You could start with "Ask A Product Question" - a lot of what you need is in this mod.

I presume the first folder in the path isn't necessary ' Report Price'??
Correct - that folder just serves to group all the files. cd one level down and you'll see that the contrib and your cart have a parallel structure.

I did that by reading trough Scott's "ask a question" 1.7 contibution.
There is an extended description how to have this option within the product detail.

Even turning off the Sidebox in the Admin panel will work just as well. As for the coding, i didnt think to add it because it wasnt something i wanted or needed. However if i ever update it, i will add it with the text file.Quote:

I've found a "bug/fault" in both Ask a question and Report a cheaper price, the bug probably has continued from Ask a question since Report a cheaper price is modified from it.

This is how the bug/fault works on my site, but on Darkwander's site Ask a question disfunctions the report a cheaper price since it pulls the modules link a notch down and lands on the report a cheaper price-place, and report a cheaper price module goes all the way down and covers his currencies title.
I don't know how to solve this problem, hope someone does and writes it here..
And please write back aswell about how come the report cheaper price doesnt show when a customer is logged in..?

We are currently experiencing problem with the mod as it's not sending all the information provided by the customer. The mod works fine and emails fine but the email sent doesn't include the Store Details (store name, location/url and price.) This problem only happens when sending html emails.

Just wondering if its possible to not have this mod as a sidebox and have it as a link in the inforamtion sidebox as a generic form similar to contact us?
This is a good mod, only if I can get it to work. I am running ver. 1.3.8a of Zencart.
I see everything, but when I click on the link in info box, nothing happens. It also moves my right sideboxes to the left.
When I I click on the title link, it take me to my "Featured items" list.
I have checked and double check to see if I missed something and I am not able to find anything I missed.
Can anyone help me out???

Is there any way of having a image in the sidebox instead of text?
On my site it is actually applying the link twice but one is "invisible" the only way you know it is there is there is a white line through the sidebox below it (Have you seen ...) and if you hover above the white line it shows the link to the price match in the bottom of the screen.Quote:

FYI: It does not matter where this box is placed in the sort order or left vs. right side, the line and link show up in the box under it and it only happens with this sidebox.
I have tried changing every variable, true / false statement, renaming the _blank_sidebox to report_a_price_sidebox (still works with this change but it didn't fix it), moved it from template_default, to MY_Template, changing the sort order, etc.
I am baffled. What could make this extra line and link appear in the next box? :eek: :frusty:

Well I got it working a different way. I got rid of the side box and used a combo of the newest version of Ask a Question and Report a Cheaper Price.
I still have no answer for the sidebox version. :frusty: But at least it is working! :smile:
