I have been trying to locate the documentation on moving my store (version 1.3) to a new directory within my site but I cannot seem to find it, even in the archives... Could someone let me know where I can see it or let me know the procedure?

Basically, it's a standard copy.
You'll just need to edit the two configure files (admin/includes/ and includes/) to change the effected links.

I followed the directions here and in the FAQ - easy enough,
However, it still breaks. I can get a top page, but all the photo links are broken, and all the links on the sidebars are broken.
It was originally under public_html/public_html, and I wanted to move it to root (public_html).
I moved it back, restored the 2 config files and its working again, however, I would like to shift it to the root dir.

You had it where?
/public_html/public_html sounds like a mis-configured site ... :blink:
Sounds like you didn't change the links in the two configure files after moving the files to the root.
Make sure you have the proper settings in admin/includes/configure.php AND includes/configure.php

Upon initial installation, it said that public_html already existed (which it does, my hosting company has all our visible files under that dir). So I put your public_html under that already existing dir, as I was not ready to migrate yet.
So - 96 hours later (and no sleep:sleepy: ), I've migrated completely, using redirects . I'd like to get it in the root pubic_html, but even after configuring the 2 files (easy enough), weirdness abounds.
So I moved everything back, restored my 2 config files and now its working again.
Any help would be enormously appreciated.

Success. Thanks for everyone's input, however I did find that there were a couple of interesting things I ran into:
In both the /includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php, in addition to modifying the 2 and 3 lines as directed by the documentation, respectively, I also had to modify
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');
as these are relative paths and they were pointing to the former subdirectory that it was in.
Additionally, I found that it worked better for me to change the session path first in the admin module, then do the other two files. When I tried it the other way, the program kept looping an error message every time i hit "save", by looking for the former subdirectory, and would not save it.
Don't know if I was doing this bass ackwards, but it's definately been an education:thumbsup: :thumbsup:

thanks for posting about this. I followed the FAQ and got the same weirdness. I too had to revert. I will try it as you suggest.
