Yeah, I just noticed that, too.
Whoever you are, Mike, thanks for putting in some work on this. I've been waiting for USPS Click N' Ship integration for a while.
I haven't tried it out yet, myself...got a few more steps until I get to that point. But I'm looking forward to it, if it does what it says it does.

One Q for the developer, if he's reading: How does it integrate with Adam's Quickbooks Import/QBI Interface? Since I've already installed that, I hope this one won't conflict in some way...
Here's the topic for this mod: Endicia Quickbooks
Hi, guys good to hear people are liking the work that got put into this.
Here is an update of what this mod does for this thread as it suits the plugin name as well:
Zen-Cart Order Manager is your all in one management program that will allow you to print USPS postage labels for your orders received on your website, provide tracking information on packages immediately to your customers and handling your accounting needs by exporting you sales to QuickBooks so you can handle your taxes, sales reports all in a matter of a few clicks!
It was designed with the average business owner in mind in terms of flexibility, easy of use and expandability. Zen-Cart Order Manager can quickly connect to your website download all new orders placed on it. Tell you what was ordered where it needs to be shipped and how fast! Simple click ship your current record/sale and with the power of Endicia.com’s program called Dazzle you will have a label ready for you package in a matter of minutes. Please note that Endicia.com’s Premium service is required to ship packages through USPS and they do charge a monthly fee of around $15. You will need their Premium service as the program requires their XML support for shipping label creation. Also you will need to own a copy of QuickBooks to export your sales to it. The export function of the plugin works completely without any need for additional payment services and does not require Endicia.com’s shipping service to work!
Please note this works with 1.2.7 and 1.3.x
Also does not depend completely on Endicia service or quickbooks. Working on adding many more features in the future here as well.
Also this Quickbooks export functionality does not conflict with Adam's at all. They both can be installed without any issues.
Please note I also included a goodie in this project that you can optionally install that makes the payment module with sort id of 0 your default payment method meaning the radio box it selected unlike the typically zencart install that does not make any radio button selected.
Well we all know how customers are they see they do they dont click the radio box :-) This fixes this problem as customers will now see it is clickable as one will be selected. Typcially you have one that customers use the most anyone which hopefully is the first in your sort order making it easier for them :-) Enjoy
Hey there:smile:
Initially, I only want to set this up as an interface for downloading to QB. Since I do use Endicia I thought I might try this way instead of QBI.
I have set things up as instructed until I got to the shipping tab. I thought I would be able to just ignore that step since I wasn't using the shipping anyway. I ran the order import as instructed, everything seemed to work fine, but I do not see any orders in OI.
What am I missing?
This module is looking extremely tempting to use...I can't tell you how long I spend copying and pasting orders from my Zen-Cart admin to QuickBooks...
But I do have a few questions:
1. Do these get imported as individual sales receipts?
2. How does it know what item to use from my product list? For example, I sell shirts, so each item has different sizes. On my site, you just sleect the item and size and you're done. In QuickBooks, i have set up individual items for each size. So one shirt design is basically six different items because I carry six sizes. I wouldn't mind altering either one too much, but I want to know how this works first.
3. I accept credit cards and PayPal from my site and have both accounts set up in QuickBooks. So when I bring orders over into QuickBooks, I need to specify what account the money goes into...if someone orders using PayPal, I have to deposit into my PayPal aco**** and so on. Can I set up this module to handle this automatically?
Thanks for your time...I look forward to using this module.
I think im going to try this out too
I really appreciate the time Mike has put into this. Has ANYONE installed this using the "override system"? I anticipate a "nightmare" ZC upgrade without it.
I am getting an error unable to connect to remote host
Couple of questions can it cope with prefix to the database tables.
Does it understand localhost (testing locally) and do I need the admin directory in the sever address field.
Thanks
MG
I have this working with 2 flaws.
1. The order date in QB will only be correct if you import your orders to QB daily. I confirmed this at the OI forum on SourceForge.net. Given the other options thus far, I am willing to live w/ that. (Of course the date can always be changed manually in QB if that isn't possible.)
2. OI appears to ignore coupons/discounts. Has anyone else run into this and found a work around? I will head over to SourceForge and ask around as well, but I don't expect to get much over there. It seems like a shopping cart side of things, but one can hope!
I've been playing w/ Order Manager and QBI for months now. Over the last 24 hours I have devoted significant time to it. Both seem to have shortcomings, but Order Manager is SO close.
Keeping my fingers crossed,
Audra
I am interested in using this mod to get the credit card bullet automatically selected. I was just wondering if this mod works with version 1.3.5. I noticed in the download section it only lists 1.3.0.
I decided to try it out and got it to work with 1.3.5. The only part I used was the addon for the bullet to automatically be checked on checkout. Great addition!
think i might have to give this baby a try . i have tried so many other options and not been happy.
This would be nice if it actually worked. The Zencart plug in for the Order Integrator program doesn't work and the author is MIA.
I'd like to get Zencart integrated with Endicia, but given that the only method for doing this doesn't work, I guess I'm out of luck. Does anyone have Zencart integrated with Endicia? I'm sure I could slap together some code to make this work, but I have a thing about not spending time programming things that someone else has, or should have already programmed.
I'd also be interested in hearing if anyone has got endicia/zencart integration going. I've been looking for Endicia Integration for awhile myself, but it doesn't sound like something most folks are doing.
