';
SET @num_tables = '3';
--
-- There shouldn't be a need to edit below this line
--
SELECT (@group_id := configuration_group_id) FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title = 'MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping';
DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_group_id = @group_id;
DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_key = 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_NUMBER_GEOZONES';
DELETE FROM configuration WHERE configuration_key = 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_NUMBER_TABLES';
DELETE FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_id = @group_id;
INSERT INTO configuration_group VALUES ('', 'MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping', 'The options which configure the MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping Module', '1', '1');
SELECT @group_id := LAST_INSERT_ID();
UPDATE configuration_group SET sort_order = @group_id WHERE configuration_group_id = @group_id;
INSERT INTO configuration
VALUES
('', 'Number of Geo Zones', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_NUMBER_GEOZONES', @num_geozones, 'The number of shipping geo zones.', @group_id, '0', NULL, now(), NULL, NULL),
('', 'Number of Tables per Geo Zone', 'MODULE_SHIPPING_MZMT_NUMBER_TABLES', @num_tables, 'The number of shipping tables per geo zone.', @group_id, '1', NULL, now(), NULL, NULL);
I get the error below when I run the sql file. My configuration_group table is named zen_configuration_group. I don't know enough about sql to make the change needed to run the file correctly. Can you help?
Code:--
-- There shouldn't be a need to edit below this line
--
SELECT (
@group_id := configuration_group_id
)
FROM configuration_group
WHERE configuration_group_title = 'MultiGeoZone MultiTable Shipping';

Ok, so - since your configuration_group doesn't exist, simply go to your admin section - > tools - > SQL Patches.Quote:
#1146 - Table 'bbhccom_zencart1.configuration_group' doesn't exist
Then, execute the following SQL Statement:
If it is not possible to access this page, due to excessive missing infos, simply go to your phpmyadmin and execute this one instead:Quote:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS configuration_group;
CREATE TABLE configuration_group (
configuration_group_id int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
configuration_group_title varchar(64) NOT NULL default '',
configuration_group_description varchar(255) NOT NULL default '',
sort_order int(5) default NULL,
visible int(1) default '1',
PRIMARY KEY (configuration_group_id),
KEY idx_visible_zen (visible)
) TYPE=MyISAM;
However, the first solution would still be advisable to use if it is possible to access. :wink2:Quote:
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS bbhccom_zencart1.configuration_group;
CREATE TABLE bbhccom_zencart1.configuration_group (
configuration_group_id int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment,
configuration_group_title varchar(64) NOT NULL default '',
configuration_group_description varchar(255) NOT NULL default '',
sort_order int(5) default NULL,
visible int(1) default '1',
PRIMARY KEY (configuration_group_id),
KEY idx_visible_zen (visible)
) TYPE=MyISAM;
From there, retry the multigeozone configuration page to see if this error occurs again. If it does, then I would suggest to back up this table, (once you have properly set up all your configurations from that MOD), in order to avoid this problem in the future. :thumbsup:
The file is designed so it can run from the Zen Cart SQL Patch tool in the Zen Cart admin. It will automatically add the db prefix if needed.Quote:

Here's how it is setup so far:
Module has been installed without headache.
- Updated the config files and setup with 8 Geo Zones and 2 Tables in each (Usually Metro / Regional for each Australian States)
- Updated the Shipping Module Shipping File to reflect that and uploaded. along with the other files.
- I then setup a new GeoZone in 'Zone Definition' called Shp: Australian States and put the 8 States in it choosing from the available list when inserting new zone.
- I then Updated accordingly the Shipping Module in Admin to reflect that. (Attached each listed Geo Zone to the 'Shp: Australian States' zone and applied the tables.
But every test purchase comes up with the same zones every-time (the last one, 8???)
What am I doing wrong, did I miss something?
Is there a way to nominate in the Shipping Module which Zone each Geo-zone shipping detail belong to?
