I am getting reports from potential customers that when they are trying to check out they are getting a message that says that i am not delivering in there area.
Can anyone give me a solution to this as it is not happening to everyone.

Check each of your active shipping modules.
Inside the Edit menu of each module you can see what "zone" you've associated with that module. If the customer's selected shipping address is *not* in the zone specified, that module will not be available to them. If no modules are available, they'll see something like "sorry, but we're not shipping to your region at this time. please contact the store owner for alternate arrangements."
If you set the "zone" restriction to "--none--" then the module will be available to everyone.
As for customers being "in" a certain zone, check Admin->Locations/Taxes->Zone Definitions. For each zone you have, click on the Details button and be sure you've set the right state/province/regions that apply to that particular zone.

1. What are these customers' addresses?
ie:, city, state/prov, zip/postal, country? (don't need name or street info)
2. What shipping modules do you have activated?
3. What zip is your store set to in Admin->Config->Shipping/Packaging ?
4. What zone is your store set to in Admin->Config->My Store ?

Is your table rate module set to calculate based on price or on weight ?
It is set to weight.
I have just had a report that some got the same message when trying to order a gift voucher. :lamo:

No pattern at all as to what I can see.
The first lady who reported it wanted a cd, then next lady an order over £30 and the third lady a gift voucher.......
Is this a clean install of v1.3.7 or an upgrade?
How did you install or upgrade your site?
Have you tried to:
1 edit the module
2 copy your settings to NotePad
3 remove the module
4 install the module
5 reconfigure the module
Can you repeat this error if you make an account with your customer's address where they are having this problem?
this was an upgrade that I did with afo holding my hand.
To do the steps you suggested you need to be really specific how I do them as I am new to all this.
If you can tell me how to do the steps you are suggesting I shall give it a go and let you know if it works.

Hmm...I am having the same problem. It is an upgraded (database) install of 1.3.7 and I created a test account for me with the same address as my store.
I then added an additional address to my test account from another customer in another state to see if that was the problem and still get this....and it seems just with gift certificates (which I'm using as priced by attribute).
Do you have the Product marked as:
Product is Virtual YES
Does the Product Model start with:
GIFT
That is case sensative ...

The Product settings are specific on some features of Zen Cart so that they can perform correctly on checkout or adding to the cart etc.
This happens to be one of them ... :smile:
The product in not virtual and I am still having reports of this problem.
Have you an URL to this product that is not working?
It doesn;t seem to be happening on a particular product, just a particular person at the moment, from what I can tell
Same problem on a site I am working on.
I can have a cart full of physical, non-virtual products and checkout fine. I can have a cart full of downloads and checkout fine. As soon as I have a mix, I get the shipping error about not delivering to my region.
I can't mix non-virtual products with products that have the "Always free shipping" attribute either. Enabling the freeshipper module avoids the error but then the other shipping methods are not available, only free shipping.
I'll see if I can narrow the problem down further.
The problem is definitely associated with the downloads on my site. I can add a virtual product to the catalog and fill out all fields (desc, price, etc.) and still checkout if it is mixed with non-virtual products. i can even add all the option names and values and still checkout without the shipping error. As soon as try to checkout with a attribute that has an associated download (combined with a non-virt product) I get the error.
Any ideas?
OK, after further reading I've changed downloads to be non-virtual. :unsure:Thanks to Ajeh for repeating this info in many posts... That's got to be one of the most non-intuitive things I've encountered in ZC to date, especially since the non-virtual product description specifically states that they require a shipping address.
Anyway, changing the downloads to non-virtual + always free shipping didn't fix anything. As I mentioned before, products with 'always free shipping' are causing the conflict as well. I also tried creating a new zone 'All Countries' and enabling that for the shipping modules instead of '--none--' but that didn't help either. I'm running out of ideas.
Ahhh, the mystery continues... This is just getting weirder and weirder.
A little more info: I can have a mix of physical items and download items, but there cannot be the same number of each or I get the shipping error... huh? :huh:
To recap:
Only physical items in the cart = no problem
Only download items in the cart = no problem
1 physical item + 1 item with download(s) = 'cannot deliver' error
X physical items + Y items with downloads(s) = no problem if X≠Y
X physical items + Y items with downloads(s) = 'cannot deliver' error if X=Y
If anyone has ANY suggestions I'll try just about anything. I'm willing to give admin access to mods... Sorry to sound desparate, but i am.
i think it's safe to say that a situation where whether or not the order can be shipped depends on the ratio of downloads vs. physical products is a bug, correct?
