How do I change the URL for my site to the new one for GC's Emails?
Yikes. LOL
When I first setup my Zencart store I used my existing host service and put the zencart in a sub folder so,
http://shirts-and-stuff.com/zenstore
Now I have a new domain name that goes to the store and works fine.
http://www.gearedtoride.com/
Except when I just sent out a couple GC's now the address in the GC Email is showing
Gearedtoride.com goes direct to the store now, so I do not want the shirts-and-stuff.com/zenstore in any E-mails, or anywhere else really.

You didn't say exactly what you did, but here's the proper process:
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?...that-directory
Re: How do I change the URL for my site to the new one for GC's Emails?
Ok, sorry I thought I did but maybe not clearly.
I don't really want to move anything or rename anything right now. Just have the correct URL show for everything. I'm still not too sure how to do that, if the tutorial is what I need or what to change for this.
The root of my main hosting service is Shirts-and-stuff and the Zenstore is in a sub folder named Zenstore.
I so when I set up the site the URL was http://shirts-and-stuff.com/zenstore/ that I was using and it works fine still, but not what I want for public URL now.
NOW, I have registered the new domain name gearedtoride.com and it points directly to the zencart folder as the root of gearedtoridecom.
http://gearedtoride.com/ loads the main page of my store and is all that shows for the url, which is what I want.
Everything should be gearedtoride.com now, but the other one still shows also for somethings.
When I sent out E-mails for Gift Certificates the URL showing to click on to redeem them or visit store is the http://shirts-and-stuff.com/zenstore URL but I want it to be the http://gearedtoride.com/ URL
I am not really moving or renaming anything as the actual root or sub folder, I just need the URL to change on everything to gearedtoride.com and stop showing the shirts-and-stuff.com stuff.

Although I haven't gone to look at the content in the link posted by stevesh, I would suggest that you do take a look to see if it applies to your situation. Also, a note about a couple of things. If you are wanting to completely change all links over to your new address and "forget" your old address, be sure you consider all locations uhave posted it. For example take a look at the signature on this site. That aside, have you modified both configure.php files to reflect your new http/https address? After that, was there any hard coding done to specifically include that information?Have you reviewed your My Store area to be sure that it reflects your new URI? What about the email area? Does it use an email account under your old host name?
Re: How do I change the URL for my site to the new one for GC's Emails?
If I understand, I don't think that's what you want to do. You're still seeing the old URL for pages other than the main page because that's where the entries in your configure.php files point.
Why don't you just set up your new domain as the root of your hosting account and forget the old one all together ? Then you can use the tutorial I mentioned.

Now that I have followed the links in full and in part (excluding the zenstore portion of the path) I'm with stevesh for the solution. Which is to have your new url point to the root of your hosting account (typically public_html) and then follow the directions of the link stevesh provided to have your store hosted from your new url. A few things this does: 1) both urls will point to your zc store. Upon initial entry into a web browser the guest wwill see whatever url they used to get to the store. Subsequent clicks will show your new url. 2) this will minimize issues you may end up having with .htaccess files. 3) you can drop the old url and not have to worry about it going to anything/paying for this un needed url. Possibly a few other things as well.
All that. Said, the situation asked about has been addressed from two perspectives from what has been provided thus far, the solution offered by stevesh is the preferred. The only reason I can think of not to use that solution is if there are still plans to use the original uri for some alternate yet needed purpose. Without further discussion additional help can not exactly come from now where. :)

OK, I will give that a try.
Thanks.