Please help....
the URL at present of the site is www.go-home.com.au/showroom/
You've only made 1 geo zone definition, which includes the whole of Australia.
If you want to split Australia into 8 geo zones, then that is precisely what you have to do: create 8 unique geo zone definitions
:bangin:
The module does not require a degree in rocket science to operate, but it does require a little sense ;)
Thank you so much for your help, it is all good now, great contribution ;)

Hello
I am being an idiot somewhere along the line.
I have installed this module ran the royal mail script then the multi geo zone script.
I want the shipping to be price based
For Royal Mail Uk
I have shipping table 1
199.99:1.17, 200:0
shipping table 2
5000;4.50
however in my basket the rates are showing as 0
I want orders up to £199.99 = £1.17 order £200 and over free
but with the option that for order upto £5000 next day delivery will be £4.50
Totally stuck - I managed to install this on another site with no problems
Only items to test with are here:
http://paulalindsay.bpweb.net/index....ndex&cPath=1_6
Any help appreciated
Just another question!
Why won't the zones I created show up in Multigeo-Multizone?
I have one zone for all the US and one for everything else.
Is there a Multigeo-Multizone zone sql for Canada?
Thanks for any help!
Shelia
Still trying to find out what went wrong with my install of the geo zones module - for some reason all the infomation had went into the zones tables in shipping - have removed these but to no avail??
The only difference between this install and the previous one which worked fine is that this store has the advanced attributes controller.
Help - this is now not working doesn't and I need it - not 100% sure how I uninstall and reinstall (and yup having used this module before I didn't back up before running this..ho hum )
My client has two types of products, small and large. All products are shipped at a flat rate per product. Small items (videos) are shipped via US Postal Service and larger items are shipped via UPS. Customers do not get to choose since the drop shipper only offers these choices. This currently works just fine for the continental U.S. with the per unit module set up to use the product shipping weight as the actual shipping amount in $. This is not ideal but it works. Unfortunately, I don't think this method will work for multiple geo zones (Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico).
My client now wants to offer shipping rates for Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico but those are also set at a different flat rate amounts per product as determined by the drop shipper.
To complicate things further, it needs to be set up so that when you purchase one video, the shipping is $4.00. If you buy two videos, the first is $4.00 shipping and quantities greater than one are shipped at $2.00 for each after the first, e.g. 1st video = $4 shipping, 2nd video = $2.00 shipping, total shipping for two videos = $6.00, 3 videos = $4+$2+$2=$8. ( I currently have something working that accomplishes this using a combination of per unit/per weight unit as the shipping amount and the handling fee thanks to Ajeh's help)
I have seen many recommendations for the MZMT contribution since it is so flexible but feel a bit stupid since I can't seem to figure out how to make it work or configure it properly on my test server. I am not sure if this is what I need or if I need to seek a different solution.
Would MZMT allow me to do these kinds of shipping configurations? If not, any suggestions on how I might accomplish the above configuration for different geo zones?
Thanks,
cpk
Hey Peanut77
I think your tables are the problem, try:
shipping table 1
0:1.17,199.99:0
shipping table 2
0:4.50
s
:lol:
You can custmize your Shipping Modules ...
Take item.php ... 2 files to customize:
Copy to the files:Quote:
/includes/modules/shipping/item.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/item.php
Global replace item with usperitems ...Quote:
/includes/modules/shipping/usperitems.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usperitems.php
Global replace ITEM with USPERITEMS ...
WARNING: be aware free_shipping_items does not get touched ...
Next make one for Alaska, Hawaii, etc.
Copy to the files:
Do basically the same on global replace but with usperitemsislands case sensativeQuote:
/includes/modules/shipping/usperitemsislands.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usperitemsislands.php
On usperitems set Handling to 2.00 and Per Item charge to 2.00
This makes 1st product $4.00 and additional +$2.00
Make your Zones for these Shipping Modules ...
Once all done, you have your separate shipping modules for each area ...
