I'm seeing no tax-description on checkout

Hi,

I've encountered a "bug", when you're checking out (v 1.3.6) in step 2/3 and 3/3 you get a Total view of everything like this:

Sub-Total:

€0,00
Store Pickup (Walk In):


€170,81
:


€1.069,81


but, as you can see with " €170,81" there is no text shown, it should say "Tax"... I tried to solve it myself, but in the language pack etc I couldnt see a fault. I have to say that Im no php-genious, I just tried to find some words I saw on that page and according to that I did my "research"...
How can this be solved?

Describing what you see on a page using just text is rather futile. Can you upload a screenshot of just the offending area?

here you can see what I see.. I put an elips around the place where the word "Tax" has to stand.. but its missing as you can see..

When you created your tax rates, what did you enter for a description? If you leave it blank, you'll see ...well ... blanks...

I thought it would show the Name of it and not the description, that why I left it blank..

I have the occasional moment of brilliance ... in this case I just spotted an anomaly that I'd run into once before :)

I figured it was to take it's value from

define('MODULE_ORDER_TOTAL_TAX_TITLE', 'Tax');

in the file:

includes\languages\english\modules\order_total\ot _tax.php

I am right there with you. First I deleted the tx class before the I deleted the rate. ouch. Had to do some database repairs. Good thing it is small right now.

After I added the taxes back i did so w/o the descriptions. At least I found the post.

I have this similar problem. I don't have a tax rate for out of state sales, so I have no place for a description. I just get the :$00. I posted the question here:

I know this is an old thread... but given the amount of space in the header, and detail line - could the 'name' be put up on the detail line as well? This would allow us to spot a blank fairly quickly...

Ya, that's something that's been added to the v2.0 edition currently in development, along with warnings if a blank value is found or is attempted.