I'm not sure how flexible Endicia's Dazzle is, but it shouldn't be too hard to format the shipping/order info into XML, and then somehow pass the tracking numbers back to zencart. I'm going to look into this some more this weekend.
im having a problem with Order Integrator, is that it keep telling me that there is the file OLE....dll that it can't write ....
and when i open the options to put my user name and password i can't find the same options they are very small options without any name or password or anything, which is confusing because i can't continue any step further ,,, what can i do now...
I'm getting the error:
Run-time error '3078';
The Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot find the input table or query 'orders_total'. Make sure it exists and that its name is spelled correctly.
After that, I have to restart the program to get it to work again, otherwise I get the error:
Run-time error'429':
ActiveX component can't create object
Has anyone had luck getting this to successfully import all order from the downloaded .csv files?
It would be nice if the author supported this mod. In its current state I think it should be pulled from the downloads section since it is not supported and people can't get it to work.
Has this mod been updated to 1.3.8?
chiming in to keep updated on this order manager as I'm considering Zen...
Just a status report here.
I'm running ZC 1.3.8 and had no problems connecting to my store or running this mod. The desktop app works great, I can download my orders, update them with tracking numbers or comments or whatever, and upload back to my store and it updates the comments and emails the customers.
I'm trying to build a bridge to Stamps.com now to automate retrieval of tracking numbers: Stamps doesn't like ANY file upload format so far (even it's own export!!!) so Stamps is my main problem. Otherwise, this mod and the desktop app worked fine.
Tapper, what version of Zen Cart Order Manager are you using? Is this the one in the downloads section?
Also, what version of Order integrator are you using?
Thanks.
Hi
Zen 1.3.8, this version of the order manager: zen_cart_order_manager_1-0-0 from the downloads section. Order Integrator is 1.0.0.12. All should be recent, I just started this project a couple weeks ago.
The problem with the Stamps import turned out to be bad EOF markers so the first record was running after the headings. Import is fine now.
The first step of the app is done:
- use order manager to download the orders;
- I prompt the user to select the downloaded file
- fill listboxes with all order numbers and unique list of dates so they can select from / to range to export
- make a txt file of addresses for export to Stamps
I tried using the address info in the Order Integrator mdb, it's one big glob with line breaks while the download file has semicolons between the address fields.
Next step is to export ship info from Stamps, open that csv file in Excel and insert the tracking numbers into the Order Manager mdb file with SQL. Then use the Order Interator app to upload to the sites. I already have the vba code to fiddle with the mdb, so I'm pretty close to finished with this first pass.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm assuming the version of Order Integrator you mentioned "1.0.0.12" is a typo and you meant 1.0.12, correct?
So you don't get any errors or have any issues using the latest version of Order Integrator and the latest version of ZenCart?
I really don't understand all the other comments by users saying it doesn't work.
Regarding the use of stamps.com, have you considered just using endicia instead?
I used to be an stamps.com user, then I just used paypal shipping and as of the last couple of months I've been using endicia and it's great, it's the best.
The only thing I don't like about endicia (stamps.com has the same thing) is that you have to subscribe to one of the higher priced plans ($35/month) just to be able to use SCAN form.
So has anyone got this to work with endicia? How d you go about installing it into an existing zen store? I look at the install.txt and it is the install instructions for installing zencart. Is there a readme or install doe for the order manager? What is the process of doing it? I am very knowledgable in putting in modules, using zencart etc....but cannot find any docs on this and am afraid to try it on an exosting store. I am on MAC but if need be everything works in parallels ad am currently using endicia. Any help on the process of getting this going would be GREATLY apreciated.
Thanks
Matt
I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a and Order Manager 1.0 with Order Integrator 1.0.0.12. When I installed Order Integrator, I got the error message "Error opening file for writing" C:\Windows\System32\oleaut32.dll and for olepro.dll
I ignored this error as some others have instructed and the installed completed with no additional errors. I then installed the ZenCart plugin. On the "Options" tab in the plugin configuration, I typed in my URL, correct username and password, and clicked "refresh" and I get malformed URL messages. I've tried typing my URL with and without http, www, trailing slash, etc, and every time I get the malformed URL error.
It does seem there is very little information on this error, and I would be interested to know if someone else has experienced this, or has a solution.
Thanks!
Tim
Update...I got it to connect to my store by removing and reinstalling the program and plugin, and now I cannot import the .csv files, I get a runtime error '3078' Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query "orders_total".
I'm happy I made some progress, but I am also seeing what many of you are seeing---that this addon is probably not usable.
I am using ZenCart 1.3.7 and have been using Endicia Dazzle independently. I'm considering integrating them with Zen Cart Order Manager and have a question.
I use Quickbooks Point of Sale for order entry, not Quickbooks Financial Software. So I would not want to use the Quickbooks importing function of Zen Cart Order Manager.
Can I use the Zen Cart Order Manager for printing the Endicia shipping labels without using the Quickbooks importing function?
Another question: Does anyone know of an interface between Zen Cart and Quickbooks Point of Sale?
Thanks for all your contributions!

Hi, having a small problem with order integrator. I've got everything set up as shown in the instructions, but when I go to download new orders I am notified that there aren't any new orders! Anyone encountered this before?
Anyone at all with experience in this? Emailed the dev last week, no word back as of yet.
Anyone get this to work on 1.3.9?
Is it supported?
Are there any better alternatives with regard to integrating with Endicia?