NOTE: check MZMT and see if that doesn't have built in a per item charge like this as it would be easier and more flexible to use that if it does ...
I considered cloning the shipping module as I have seen you recommend it to others before but since I am using the product shipping weight as the actual shipping dollar amount, I didn't think that cloning the shipping module would work. I thought MZMT might offer me more control over different products and regions.
What I need is the ability to have a specific shipping price for each individual product for shipment to continental U.S. and different price for each product for Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico (which would be considered the same region since individual product pricing is the same for AK,HI, PR).
What complicates this further is that I also have to have the ability to offer reduced shipping pricing for customers who purchase more than one video and have that discount apply only to shipping on videos. That is why I provided the example in my first post.
The solution you recommended in the other post works fine for one region but I am at a loss as to how to provide different shipping amounts for different geo zones since I have used the individual products shipping weight field for each product for the continental U.S. region already.
Maybe I am mistaken but I thought I might have to switch to another shipping mod entirely to accomplish this and MZMT looked like it might be the solution but I am unsure if I can set a table rate for every product in each geo zone.
Thanks,
cpk
You can clone the Per Unit perweightunit shipping module ...
And set each up for a different Zone ...
The difference would be what you set the Rate to be in the module ...
Example:
US set to 1.00
UK set to 2.00
etc.
Hi all,
With reference to the mzmt module, below is from Jason Guerney's royal mail 'royalmail_geozone.sql' file.
('', 'Shp: Royal Mail UK', 'Royal Mail: UK Only', NULL, now());
INSERT INTO `zones_to_geo_zones` VALUES
('', 222, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now()),
('', 241, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now()),
('', 242, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now()),
('', 243, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now()),
('', 244, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now()),
('', 245, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now()),
('', 246, '', last_insert_id(), NULL, now());
Now, I am no programmer, but from looking at the code above, I would say that its for UK deliveries, and the 222, 241, 242 etc.... numbers are the country ID's for countries included in this shipping zone, I am needing to modifiy Jason's sql for my own needs, so that I am shipping to England/Scottish (lowlands)/Wales, N.Ireland, RO Ireland, France, USA, Canada and a number of other countries in Europe - unfortunately, for the life of me, I cannot find an exhaustive listed of what country id number ref to which country.
ie: 222 = England
241 = N.Ireland etc...
The above are guesses, and are most probably wrong... but I hope you understand what I'm after.
Many Thanks, Vaughn, S.Wales, UK.
I am using the MZMT module for different shipping tables based on price. If a virtual product is ordered, no shipping is calculated.
But if a product requiring shipping is ordered, the shipping is calculated based on the total price instead of just the shipped products price.
L., I use the built in Zen Cart functions to get the totals to use in calculations, so as long as you're using a version of Zen Cart that has these functions, it should work fine.
See around line 190 of the module:
As long as the shopping cart class in your version of Zen Cart has the "free_shipping_prices" method, it should be working fine, that is unless the cart:: free_shipping_prices() method is not working properly or something else isn't quite setup right, but I don't know.PHP Code:
function determineTableMethod($geozone_mode) {
global $total_count, $shipping_weight;
switch ($geozone_mode) {
case 'price':
if (method_exists($_SESSION['cart'], 'free_shipping_prices')) {
$this->order_total = $_SESSION['cart']->show_total() - $_SESSION['cart']->free_shipping_prices();
} else {
$this->order_total = $_SESSION['cart']->show_total();
}
break;
/* ... */
}
I forget which version cart::free_shipping_prices() was introduced in, but it was awhile ago I know because the main reason I have that if statement around it is for semi-backward compatibility with older versions of Zen Cart.
I believe this is the correct way to accommodate free shipping items when the base is the price. If you look in the core's standard table shipping module (table.php), it does the same thing (about line 90):
PHP Code:
// shipping adjustment
if (MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE_MODE == 'price') {
$order_total = $_SESSION['cart']->show_total() - $_SESSION['cart']->free_shipping_prices() ;
/* ... */
Just create the geo zone definition through the Zen Cart admin. Doing an SQL import is quicker for sure, but if you don't know what you're doing, then the standard method of creating the zone definitions in the admin is by far easier and less error prone. (plus once you get it entered, you could export the SQL if you wanted to for future use)
There's a small video on the MZMT index page that shows how to go about making geo zone definitions in the admin, if you're not sure how to. To keep the size small, the camera pans around quite a bit, but you should be able to follow it. On the MZMT index page, look for the link titled Download "Shipping Geo Zones Creation Help Video". I think it is in QuickTime format.
Thank you for the quick reply!
I narrowed down the problem to this line
$_SESSION['cart']->free_shipping_prices()
returning $0.
I double checked in the Admin>Catalog that I have this product marked as virtual. Also I checked the SQL database to make sure 'virtual_product' was equal to 1.
Then, when going through the price calculation code for zen cart (in shopping_cart.php), I found this comment:
// appears to confuse products priced by attributes
This product IS priced by attribute, so I'm thinking the problem is related to that issue.
I was going to add the attributes price to the free_shipping_price. When I went to do so I found that this had already been done, but was commented out.
I removed the comment and it seems to work, but I'm a little worried as to why it was commented out.
Code:// $this->free_shipping_price += $qty * zen_add_tax( ($new_attributes_price), $products_tax);
It appears so. I briefly searched the forum and only found a few cases of people reporting the problem. There is this one older post that also has a work-around. It's not the most elegant solution but looks like it should work for the most part: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24320Quote:

Ex. For a product that cost $30, it shows me $2000 for shipping even if I am sending it to Lima Peru.
If I change the following to:
B.
Created 2 Zones Definitions:
shp: Lima --> Country: Peru, Zone: Lima
shp: Provincia --> Country: Peru, Zone: All Zones
Then for the example above, a product that cost $30, it shows me $10. Even if I am sending it to Lima and not to Provincia.
It seems that Zencart does not recognize the city when cheking out and it only take the country information.
I know that it should be a solution.
I am using: ZenCart 1.2.7 (due to a Template from TMonster) and also tried with ZenCart 1.3 with same result.
Thanks,
Pepe
Has any one used this Great Mod with more than one languge?
I can not seem to get the 2nd language mzmt.php file that has been translated to be used. It resides in the 2nd language location includes/languages/2ndlang/modules/shipping
But it is not being used. the default file in english is being called. I tried placing the translated file in the english location to insure that I did not have a corrupt file and it displays in the 2nd language fine but being in the english folder this is also used for display in english.
Is there a solution to have this mod use the file in the 2nd language that I am missing?
my product weights are listed in kgs and so is my table for shipping. however, when it calculates shipping the module converts the wiehgts to lbs and then applies the table for shipping cost. is there a way to not get it to convert the kgs to lbs and use the table as is?
sorry, that is not what it is doing. it is actually a standard wiehgt of 3 to the weight of the products. is there to set that to zeor?
sorry once again .....
spoke to soon. it was set to 3 as the standard package wiehgt under config->shipp/packaging

But when Im try use new zone - it dosnt work.
I want to offer three shippings from three different shipping companies. each shipping company having one option making to make it a total of three options. can mzmt do this?
i can only configure so that it seems like it is the same company with three different options. for example one day, second day and express all with dhl. i want to offer one option each from company 1, 2, and 3.
i tried to fiddle with mzmt by giving two different geo zones the same area. for example, set geo zone 1 to us and geo zone 2 to us. however, upon checkout it only shows the table from the first geo zone and not the second one.
I've installed it and all the new options are showing up in admin. However, I'm trying to set up the zones and all the is available is 'rest of the world'. I have set up my zones in the zone definitions.
Can someone please enlighten me as to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
My mzmt isn't showing up in the checkout options. There is just a broken border.
I'm using Zen Cart 1.3.0.2 and Mzmt v. 1.101.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you enabled it in admin?
Yes, I had it enabled in the admin.
There is absolutely nothing that says each zone can only have one carrier. It is just text and can be whatever you want it to be. Why don't you name the zone title something generic, for example "US Shipping", and then name each table way what you want, for example "DHL Ground", "FedEx 2nd Day", etc.Quote:

At the moment I have 3 geo zones
1. Europe under 1kg
2. World zones 1 & 2 under 1kg
3. Rest of World (not configured yet)
Each geo zone has just 1 table using the products weight with shipping address to determine costings.
From Parcelline I have this for Europe under 1kg
0.01g - 99.9g = £5
100g - 239.9g = £6
240g - 439.9g = £7
440 - 639.9g = £8
640 - 839.9g = £9
840g - 999g = £10
The shipping has been entered in like this
Geo Zone 1 Shipping Table 1
.10:5.00,.24:6.00,.44:7.00,.64:8.00,.84:9.00,.99:10.00
For some reason the pricing does not line up correcly and I've had to add a £1 shipping charge in order for them to display.
The problem I have thatI just can't work out is why if I add products to my cart in access of 1kg the shipping options are still available to me with the highest shipping fee being shown.
Imagine someone ordering 10kgs of stuff and only paying £10 the customer would break my balls.
How can I hide the shipping if the order is for more than 1kg ?
Test site here
http://www.woolyhats.com/zen135/
Most products have weights entered but they are not accurate and just used for testing purposes
When setting up a test account
Sweden = in Europe
China = world zones 1 and 2
Thanks
I should also point out that I simply cannot change the wording of the shipping zones and add in the pricing for weights above 1kg as Countries outside of Europe are charged an extra £25 for Customs Clearance.
Therefore I would need 4 zones
Europe under 1kg
World Zones 1 & 2 under 1kg
European Countris over 1kg
Non European Countris over 1kg
The maximum weight they will ship is 30kg
Did you name your zone definitions like this
Shp: Europe
Shp: USA/Canada
Shp: Somewhere
You have to put the Shp: in front of the place you want to ship to in order for it to show in the mzmt dropdowns when you setup your shipping rates
Good luck
thanks dreamscape. i thin i will do just that.
is ther a way to set the rates as $1/lbs ie 5lbs will cost $5 ang 20 will be 20.
actually, what i really want to do is set the rate for the first 5 lbs and after that have a flat rate per extra lb that adds to the last one.
but when i use the method showed in the instructins it does not do that exactly.
for eample, i want to charge:
1 lbs $2
2 lbs $4
3 lbs $6
every lbs over that $1
so i packag of 10 lbs will be $13.
but if i do this with the following expressions: 4:100% it just takes the waeight and multiplies it by the percent. however, i want to take the percent and add it to the cost of the weight of 3 lbs. so, the above expression gives me for a package of 10 lbs and price of $10.
well yes 100% of 4 is 4 and 100% of 10 is 10.
But even your example doesn't add up. You say one thing (should be the cost of the 3rd plus the 100%), but then give another answer. You say you want 10lbs to be $13 but according to the data given and what you're saying, you should want 10lbs to be $16. So I'm not really sure what you're saying or what you want.
But to answer the basic question, no inner adding is supporting in the current public version. You'll have to some up with a formula that probably involves using the handling so that the end result is exactly what you want.
Is it possible to setup MZMC to cover "all other" (non-specified) places with shipping "TBD" (to be determined)? Or to easily add a huge list of countries to a single zone, and then flag it somehow to note that S/H will be calculated after the sale?
I know that this can be done with the normal "zones" system, by specifying a value of "-1" in the shipping table field - but when I try it with MZMC, it doesn't seem to work...
What I need is a shipping method that will:
(a) cover the rest of the world (mainly non-US)
(b) deliver a note to the buyer that they will be notified with the final cost of shipping, once it has been calculated
Thanks :)
twykr.
thanks for the answer. i dont think i can it to what i want it but i have figured something close to what i want and it suffices.
is there a way to control max shipping weight for each individual zone?
This makes no sense to me but I can't get this to work with Hawaii or Alaska - I've tried adding it to the Lower 48 zone and have also tried creating a Hawaii zone from scratch. Now it won't even work with the provided AK&HI sql from the original files
I'm testing this fine with other us addresses, Europe and Asai without trouble.
Absolutely confused. I'm probably doing something wrong but I can't figure it out.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Is it possible to make it so that if a person orders over a specific total then they cannot choose Standard shipping?
My client wants , lets say for instance someone orders over 200 worth of product, client wants the customer to have to use priority/express shipping ...
TIA!
...and if I don't want to pay for priority shipping?
I dont know :lol:
Im gonna switch client over to per item shipping :lol:
I think that will work better for what they are selling
I have set up 3 zones (the store is located in Maryland) under Locations/taxes -> Zone definitions.
1) Maryland
2) Shp: US
3) Shp: CA - canada
Maryland is a Tax Zone
- Select Maryland, and click on Tax Rates.
- Tax Class Title = Taxable goods
- Zone = Maryland
- Tax rate = 5.0000%
- Description = MD TAX 5.0%
- Priority = 1
Now for MZMT under shipping, I have it setup like so:
- Geo Zone 1 = Shp: US
- Tax Class = taxable goods
- Tax Basis = store (supposedly so anything bought in the same tax zone as the store gets taxed)
- Sort order = 1
------------------
- GeoZone 1 = Shp: US
- Table Method = price
- Handling fee = 0
- Then I have my shipping rates tables 1-4
-------------------
- GeoZone 2 = Shp: Canada
everything is the same as GeoZone 1, but I add a $10 handling fee.
Now here's the problem...
When test ordering from outside the state of MD everything is fine.
When ordering from within Maryland, where the order info is the Tax is zero. When you go to the right, where shipping is added, it says MD tax 7%. It calculates the tax on shipping only but as far as I can tell it calculates it correctly at 5% of shipping. However, the tax on the merchandise is not added.
Any clues as to what's goin ong here? IT shoudl say MD tax 5% and the tax should be added to the total, but it's not.
Thanks,
Brain21
Nevermind... I got this sorted out. I accidentally forgot to set some of the items in the catalos' tax class to Taxable Goods. D'oh!

Thanks for the update ... always helpful to know the solution to a problem ... :smile:
I've got mine configured, but it won't show up in the checkout process.

Hi all,
I am new here and not very familiar with Zencart. I made some threads already, but unfortunately without resolving my problem and I really tried very hard and now for a long time to read me through, but somehow I don't get it.
I am going to open a shop just for the Guatemalan market, that means I won't ship outside the country for now.
The logistic company provided me a list of their zones, which I would like to configure the same way.
The Zones are devided into Local, A, B, C and D. The shipping costs depend on the weight, but at least this I understand how to do once I understand the rest.
Zone A has three cities and each city has other little villages.
Zone B has 14 cities and each city has other litlle villages, etc. in total there are 33 cities with 700 villages.
How and where can I set the shipping?
Is it in Zencart admin/LocationTaxes/ZonesDefinitions? Do I have to write down all 700 villages there? In ZonesDefinitions I can only put the country-city-code, but in my case I need country-city-village-code (the cities would be like provinces/states).
The next problem is when I go to Zencart admin/modules/shipping, which of the shipping modules do I use, is it Zone Rates? If so, there I can only enter three different Zones, but the Zones just show abbr. for countries, not states...
I am even not sure, if I have installed this so called MZMT...
I am very sorry if I explained myself so complicated (and if something is not clear, please ask me), but I really need help on that.
Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
Kruna
Hi all,
